Hotels near Kyoganji in Osaka

The location is great for catching the train. The hotel is super close to some markets stalls (kinetsu line station) selling various food items and their fruits were cheap and good quality so I highly recommend you visit there. The Korea Town is also a 5 minute straightforward walk from the hotel but I do find that the shops are usually shut early (like before 6pm). At night, the area is super quiet and difficult to find places for dinner, at 8pm most restaurants are shut. There’s a small shrine nearby and we were able to watch the local matsuri and enjoy the food and culture! The front desk have many staffs that are fluent in different languages! Mandarin, English, Korean, Japanese and more! The hotel also has a seating area outside if you like some fresh air! Hotel also has a scale for weighing your suitcases! You can deposit your valuables with the front desk and they store it in a safe! Two of us had booked in and we did receive two rooms cards which is handy. The rooms are average size; you are able to open two large-size suitcases fully and can walk around them. There’s not much table area to put your stuff on top but not a big deal for us. Rooms are cleaned daily and bins are taking out etc.

Hotel is stone throw from two of the major POA, Kuroman market and Dotonbori, and Kintetsu-Nippombashi Station where one can escape the weather element anf shop till Osaka Namba station....The hotel has everything you need and the packet Kopi aka Coffee is good. The hotel provide free umbrella too in case there is rain

I've stayed at hostels before, and had a great experience till now. It's a shame to say I cancelled my stay at this hostel. Unfortunately, it fell below expectations and did not match the excellent reviews I saw online. We booked a non-smoking room, only for us to smell the smoke lingering in the room from the other guests. My father and mother, both very sensitive to the smell, had trouble sleeping and continually coughed throughout the night. And even though the hotel acknowledged this issue, they did nothing to solve it. Additionally, the room smelled like damp sweat. Even though we were supposed to be given a ”private” room, we only had a little partition separating us from the rest of the dormitory, making us feeling ill at ease when they admitted in their signs of common cases of theft in the hostel. Furthermore, their laundry facilities were absolutely terrible. We tried using the washing/drying machines, but after attempting 4 cycles of drying, the clothes were nearly as wet as when they went in. A staff member acknowledged this as an issue that needed to be fixed when I approached him, but was reluctant to do anything beyond saying he should propose for it to be put out of service so it could be fixed. We left two days in of our four night stay because the conditions grew to be unbearable. I left as soon as my family and I could find another place to stay. The staff apologized but did nothing about our negative experience. I would absolutely never recommend this hostel. There are far better places to stay in Osaka for a better price, better comfort, and better service.

This place is unreal! The place itself is ultra modern home away from home, it has THE comfiest beds ever and is super clean and the facilities are all so well decorated and keept so clean! The staff are what makes this hostel... they are next level helpful and are the kindest loveliest people i have ever met :) They made our stay so special and actually made our trip to not just Osaka but Japan! i would come back to japan just to come see these guys. I couldn’t reccommend this hostel more! Also it’s close to the station so can get to anywhere like Kyoto, Nara, Tokyo! AND they have an amazing bar menu! Exceptional service - the front desk helped me to arrange taxi to the airport and it was not easy because they were fully booked. The person tried many times and finally found a taxi for us, much to our relief. The front desk is trained to ask all the right questions, staying calm. They also helped to receive my transferred luggage from another hotel. All timely and accurately. It deserved a 6 star for such exceptional service. The hotel ambience has a calming effect as it is dark but lighted on the areas that you need to see. We have no problem even though some people commented on it. Great location Room size is comfortable and considered a fair size, in fact, slightly larger and well planned. Breakfast has a good spread. Think it is great to open at 6.30 am as it gives maximum time to have an early start. Highly recommended for couple and families.

The location is unbeatable, multiple convenience stores around, 7-10min walk to Dotonburi and various stations, lots of restaurants and quiet streets at night time. The hotel also has a cafeteria with free tea, water, melon soda, coca cola and other refreshments that are available 24/7. The room itself is simple but very comfortable and has everything you could need. Rooms are cleaned daily and amenities replenished too, even if you opt out of cleaning by sticking a ”Do not clean” magnet on the door, they then put everything in a bag and hang it on the handle. The staff is mostly professional, speak decent English and the check-in/out process was easy. Where it loses points is due to the following: On one of our big days out exploring, we came back to the hotel at around 8PM. The Front Lobby was filled with a big and disorganised Chinese group/family of 12-16 people who were scattered throughout the lobby. They did not all have a hotel key card, I know this because there was an employee by the escalator using his key on the elevator to send up them to their rooms. So my girlfriend and I got our keys out, got to the front of the other elevator and showed our cards as a way of gesturing if we could go up. The employee rejected us and we got the idea that we had to wait. Now I don't know about you, but I don't see why I need to wait for something that isn't my problem. Their lobby was littered and the tourists were being loud and screaming at eachother from across the room. We were not going to wait. Line them up in front of one elevator and use the other one for people who are entering and exiting, and if no one is entering and exiting, then let them use both elevators. Such unprofessionalism. We decided to leave and go for a walk and kill time at the local convienience store, but it definitely ruined our day and experience with the hotel. Another reason is I asked if they could make a restaurant reservation on my behalf, the bird cafe that I wanted to go to had a registration and booking process that was not friendly for tourists. It required me to write my Japanese Name for some reason, as well as phone number. The hotel said they could not make such reservations for me. I ended up walking in and was lucky it was a weekday and it wasn't as packed. Also be sure to check how many adults is listed on the room you plan to book, I didn't check properly and mine said 1 Adult, even though it fits 2 and the amenities were stocked for 2, this mistake of mine cost me 14,000yen (2000yen a day) because I had my girlfriend with me.

泊まるだけの目的で急遽利用しました。場所は鶴橋駅のすぐ近くですが、土地勘がなかったため、グーグルマップを利用しながら訪れましたが、しばし周辺をウロウロしました。そのくらい昔ながらの入り組んだ街並みだと思います。ただ、一回たどり着ければ、その後は駅から簡単にアクセスできると思います。部屋や建物はホテルというよりも、マンションといった感じでしょうか。まずチェックイン時の建物に入る際には、インターホンを押し、フロントの方にドアを開けてもらう必要があります。これは建物の椅子に座っていたお兄さんが教えてくれました。チェックイン後にどこかへ出かけて、再度ホテルに入る時には、フロント前に表示されているパスワードが必要になります。お風呂は部屋に付いているタイプもあるみたいですが、部屋にお風呂がない場合は、1Fの共同風呂を利用します。他の方が利用中の場合は、待つことになります。トイレはシャワートイレではありません。朝食は時間がなかったので近所のコンビニで調達しましたが、近所の韓国街では、朝から屋台のようなところでチヂミのようなものを焼いていたので、それらを利用するのもありなのかなと思います。

We have a pleasant stay with my son at Crystal hotel II.The room was clean but bit small and there’s no enough room for the luggage. Reception is nice but there’s a guy (staff) that is not accomodating. Overall , we love the place. Be back again.

Prime location. Located at Namba Station (Exit B21) with 2 way escalator. Came in from Kyoto and it was definitely easy to move the luggage on the escalators compared to carrying up the stairs. Nankai Railway also within a 6mins walk, also allow easy access to reach airport from hotel. Room is large for Japan's expectation. My family were quite shocked with the spacious room as our previous trips to Japan booked at the similar pricing only allow a portion of the room size. Breakfast is decent but 5 nights in, we got sick of the options. Only changes made to the mains (pasta/noodle). Others like takoyaki, is a staple since its japan. Hotel can get pretty crowded, so breakfast can queue up long line. Front desk is hard to communicate with, as per mentioned. I booked 4 rooms under my name for my group of 11 pax. In the noon when we reached from kyoto, the front desk lady (who speaks english) told us the bookings are confirmed but the rooms are not ready so we left our luggages with the hotel. We returned at night to 2 japanese guy whom speaks no english. When we tried to help after waiting for close to 15minutes, we were shush because they got confused of my booking (1 quad, 1 triple, 1 double, 1 twin room) Select Rooms

1. Ok Location - 25mins walk away to Namba shopping belt. In the hotel’s vicinity, there are plenty of restaurants and the nearest tube station Honmachi (Midosoji line) ~7mins walk away. Easy to get around. 2. Amenities and comfort of room - comfortable bed. Plenty of extras at the reception level. PJs and room slippers provided. 3. Cleanliness - light cleaning provided ie no change of bedsheets etc and no one to make your bed. I found dried blood stains on the bed that I could see underneath my white bedsheets. Major yucks. Overall, value for money for travellers on short stays and small luggage.
