Wyndham Istanbul Old City

Laleli Istanbul|0.35km from Anatolia Restaurant
We stayed there last week of August 22 and encountered a number of issues. Firstly, our room wasn't ready the first night and we were given to separate rooms which split our family up. I wasn't happy about this but we had no choice. What was alarming that during our stay, I observed atleast 5 other families having similar issue as you can't help not noticing people complaining when you walk past reception. I think this is a scam by the hotel as they encourage the booking, take the money then the first night you not in the room you paid for. Also the photos on booking.com is a complete lie. The room we stayed in did not look anything like what was portrayed on the site. We booked two double beds but one of them is a sofa bed! Not comfortable and we did raise this but hotel couldn't care less. They couldn't offer us another room so we had no choice to accept it. Moving on, the stay itself was pleasant enough. Breakfast was decent (but orange juice is cordial!), swimming pools sauna steam rooms were great. There is also a huge jacuzzi bath which was nice. Hotel is located 10 mins walk to grand bazaar and 5 mins walk to nearest tram. Cleanliness is poor. I would rate 2 out of 5. Cleaner was in and out like a flash. Didn't do floor etc. I looked under bed and dust has been collecting for months and not cleaned. Overall ok hotel but expensive for the service we encountered. Would I return? Probably not unless hotel can improve its cleanliness and customer service. I should have been offered some sort of refund for the first night and the sofa bed.

It is a central hotel, very well located in front of the tramway station that connects the most important monuments, 5 minutes from the metro station M2 that brings you back to Taksim, The rooms are modest but the breakfast varied in the form of a buffet served in a room with a view of the Bosphore , you have a medium-quality WiFi , hotel is very interesting for family for a stay course , I personally spent 3 nights in the neck of a circuit .

Stayed in hotel for couple of days to visit Istanbul, all staff was extremely nice and communicative. They we open for any kind of questions and responded in english. Room that we had was really nice, beds were comfortable, layout of the room was great so it felt quite spacious. Bathroom was also quite big.

The location is convenient enough: transport is nearby, you can walk to many sights. Next to the exchangers, a small shop with food. Staff is partially welcome, English is not very spoken. Not changed clothes, towels, but for some reason the rooms come every day. Apparently throw garbage, never understood) From the biggest downsides noise. The window was always open (otherwise it was dusty) and was noisy because of the street, very loud neighbors. From the room didn't wait for something special, so it was not confused that small and twisted. I read about breakfast reviews and therefore was ready too, that is not a very big choice, but it is really small and I don't see the point to take such breakfast for sandwiches. I ate somewhere in the cafe and restaurants, but it is more convenient to have breakfast in the hotel before leaving. It is clear that I went not to sleep and eat, but it is important for rest before a whole day of walking.

The Gold Hotel is in the center of Istanbul. It was surprised that the hotel has only three stars. The hotel corresponds to at least four or higher. Clean, beautiful, quiet. Free coffee and water from the cooler all day. polite staff. Delicious breakfast (swedish table with a large range), full set of towels. All wonderful. We had a three-bedroom, small but the bathroom (shower) was quite spacious and comfortable.
