Excellent location, we were part of a shearing coach party. The rooms were beautiful, we overlooked the lake. Breakfast was buffet style with plenty of options and a lot of different cakes and pastries as well as cereals, eggs etc. Dinner was authentic home made pastas to start with. Staff were very hardworking, helpful, friendly and cheerful.

Hotel Molveno is the perfect location if you want pristine views of the surrounding mountains and the lake itself. It’s around 1 mile from the town centre, but the path around the lake makes it easily accessible-also suitable for prams. The hotel is rated as a 3 star but in all fairness it could easily be a 4 star hotel- you’ll be hard pressed to find better views from a restaurant worldwide or the room for that matter. We stayed with our 1 year old and everything and everyone were so friendly and accommodating to our needs- there are also numerous baby seats at breakfast and dinner, as well as menu choices suitable for a young child, whether this be smaller versions of the evening menu or dishes such as pasta with Ragu sauce. We were given room 40 and it must be the room with the best views in the whole building, as you have mountain and lake views out of all 3 windows. The owners go that extra mile for you which is everything you need when travelling with a child. Bike rental was free from the hotel and you can get information on local trails for hiking. I would definitely recommend staying in this hotel if staying in Molveno both for the views and how helpful the owners and staff are- every staff member goes above and beyond their duties for you and always with a smile.

This was our base for a Shearings Leisure holiday to see the Little Trains of the Dolomites. The claims about the beauty of the area are well founded. The Lake was not as clear as mentioned but the view of the village (1/2 mile away) and the mountains in the morning sun is unforgettable. There is a free local bus service. Apparently, the rooms do vary. Ours lacked tea/coffee making facilities, and a chair (on which to put my clothes at the end of the day). But it was comfortable, with an excellent bathroom, although sound proofing is not good. The breakfasts are well up to standard and served downstairs behind the bar area. The dining room is large and comfortable. The staff, mainly Eliza, Rebecca and Giovanni are very helpful. The food is based on the South Tyrol cuisine with no compromise to visitor's tastes. There was a revolt of being served 'pink' pork. To get to the two major towns (Bolzano and Trento) nearby takes well over an hour due to the access road being very narrow and winding in constant hair-pin bends.

If you want to experience a fairytale like encounter you must visit this place. Our stay at the hotel was absolutely fantastic. Amazing views, a marvellous place with so many hidden treasures. The food is absolutely excellent, we had the opportunity to taste some dishes from the region, and many more italian dishes with a twist, sooooo delicious. The staff are a joy to interact with. The service is wonderful. We were sad to leave …

Oh my goodness, where to start! I was completely taken aback by how stunning the views were, especially from my room balcony (thank you to whoever allocated me that room because it was top floor, middle balcony - perfect for the views!) but to be honest, there is so much to see that you can stare at the lake and mountains at any time of day from anywhere outside the hotel. Service - superb, I couldn't have asked for more attentive staff. Food - I am not a fussy eater so for me, everything was amazing. But it might be worth considering for others (with kids perhaps) that there is a limited choice at dinner (you are handed a menu the day before to choose your meal the following day and they are generally meat options. One night, you didn't have a choice and it was a 4-course set menu dinner. As mentioned, I really enjoyed eating new dishes and not really knowing what I was getting when I ordered it but I can imagine others might not enjoy that. In terms of breakfast, the eggs were amazing (recipe please?) - lots of pastries, cold meats, granola, yoghurts, breads. Location - I've already covered how amazing the view is but there's also SO much to do nearby. The walk into Molveno is around 10-15 minutes along the lake and once there, you can walk/cycle around the lake (10km), paddle board, kayak, hire boats, mini golf... the list goes on. A true hidden gem of a hotel and I felt so lucky to have stumbled upon it. I will most certainly be back one day.

Just arrived home after a week staying in this beautiful lake side hotel. The view was amazing from our room and all aspects of the hotel. The owners and staff were all very friendly and helpful and the food was great. Would reccomend to anyone that likes walking, biking and nature as its not over crowded like some other Italian lake's.

After a long day of travel from the US, we arrived at the beautiful hotel Molveno for a 2 night stay. The property was gorgeous and the view from the room was spectacular! The location was perfect, quiet and beautiful path to walk into centere. The owners and staff were great. They were super helpful with mountain bike suggestions and information. Wish we could have stayed longer!
