The indigo hotel is as stylish as ever. When we visited, the hotel entrance, lobby and rooftop bar all had Barbie-themed decorations. I like the rooftop bar very much. Although it is not very high-rise, it feels very good because of the open air and the large screen set up in the hotel. My family and I booked a total of four rooms. Each room has a slightly different layout and decoration. I really appreciate the small bag placed on the sink to take the soap that guests have opened and used back home. It is a very thoughtful detail that makes me happy. The soap used can be taken away and used again, no waste! In addition, you can freely choose the pillows in the room. They put the optional pillow introduction paper beside the bed. Other hotels have to call and ask to know if there are other pillow options. Indigo adds a lot of points here!

Because of the yellow duck, I stayed at the Hanshen Hotel in Kaohsiung. As soon as I entered the hotel, I was greeted by the scent of flowers and the fragrance was everywhere. For this family trip, the two adults and one child were arranged in a side room on the high floor. The night city view was beautiful. The room was clean and very comfortable to sleep on! The housekeeping staff you meet in the corridor will also smile and say hello, which makes you feel friendly. The welcome fruit in the room is great!

It's a very nice hotel as the location is just next to a pub bar with a live band. As a visitor in this city, it's a nice way to spend the night. Plus it's a few minutes away from the train station. Book the hotel for a last-minute travel. Stayed in this hotel for 8 days. I think for the price the hotel is clean. Here are some breakdowns: Room: The room and the hotel are a little dated, but its acceptable. I think it will work for backpakers. The vent in my room came off a little. The maintenance team should pay attention to things like this. The room I booked does not have a window. Luckily, I'm not in the room most of the time. Recommendation to people if you are interested in this hotel, make sure to book the room with a window. Also, the room I stayed in is small. You need to close up you luggage otherwise you won't have space to walk. Cleanses: The cleanese is within acceptable range for a hotel like this. However, I think the carpet in the room is old and dirty. Management should really consider replacing the carpets. A newer carper can bring the cleanness of the room up one level. The room also has some minor mildew smell when you enter the room. In fact, some parts of the hotel also have minor mildew smells. Management should really figure out how to remove the mildew smell. The mildew smell goes a way if you increase the AC, but then the room becomes too cold. The mildew smell is also reported by some of the reviews. Comfortable: The mattress and pillow are ok. Each bed comes with 2 pillows instead of 4. I have decent sleep on it. Amenities: The hotel comes with two bottles of water everyday. House keeping will provide it daily if you have house keeping. Hotel provides reusable sleepers for bathroom and for use in the room. These are not disposable sleepers. They are reusable. They look very old school and I'm not sure how clean they are. So, I dont use them. I understand its a budget hotel, but it would be really great if they provided disposable sleepers. Also, there is no hand soap in the bathroom. You would think that after the pandemic, washing hand should become an important part of life but hand soap is not provided. I went to one of the local shops here to buy myself a bottle of hand soap. The shower drain is also a little clogged. There is a small poddle of water while showering. I read similar issues in other reviews. Breakfast: The breakfast is ok for the price of the room. Some of the reviews said that the breakfast was better before. Honestly, with inflation, all cost have gone up. I think the selection of breakfast is good for the price of hotel. I think overall the hotel is ok. If you are traveling alone and are under a budget, I think this hotel can be one of the choices.

Hotel staff were very friendly and check in was a breeze. We managed to get two rooms side by side which is a plus point. Every floor has a water dispenser which is very useful if we need hot water. There is a laundry room on the third floor with free washing powder to use. Breakfast buffet on the second floor was really great, my family loves the variety of the food provided and everyday some of the items will be changed too. Hotel is located in between Kaohsiung station and Formosa Boulevard station. Currently there are renovation going on at Kaohsiung station which cause a slight detour if we were to walk over there. Walking time are both around 10mins. Overall we are really satisfied with the stay.
