Best Hotels in Krattigen

The scenery outside the window is excellent! Very beautiful environment, very comfortable and refreshing. There are free parking spaces and it is easy to find. Although it is a bit into the mountains, the scenery along the drive is very beautiful. The disadvantage is that it is really not clean, very old, and the bed is sunken, the pillows are also flat, not sleeping well... but it is worth it with this beautiful view.

Spiez is a pretty town and this is a pretty hotel. We travelled as a family and had two adjacent rooms. Our purpose was to take part in the triathlon in Thun and it’s very hard to get hotel rooms so we were lucky and had the last two rooms, facing the street rather than the lake, but we could go to the roof terrace to relax and enjoy the view. It was quiet and comfortable, the food was very good (the owners are Italian and Swedish) and the staff are very friendly.

The Belvedere Strandhotel in Spiez was a great hotel for me and my husband during our time in the Interlaken region. Upon arrival, the hotel kindly sent a shuttle to pick us up at the train station, a true perk when you travel with luggage (the hotel is a 10 min walk from the train station). We loved the pool/spa areas, which were great for relaxing after a long day of hiking/tourism. The spa overlooks the lake and we even sat in the sauna while it rained to take in more of the view. The staff was friendly but there was a bit of a language barrier. We would have given the hotel 5 stars but the room was terribly hot and opening the windows would attract bugs (plus it didn't really help cool down the room). Otherwise, the room was clean, comfortable, and spacious.

This review was written by my 8-year old daughter: About this hotel: It is a family hotel. If you are a kid, the first thing they are going to do is give you a teddy bear. It has a swimming pool and a gym. The swimming pool is really cool and it has a small waterfall built into a rock. The gym is quite big itself but we didn't go there. It has a nice view and a nice hotel restaurant. The food is really good and they have a really great breakfast. You order the main food and you get to choose the side dishes from a breakfast bar. For the main food, I picked omelet - it is quite yummy but it was not salty enough. For the side dishes, I picked cereal, kiwi and juice. They were all really yummy and sweet. You should go to Dorint. I give this hotel a five star review. -- From the parents' side a few additional notes: On the negative side - There is no AC in the apartment, so while this may not matter in the summer, it was quite warm during our visit (30-35C). It cools off nicely in the evening, but there are no screens on the window, so you'll likely end up with a few moths or other bugs in the room if you leave the windows open. On the positive side, they really cater well to families - from the teddy bear at check-in to a little board game on the back of the kids menu, to the small playground area (which seemed to be good for 4-6 year olds). I have nothing but positive words about our stay at the Strandhotel Seeblick. Our stay in the Loft House was exactly what we were looking for and needed for our family of 5. The hotel was very kind and accommodating when we explained we had 2 adults and 3 children, and they made up the sofa bed for us prior to arrival, and the sofa bed was suitable for our 12y and 9y boys. We decided to bring an air mattress in our luggage for the 3rd child. There was more than enough room in the Loft House for us and all our luggage. The view of the lake from the balcony was lovely! It was quite warm during our stay, but the windows and sliding door allowed for good airflow, and there was an oscillating fan for us to use as well. The bed was very comfortable for us. The room was clean upon arrival, and had daily cleaning (and restocking of Nespresso/tea supplies). The restaurant is delicious, we made a reservation in the morning for dinner that evening. Faulensee is a charming village, and I would be thrilled to stay at this hotel again!

After many years we came back to the Jugi at Tuner Lake. The contact was quickly made and the answers came in advance quickly. We were warmly welcomed and the team made a effort to make us feel well. Although it was a little fresh in the jugi (there is no heating), but we knew that already. The two dinners (night and breakfast) were very generously tabled as a buffet. Only that put through the night rest we wished tonight. Because in Stübli was played very long and noisy. But otherwise I can recommend this jugi for Romatics/Dreamers, but also as a starting point for the Bernian Oberland.
