Concierge: We emailed the hotel weeks in advance of our stay to assist with bookings. Weeks would pass before they would respond, and multiple follow up emails were required to get a response. They did successfully book one 3 Michelin star restaurant to which we owe them significant credit. However, when we arrived and asked basic requests such as where to find restaurants or stores, the concierge was usually very short and had no suggestions. We were better off consulting Google maps. And this for a 5 star concierge service? In addition, the English skills of many of the concierge staff were extremely limited. While I know some Japanese, it should not be required at a hotel of this calibre. In fact, when visiting Japan, a 5 star hotel should have fluent English speakers for most front facing staff. Hotel Condition: The hotel has significant and noticeable wear and tear. We were in a Grand Deluxe Suite and when I arrived, a man was literally gluing on a piece of the door that had torn off. The woodwork throughout the suite was heavily scratched and dented including tables. The carpet was worn thin, and the sofa's velvet exterior was worn. In any event, for a hotel suite whose copay was $500+ per night, this was disappointing. Check out Process: The check out process was extremely troubling and disappointing. We asked for a Butler to assist with bags multiple times, and even after 45 minutes they did not come up to our room to collect our bags. This resulted in us having to drag our bags down to the lobby ourselves, as we were rushing for a Shinkansen train. Normally, this would have been fine, but we had a lot of luggage. The significantly wait time for luggage assistance is not characteristic of a St. Regis. Hidden Taxes and No Final Folio Provided: The hotel has some hidden taxes associated with rooms that have copays for upgrades. While we expected to pay 50,000 yen per night + about 37,000 yen in total taxes (about 5600 yen per night in tax), we did not expect too many additional taxes. Yet there was another 6500 or so taxes per night in taxes we were assessed. Even after numerous attempts, the hotel never sent a final folio nor explained the charges which is all I asked. General Impressions: The hotel seems poorly managed with a ”choatic” vibe in which there is not only no personalized guests are vying for the attention for concierge staff who are stretched too thin with minimal English skills. While I understand this is a busy time for the hotel, the hotel should not be having any difficulty meeting basic demands of elite members even when they are at capacity. The hotel felt more like a 3-4 star hotel than a St. Regis. Among St. Regis hotels, this one was a major disappointment.

The hotel stipulates that the check-out time for single rooms is 10 o'clock. There was no special instruction when checking in. When I returned to the hotel at 11 o'clock, I found that all my luggage was missing. The hotel took it to the front desk. They had my phone number, but they did not call or get my consent. He just took my luggage out of the room, which was quite disrespectful to the guests. This kind of hotel management and service attitude should not be recommended. When I complained to the manager, I just kept apologizing and didn't think it was serious. I didn't argue with him because I was in a hurry to go back to my country. Just don't stay there next time. I no longer trust the hotels recommended by Ctrip.

Ive stayed here before and again the stay was warm and I was well looked after to the usual high Japanese standards! One non Japanese reception staff member did make a mistake by telling me I was allowed to use the onsen. I have tattoo’s and I know it’s not allowed, so i questioned it and he informed me it was fine. Luckily I did not use the onsen as I was later told his information was incorrect.

I decided to book this hotel because I was attracted by its view of Osaka Castle. I didn't know when I made the reservation that this was a new hotel that would only open on 1/5/2024. I booked a one-night stay on 18/5. Since it was my girlfriend's anniversary, I contacted the hotel's reservation team through the hotel's contact information on trip.com and asked them to prepare a bouquet of flowers to surprise my girlfriend. The hotel arranged this request at the time I wanted and was very professional. In terms of transportation, although the hotel is close to Tenmanqiao Station, it takes more than 10 minutes to walk to get there. This is relatively inconvenient. It is recommended to take a taxi with your luggage, which will be more comfortable and convenient. In terms of overall service attitude, the staff are very friendly and will proactively say hello and ask if they need help. The staff at check-in is very friendly. Although his English is not very good, he will carefully explain the facilities and usage hours. Thank you for his service. However, the female staff at check-out was relatively indifferent, which made the whole trip feel a bit bad at the end. It may be a new hotel relationship, I hope the hotel will make better progress.

First of all, this hotel is not as close to the subway as the merchants have told for nearly six minutes on foot. It is purely a lie. Kyungbashi Station is 1.2 km away and walks without a word. Then this hotel is purely self-help. There is no staff to call. The voice operation is very unpleasant. How much time do you have to clean the service? If you need to pay 1000 yen, once the toiletries and paper towels are used up, there is no need to continue. The bath towels are not replaced by the ones. We have a family of three for the towel and Ctrip. They can't find anyone. Although they had clean towels and paper towels the day before they left, my mood is still very bad. To tell the truth, where are the praises coming from!

The hotel location is just near-by Osaka park, very convenient for the visit to famous Osaka Castle. Our room is at high floor with good view to Osaka Castle. Our family enjoy a wonderful dinner at Keyaki restaurant (at 18F of this hotel), good food and comfortable environment.

I’ve never been a believer of the self-check in process, and that’s what they do here. It was smooth though. Overall, location is next to Osaka castle. This is great. Close to the station as well. However, I will not stay here again. The AC is only a fan that blows whatever the building’s temperature is set at. Even though it is still warm outside, the buildings AC is set to heating. This made for an unpleasant evening. I kept the fan off the rest of the time, but it still remained quite warm. The rest of the stay was fine. No complaints other than the AC setting.
