Overall Experience We had a great stay at this homestay! The facilities were clean, including the walls, balcony, toilet, bed, and wardrobe area. Housekeeping was available (optional), and they did a nice job tidying the room without moving our belongings or luggage. They also replaced our towels daily, though we did notice small brown stains on some of them—hopefully, this can be improved. Bathroom & Safety The toilet area could use some attention. The floor was quite slippery—I actually slipped and hurt my leg once. After we mentioned it, the staff quickly added a curtain, which shows they really listen to guest feedback. A sliding door to separate the shower from the toilet area would be a great long-term fix. Housekeeping emptied the trash and provided one tissue roll daily, but we did notice hair left on the floor sometimes. Amenities The room came with a kettle, coffee/tea packets, and 3 bottles of water each day. There’s also a small fridge for storing food—very convenient. Location The location is fantastic—safe, family-friendly, and close to everything. Kata Beach is just a few minutes’ walk, and Patong Beach is a short drive away. There are multiple 7-Elevens, a big market, and many restaurants nearby, including halal options, which is great for Muslim travelers. We really enjoyed being able to explore the area at night without going far. Security The property feels very secure. You enter through a black gate with a key, then a glass door with a card tap. However, the glass door was sometimes left open, so we didn’t always need to tap. While the gate added an extra layer of security, it would be better if both entry points worked consistently. Minor Issues On our last day, we found a small lizard in the room, even though we never left the balcony doors open—not a big issue, but worth noting. Service The staff and owners were very friendly and spoke English well. They were always willing to help and accommodated our requests promptly. Final Verdict Despite a few minor hiccups, we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this homestay for its excellent location, cleanliness, and welcoming hosts.

My initial thought on this accommodation business is in some ways positive. If it is viewed purely as a 'hostel' with an associated coffee shop, then it definitely has attributes (and I'll come back to those later). But if taken at face value on the basis of its tariff cost and amenities, both real and indicated, then there are several problems with it. The first is the way the premises is represented on the Trip com platform. Photographs of the double bedroom include one of a bathroom. The attached text description and its context makes the plain implication that the room has an ensuite bathroom, which it does not. If little scrutiny is applied when reading the description, this fact will escape the readers attention. Anyone looking to make a reservation quickly can easily be misled (inadvertently?) into believing that this is a 'hotel' style room. Many hostels do offer rooms with ensuite bathrooms after all. The bathroom is communal and is inconveniently located on the ground floor. Rooms are above this. A second related criticism is the room size description - 18 m sq is quoted. The room has dimensions of 3 x 3.5 m. That is, about 10 m sq ! Although late February is still peak season in Phuket, it has to be said that the room tariff of almost $60 AUD per night is exorbitant. It may be considered acceptable for a 18 m sq hotel style room, given the circumstances, but a room of this kind at this particular locality ought to be offered at a lower price. Having said this, I concede that the reservation was made late and in haste. Now onto the good things. The 10 m sq double bed room has old but high quality wooden furniture which serves its purpose well. The air conditioning is responsive and strong There is a large kitchen next to the bathroom/wash basin (trough). It's equipped with a large fridge, sink, cutlery etc as well as a coffee maker ( + ground coffee). A delicious banana cake was offered to guests. Clothes can be washed and dried via a coin operated machine. Other attributes include the woman owner/ manager who has a professional approach and an attitude very well suited to the hospitalality jndustry. The coffee shop also makes decent coffees and ham n cheese croissants.

Stayed at this hostel with my kids, and they absolutely loved it! It's mostly young people here. The free breakfast includes bread, biscuits, and milk, and we were lucky enough to have stir-fried noodles with egg yesterday, which was delicious. There's also a big night market with lots of great food in the park next door on Sundays.

I liked this hostel very much. It provides everything you need, like shampoo and shower gel; breakfast is included. Laundry service is machine self-operated with coins. You can save money with drying because they have a covered area for you to dry your clothing; it dries very quickly. It's close to Phuket old town Sunday street market. The only thing that I didn't like is that the aircon is not on all the time, they turn it off from 11:30 to 16:30. They keep the fan on so it is bearable. The hostel is very clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. There are lots of restaurants closeby and a shopping mall with a food court about a five-minute walk. If you book a tour the hostel is in the pickup zone so the van can be arranged to pick you up.

Highly impressed with my stay at The Dorm Hostel as a solo traveler. This hostel meets every need! Content: It praises the cleanliness, superb location (convenient for attractions/transport), the friendly and helpful staff (excellent service), and the great amenities (comfortable beds, large lockers, nice common areas). Conclusion: Highly recommend it for solo travelers looking for great value, cleanliness, and a good atmosphere. Will definitely come back!

Good clean and neat all facilities available I stayed at this hostel for four days, and I really liked it a lot. The hostel is very clean, neat, and well-maintained. It offers many facilities, which made the stay comfortable. For hot water, they have a water dispenser that provides both hot and cold water. Tea, coffee, and sugar are also available for guests. Overall, almost all necessary facilities are provided. The only thing missing was a toaster, but everything else was very good. The hostel is clean, the environment is pleasant, and it is located close to the main road. It is also very near to the airport—you can even walk to the airport. I personally walked to the airport and back, and it was very convenient. I really liked the place, the atmosphere is clean and friendly, and I would highly recommend this hostel to others. If you are looking for a place to stay, I recommend staying here. I rented one bed, staying two days first and then another two days.

Exceptional stay,will definitely return again and again. Fantastic drinks,great atmosphere to sit,and sip cocktails.

The hostel was okay overall—nothing special, nothing terrible. The location was convenient, close to public transport and some restaurants. The dorm room was basic but clean enough, though the beds were a bit hard and the room felt cramped. The shared bathroom was acceptable but sometimes messy during peak hours. Staff were friendly but not particularly helpful. Breakfast was simple—just toast and coffee. Wi-Fi worked fine in common areas but was weak in the rooms. For the price, it's fair if you just need a place to sleep. Not a bad choice for budget travelers, but don't expect too much.

Although it's far from the airport, it's close to Patong Beach and there are other street areas to enjoy. You can get to a bus stop near this hostel for about 100 baht from the airport bus. There's also Central Shopping Mall, but it was out of budget for my solo trip.

This is my second time staying here and everything was perfect. The service was great, the place was clean, and the bed was super comfortable. Plus, breakfast is included. I would definitely come back again without a doubt.
