East Maitland Executive Apartments

East Maitland|4.49km from James Street Reserve Morpeth
Arrived early prior to check in time, and sat outside in the rain emailing asking if I could at least put my luggage somewhere. I was told that the cleaners hadn’t finished yet, except I had been sitting outside watching the cleaners mucking about downstairs for 2 hours. I finally got access at the time of their check in. No effort was made to provide any access or place to put my luggage out of the rain. The site is totally unmanned and doesn’t even have a foyer you can sit in to wait. Booked apartment for 3 weeks and needed to return home as my father passed away suddenly, and they refused to refund the remainder of my stay which was 19 days of accomodation. I emailed to advise that I may have left the aircon on in my rush out, and didn’t want them to have to pay for electricity for no reason. They then re rented the room so ended up getting twice the room rates for the period. That’s theft. So I attempted to save them costs on electricity, whilst they stole 19 days of accomodation, ($2945) AND are rented the room. So they got $5890 for customers paying twice for the room, even though it was exceptional circumstances for the departure which as indicated on their T&C should have been refunded. Left my shaving mirror behind and emailed to advise and ask to have it returned (I would have paid even though they just claimed 19 days room rates unused and re booked the room) they never even responded to me about this. I know it was left behind because it sticks to the shower wall and I know I forgot to get it. So now I need to buy a new mirror. The site is self was fine. The service was non existent and they didn’t care I had to sit in the rain waiting. They had no sympathy or good will in refunding the unused 19 days (almost a month) of unused rental accomodation, nor did they do the right thing in replying to my lost items request, let alone returning it. Site management is off site, so they didn’t really care about anything. Unless new management is in place I would never ever go there again due the uncaring and unsupportive behaviours they operate with.

The Bronte Boutique Hotel

Please note that the information of this hotel is wrong and children are not allowed in the hotel. We booked a large suite with bathtub but probably due to glass coffee tables and fragile items, children were not allowed to stay in a room with bathtub when we checked in, changed to a normal room and did not allow us to take our children to enjoy the breakfast buffet. Because it is in the peak tourist season, if there is no place to live on the day of check-out, so I am very accepting. Trip.com later refunded 190rmb as compensation. I hope to update the hotel information as soon as possible and don't cause inconvenience to subsequent travelers.
Hunter Morpeth Motel & Villas

We travelled to NSW from WA for a wedding in October 2023 & stayed at the Hunter Oasis. We loved it. The 2 bedroom apartment we stayed in was immaculately clean, the staff were lovely & very helpful. We didn't use the pool as it was still a bit cold but will be returning again in March & will hopefully be able to use it then. There was a bird sitting on eggs right near the outdoor fitness equipment & the swooping made for good entertainment. Would love to see some kind of play equipment for kids installed as there is plenty of space & would make this great location even more family friendly!
