After resuming my travel abroad, I visited Osaka again after five years. After looking at hotels for a long time, I chose New Otani, which I had stayed at five years ago. My impression at the time was very good. Location: Located in the northeast corner of Osaka Castle Park, it focuses on a quiet environment and is only a ten-minute walk from the lively Kyobashi Shopping Street. If you don’t plan to do a lot of shopping, this hotel’s location is still very good. Transportation: There are three nearby stations, all of which are basically within ten minutes’ walk. You can take the Osaka Metro Nagahoribashi Line directly to Shinsaibashi. There is the Keihan Electric Railway that can go directly to Kyoto Gion and Sanjo. There is also the most popular one in Osaka. The Jr Loop Line (can reach usj, airport, and Kobe) Facilities: It is hard to imagine that this is a hotel that opened in 1986. The facilities are very well maintained. Hygiene: Like the facilities, as an old Japanese brand hotel, the hygiene is clean and there is nothing uncomfortable. Service: Maintaining a high standard of service content as always In the future, Osaka will be my first choice without any surprise.

I've traveled Japan quite extensively, and so far, this is the one of the best hotel (for it's value) that I've ever stayed in. At first, I had doubts on the hotel location, seeing that I'm travelling with infant and a big luggage, but to my surprise the location is quite convenient. The connection to the subway station and JR station means you can visit almost every tourist attraction in Osaka. Just a few steps from the subway exit, the hotel provides a shuttle bus which operates every 15-minutes. Although, putting big luggage into the minibus was quite a challenge, once seated in the bus you can breathe a sigh of relief. The receptionist speaks English, so the check-in process is quite hassle free. There's a Family Mart behind the hotel in case you are looking for something to eat at night as the area is quite quiet at night. Inside the hotel there are coin operated laundry, vending machine and ice machine so your basic necessities are covered. I stayed in the Superior Room, which is the biggest room they have to offer us there. It was quite spacious and luxurious, and we really enjoyed the bathtub, which was a relief after a few days of staying in small hotel rooms of Kyoto. The view from the room is spectacular. You can continuously enjoy the view of Osaka Castle in the morning and at night. It must have been much more spectacular once the Sakura trees surrounding the castle is in full bloom. The only thing that I could nitpick on the room is that the bed and the pillow should've been as plush as the room. The breakfast menu is not quite extensive, nevertheless it is quite delicious. I will definitely stay in KKR Hotel Osaka again for my next trip.

The location is great for catching the train. The hotel is super close to some markets stalls (kinetsu line station) selling various food items and their fruits were cheap and good quality so I highly recommend you visit there. The Korea Town is also a 5 minute straightforward walk from the hotel but I do find that the shops are usually shut early (like before 6pm). At night, the area is super quiet and difficult to find places for dinner, at 8pm most restaurants are shut. There’s a small shrine nearby and we were able to watch the local matsuri and enjoy the food and culture! The front desk have many staffs that are fluent in different languages! Mandarin, English, Korean, Japanese and more! The hotel also has a seating area outside if you like some fresh air! Hotel also has a scale for weighing your suitcases! You can deposit your valuables with the front desk and they store it in a safe! Two of us had booked in and we did receive two rooms cards which is handy. The rooms are average size; you are able to open two large-size suitcases fully and can walk around them. There’s not much table area to put your stuff on top but not a big deal for us. Rooms are cleaned daily and bins are taking out etc.

A great thing about this hotel is the location. It is within a very reasonable walking distance of Osaka Castle, and there is an elevator going down to a subway station (serving two different subway lines) literally about 20 feet from the hotel door. There are also excellent supermarkets with deli-style, ready-to-eat Japanese foods (sashimi, tataki, octopus legs, clams, etc.) about 15 minutes walk away. Also there are numerous convenience stores nearby, and a McDonald's restaurant just down the street... for the faint of heart. Other good points are the polite staff, the reasonably well laid-out bathroom, the coin-operated clothes washers and dryers being available, and the powerful air conditioning which stays on when you are not there. The free breakfast was more or less all Japanese style food, but seemed good to me and in ample supply at the buffet table. Oh, and a kid can stay (and eat) with an adult for no additional charge. A negative is the Toyoko Inn policy of kicking out guests from 10 AM until 4 PM every day, while the rooms are cleaned. I was there with my 6 year old daughter in blazing hot August, and it sure would have been nice to swing by and cool off for an hour or so around 2 PM some days. Or maybe to hole up in there during a typhoon. Another negative is, the coin laundry is located in the breakfast room, and I believe the clothes dryers vent directly into the room air. Inevitably someone would get up to do laundry at 6 AM and have the breakfast room like a hot humid sauna by eating time. I shower in the morning, and really hated to feel that sweat pouring out of my body again so soon afterwards. And maybe the bed was a little on the hard side for me. One final gripe is that while a kid can stay with an adult for free, only one set of towels is provided unless you pay extra.

This hotel is very close to Kintetsu Department Store. If you want to live near Kintetsu, you can choose. But I leave the hotel at 5 am to catch the airport bus. Since the door of the hotel is closed, I took a lot of luggage to find people. I met the kitchen staff and took me through the back door to leave. I was very embarrassed and lost things. The front desk was not on duty at all. Because of this, this hotel will not choose again.

泊まるだけの目的で急遽利用しました。場所は鶴橋駅のすぐ近くですが、土地勘がなかったため、グーグルマップを利用しながら訪れましたが、しばし周辺をウロウロしました。そのくらい昔ながらの入り組んだ街並みだと思います。ただ、一回たどり着ければ、その後は駅から簡単にアクセスできると思います。部屋や建物はホテルというよりも、マンションといった感じでしょうか。まずチェックイン時の建物に入る際には、インターホンを押し、フロントの方にドアを開けてもらう必要があります。これは建物の椅子に座っていたお兄さんが教えてくれました。チェックイン後にどこかへ出かけて、再度ホテルに入る時には、フロント前に表示されているパスワードが必要になります。お風呂は部屋に付いているタイプもあるみたいですが、部屋にお風呂がない場合は、1Fの共同風呂を利用します。他の方が利用中の場合は、待つことになります。トイレはシャワートイレではありません。朝食は時間がなかったので近所のコンビニで調達しましたが、近所の韓国街では、朝から屋台のようなところでチヂミのようなものを焼いていたので、それらを利用するのもありなのかなと思います。

The room was very clean and comfortable. It was close to Osaka Castle and suitable for a morning walk, so I had a good experience. There is also a 7-Eleven within 0 minutes' walk, so you won't have any trouble if you want to buy something. Like this hotel very much! The price/performance ratio is very high, the rooms are relatively new, and the location is very convenient. It is very close to the Kintetsu and the subway. There are convenience stores, drugstores, fast food, and noodle shops downstairs. All facilities are complete, and skin care sets in tablets are provided ( DHC's cleansing oil, facial cleanser, toner and lotion), and the front desk also provides hanging coffee, tea bags and bath salts. The service is very good, and the hotel elevator requires card swiping, which has good security and has panels that are convenient for wheelchair users and blind people. Will give this chain priority when going elsewhere.

The language and envy of the front desk were polite and comfortable. The room was cleaned well. Convenience stores and coin laundry were on the first floor and convenient. Was the Osaka Marathon signed, and made our trip to Osaka. I did my homework in various travel apps. I made a trade-off comparison. I finally chose Zhongshan Hotel. Maybe this is the fate of the world.        Before the trip, the landlord made several communication and patiently and meticulously answered and provided a lot of practical information and tips. (At the time, I felt that the voice of the landlord was very nice to hear and found that it was a gentle and sweet Jiangnan beauty.) It’s very hard to mention that the introduction and strategy of the hotel are very detailed and practical.        The location of the B&B is very good. The Yuzhe Commercial Street (all the drugstores, supermarkets, restaurants), the subway station, the ring railway station, the Osaka landmark Osaka Castle Park are all within walking distance. You can ask the beautiful landlord. No matter how small, you will answer your questions patiently and meticulously.        We booked a Japanese-style suite on the first floor. The tatami design. The children loved it. The mattress and quilt are also very comfortable. The rest is good every night. The second floor has a common living room, dining room, bathroom, and bathing.        A few days here, small and warm, comfortable and comfortable, everything is very convenient, no hurry, feel at home, have the opportunity to go to Kansai, you must use this as a transfer station.

I've stayed at hostels before, and had a great experience till now. It's a shame to say I cancelled my stay at this hostel. Unfortunately, it fell below expectations and did not match the excellent reviews I saw online. We booked a non-smoking room, only for us to smell the smoke lingering in the room from the other guests. My father and mother, both very sensitive to the smell, had trouble sleeping and continually coughed throughout the night. And even though the hotel acknowledged this issue, they did nothing to solve it. Additionally, the room smelled like damp sweat. Even though we were supposed to be given a ”private” room, we only had a little partition separating us from the rest of the dormitory, making us feeling ill at ease when they admitted in their signs of common cases of theft in the hostel. Furthermore, their laundry facilities were absolutely terrible. We tried using the washing/drying machines, but after attempting 4 cycles of drying, the clothes were nearly as wet as when they went in. A staff member acknowledged this as an issue that needed to be fixed when I approached him, but was reluctant to do anything beyond saying he should propose for it to be put out of service so it could be fixed. We left two days in of our four night stay because the conditions grew to be unbearable. I left as soon as my family and I could find another place to stay. The staff apologized but did nothing about our negative experience. I would absolutely never recommend this hostel. There are far better places to stay in Osaka for a better price, better comfort, and better service.
