The indigo hotel is as stylish as ever. When we visited, the hotel entrance, lobby and rooftop bar all had Barbie-themed decorations. I like the rooftop bar very much. Because of the yellow duck, I stayed at the Hanshen Hotel in Kaohsiung. As soon as I entered the hotel, I was greeted by the scent of flowers and the fragrance was everywhere. For this family trip, the two adults and one child were arranged in a side room on the high floor. The night city view was beautiful. The room was clean and very comfortable to sleep on! A great location with great service. You're right next door to Kaohsiung Pier 2. The rooms may not have windows, much like ours didn't. If they do have windows, you can't open them. They're not particularly spacious in this hotel but you are very close by to numerous restaurants and cafes too, so it works out well. At time we could hear noises from the corridor so be weary of that. Busses are nearby but the times don't always align with google maps. Was a decent place, adequately priced and suitable for the time we had. But if we go back, we'll probably try for a more spacious place with a view! Otherwise for the cheap and cheerful option, this might be a great way to go!

However, I think the carpet in the room is old and dirty. Management should really consider replacing the carpets. A newer carper can bring the cleanness of the room up one level. The room also has some minor mildew smell when you enter the room. In fact, some parts of the hotel also have minor mildew smells. Management should really figure out how to remove the mildew smell. The mildew smell goes a way if you increase the AC, but then the room becomes too cold. The mildew smell is also reported by some of the reviews. Comfortable: The mattress and pillow are ok. Each bed comes with 2 pillows instead of 4. I have decent sleep on it. Amenities: The hotel comes with two bottles of water everyday. House keeping will provide it daily if you have house keeping. Hotel provides reusable sleepers for bathroom and for use in the room. These are not disposable sleepers. They are reusable. They look very old school and I'm not sure how clean they are. So, I dont use them. I understand its a budget hotel, but it would be really great if they provided disposable sleepers. Also, there is no hand soap in the bathroom. You would think that after the pandemic, washing hand should become an important part of life but hand soap is not provided. I went to one of the local shops here to buy myself a bottle of hand soap. The shower drain is also a little clogged. There is a small poddle of water while showering. I read similar issues in other reviews. Breakfast: The breakfast is ok for the price of the room. Some of the reviews said that the breakfast was better before. Honestly, with inflation, all cost have gone up. I think the selection of breakfast is good for the price of hotel. I think overall the hotel is ok. If you are traveling alone and are under a budget, I think this hotel can be one of the choices.

I am visiting my mom in Taiwan and decided to spend a couple of nights in Kaohsiung. I will be quite honest. I didn't have a lot of expectations staying at a Holiday Inn Express. But the stay exceeded my expectations. I took the MRT and the station is less than 5 minutes walk to the hotel. The check in process was smooth. I was offered a drink (I picked soda!) at check in for being a Platinum member. A very nice gesture. My room is small, but most rooms in Asia seem small to me coming from the US. It has a tiny view of the river and the park. You can tell the hotel is pretty new. I work a lot in my room wherever I am traveling in the world. This modern room provides all the necessary electric outlets for me to plug whatever I need in. This is important to me as well as good working wifi, which this property provides. Oh! They also gave me a basket of snacks and drinks! That was a very pleasant surprise! The breakfast selection is somewhat limited but sufficient whether you are into ********* or Western breakfast. I don't travel to Taiwan often, so whenever I can have ********* breakfast, that's what I eat! They even have a noodle station, but unlike most other Asian hotels I stayed at, it is a self-serve Noodle station. I don't trust myself enough to make one. I wonder if it is possible for the hotel to allocate a staff person to work the station. The service at the breakfast buffet was great! They offered to make me drinks. I took the opportunity to order some iced latte. I almost gave this place a 5-star, but there are a couple of things needed work: 1) I could never get the shower head aligned to face me directly while standing in the middle of the shower. 2) The water pressure in the sink is really low when it is on cold. If I turned it away from cold, the pressure is fine. But I don't always want warm or hot water. 3) This one is more of a personal suggestion. I wish this place had a gym/workout room. That's another thing I look for when I travel. Not sure if there is anything they can do. But just thought I would throw it out there. I read some unnecessary harsh reviews (like one earlier where the worker had trouble finding their reservation), but my experience tells me the staff tries their best to make your stay enjoyable. I am sorry I couldn't quite give this hotel a 5-star, but I will definitely stay here again in the future when I am in Kaohsiung!

因為入境居家防疫而連續住了15晚，對賀喔文旅的服務以及居家品質真的給他們大讚。三餐提供的美食都是相對知名的店家，衛生講究而且菜色多變化，中西式都有。給的份量適中，吃不飽的話，自行點Uber加菜也可以。房間冷氣可以調整溫度，室內也有窗戶，可以稍微打開讓空氣流通。室內燈光足夠，以居家辦公或看電視的光線我覺得是足夠的。飯店有提供洗衣粉，礦泉水，不足可以向飯店索取。浴室有抽風除濕機，對於曬衣服晾乾有幫助。房間裡的被單、浴室地毯、枕頭套等想要更換新的也可以。電視第四台每個頻道都有，讓我窩在裡面的時間不無聊。網路算不錯，但一旦多人同時使用時，網路還是會變慢。但我覺得再用自己的網路就好。總體來說這間賀喔文旅住宿含三餐的價格很親民，人很親切服務也很周到，會讓你疫情過後有機會再來旅遊時會想住的。 大推~
