The owners were super nice and very helpful, providing great recommendations for places to see and travel directions. The room itself was very unique, featuring a cute enclosed sunroom on top of a nice balcony, offering a great view of the ocean. The location is very convenient, near bus stops. The owner even helped take our luggage down to the bus station without us even asking! The free breakfast was great and healthy. I would definitely stay here again if I travel to the area and highly recommend it.

After coming back from Taiwan, I suddenly realized I hadn’t posted any photos or written a review about the adorable wooden cabin our family stayed in at Jiufen. Everyone in my family loved this place so much that I had to jot everything down now that I finally have some free time.
Most people I know usually stay in Taipei longer and just make a day trip to Jiufen without spending the night. As for me—I’ve lived in Hong Kong for quite a while, so compared to Hong Kong, Taipei didn’t leave much of an impression on me in terms of sights or food. The only thing that truly made me want to visit Taiwan was Jiufen — a sparkling little gem between the mountains and the sea 🏮🌿🌊
Jiufen feels like a dreamy fairytale village with its winding narrow alleys, steep stone stairways, and the warm glow of red lanterns everywhere. Walking around felt like stepping into another world, almost like a scene from a manga — especially for anyone who’s watched Spirited Away.

⭐🛖 Review of the wooden cabin called Twilight Forest in Jiufen
Just a 5-minute walk from the Old town, this wooden cabin brings together the warm glow of wood and the peaceful feeling of retreating into nature. It has a unique A-frame design, and at night, when the lights turn on, the whole place becomes incredibly cozy — the golden light shining through the windows and the plants around it create a “hideaway from the world” kind of vibe.
Inside, the space is open, airy, and tastefully decorated in a rustic style. There’s a small terrace with a swing chair hanging straight from the ceiling — sitting there at night, listening to insects and the wind rustling through the leaves, feels genuinely healing 🙃.
🛁🌿 Highlight: The glass-walled bathroom in the garden
This is the standout feature of the cabin. The bathtub is large and comfortable, placed right next to a 180° glass wall looking directly into a lush green garden. Natural daylight pours in, making your daytime bath feel like an outdoor spa surrounded by plants. (There’s also a roller blind if you need privacy)
Jiufen is a tiny village perched on a mountain, and it doesn’t have many hotels that offer spacious, comfortable accommodations. That’s why I was so happy to find this wooden cabin. Our family had the most wonderful two-night stay here.
If I ever return to Taipei, I would definitely book this place again ❤️

Guest UserIt's a standard double bed room, quite spacious and comfortable, I like our own shower room more (privacy and cleanliness) as compared to the bathing and onsen facilities on the 17th floor.
It takes 7-10 minutes walking distance to the nearby metro stations which is acceptable. The hotel has 2 restaurants but we prefer dining out.
The hotel does not have fitness room/gym . Instead I paid NT$100 to go to the nearby fitness centre. It's not that convenient for the hotel guests. Should consider setting up its own fitness room, my humble opinion.

Nice place in a good location, very clean and quiet.
The QR code room key made me paranoid about accidentally locking my phone in the room, but it's nice being able to explore without carrying an extra key around

I’ve stayed at Hotel Cham Cham Taipei a couple of times and have always had a pleasant experience. This time we stayed in a Discovery Double Room on the 19th floor. The complimentary drinks and snacks were a nice little bonus, and I especially loved the colourful CHAM letter cushions on the bed — they were cute, added some personality to the room, and were actually quite comfortable and convenient to use.
The hotel always seems to be very popular. Each time I’ve stayed here, there have been plenty of guests around and the check-in area can get quite busy. Overall, it’s a lively, modern hotel that I’ve been happy to return to.

The room was huge, the facilities were great, and the staff were friendly. The location was very convenient, within walking distance and very close to the LRT, while the environment was quiet and peaceful. There were also small handicraft activities and a mini theatre available in the basement. I did not have the chance to visit the public hot spring, but the private hot spring included in the room was already more than sufficient.
I also loved the AI device for playing music and the smart home control panel for the lights and air-conditioning, which made everything very easy to manage. The room was clean and well maintained, and the overall stay felt very comfortable and relaxing.
Overall, it was a very enjoyable stay with great facilities and thoughtful in-room features. The view was around 7/10 — not particularly spectacular as I stayed on a lower floor, but still decent as it felt open and unobstructed. I especially loved the hot spring, walk-in wardrobe, and dressing table with the large mirror.
It was also very suitable for a solo trip — spacious, peaceful, and easy to enjoy at my own pace. Nonetheless, it is definitely suitable for all types of travellers.
(My family actually commented that it was too big for 1 person, but I was more than happy with it.)
Suggestion: It would be great to have a smart TV with YouTube or other streaming options, rather than only local channels.
Feedback: The smart control system panel also did not seem to sync properly with the AI control, as it did not respond after commands were given.

放鬆去旅行
1. This was my third stay here. This time I was assigned an economy double room on the first floor. The bathroom had a bathtub but no shower curtain, so water would splash out when showering, making it slippery. I suggest the hotel install a shower curtain to prevent this.
2. Since my room was on the first floor next to the hallway, it was very convenient to get to the lounge in the back. However, if people were talking and laughing in the lounge at night, it would disturb those trying to sleep in nearby rooms. I suggest the hotel install a glass sliding door or an automatic door at the entrance to the lounge hallway to block out noise.
3. The lounge facilities are excellent. There's a coffee machine, ice cream, biscuit tea bags, a microwave, and an oven. In the mornings, there are also light breakfast breads, which is a great touch.
4. Nearby, there's a FamilyMart and 7-Eleven, a self-service laundry, breakfast shops, and several restaurants for dining options.

sam626Overall, a great experience. The room was very spacious, and the water pressure and temperature in the bathroom were perfectly fine. (Just a heads-up: since the bathroom is open-plan, if the air conditioning is set very high/cold, you might feel a draft.) The toilet and shower are separate, which is convenient for simultaneous use. They provide universal power outlets everywhere, so no need to worry about adapters, and there are plenty of them in every spot and corner. It's very close to both the MRT Yellow Line and the Airport MRT; you just need to cross one street after exiting the station. However, it can get a bit noisy when the MRT passes by, which might be something to consider if you're a light sleeper.

Guest UserThis hotel is really great, I love it. I've been staying here for 10 days and I haven't found anything bad about it. It's excellent, I'll definitely come back next time. The staff's service attitude is also very good, and it's very clean and hygienic. The toilet doesn't smell, and the bathroom is also spacious, clean, and trendy. The bathtub is very new with no rust spots.

The reception staff was very friendly. I didn't have dinner there. The equipment was a bit old. Breakfast was available the next day, but it was simple. There was nothing special to order. I had thick slices, boiled eggs, and tomatoes that day. The air was pretty good.
