"I arrived late at night and initially planned to stay for two nights as a transition. I only started looking for hotels the day before departure, and after getting tired of searching, I just picked one that offered good value for money. I didn't have high hopes at first, but after checking in, I decided to extend my stay for a few more nights. The place smelled lovely from the moment I walked in, and the room was super clean, just like in the pictures! There wasn't any musty smell, and the decor was particularly cozy. Plus, it was a mountain view room. In China, similar guesthouses during the off-season would easily cost 500+ RMB, so this was incredibly good value! Dining and everything else was very convenient. There's a 7-Eleven just across the road downstairs, and it's only a few minutes' walk to the beach. The guesthouse owner is Chinese and very thoughtful; they even offered complimentary drinks upon check-in. The owner also helped us book massages, and we could ask them anything we didn't understand. It felt very safe; I left my money and electronics around freely for several days without anything going missing, though there's also a safe if you're worried. After staying a few nights on Phi Phi Island, I came back and extended my stay here again. Phi Phi Island is beautiful, but the hotel bedding there tended to be damp, and the water quality wasn't great. Coming back here, the blankets felt so soft, and there wasn't any strange odor at all – probably because I had something to compare it to, haha! This will definitely be my top choice next time I visit."
