SO/ Paris Hotel

Paris|2.69km from CMG Sports Club One Nation
I booked my wife to stay at this hotel recently and she loved it. I needed to be in Paris, and decided to try it myself. It is now the place I will always try to stay in Paris. The great thing about this hotel is that it is a perfect trade-off of price/location. In September, we stayed at the Faubourg Sofitel (also Accor) which is about as 'Prime Paris' as you can get. Right next door to the Elysee. For that, you got a hotel which was about 50% more expensive, for 40% less product. SO/ is central, but a bit on the edge, and for me that is worth every cent of the tradeoff. Additionally, the tradeoff places you right next to the river with views of Paris that are sensational. And anyway you are 5 mins on foot to the Places des Voges - this is still beautiful Paris. Other big pluses: - food quality is really high in Bonnie. We went for dinner and breakfast. Both great. Dinner buzzy, and possible the most beautiful breakfast room views imaginable. In summer.... wow. - rooms are extremely high quality fit out. Bed is incredibly comfortable. Just be aware that there is now bath or desk even if a room which could accomodate it - staff are charming and very well trained. - access by car is easy. Very few people will be driving (but I was). Access is super simple, and the valet parking v reasonable (about Eur40) - I didn't use the gym or pool, but they looked amazing by Paris hotel standards - I loved the design concept of the hotel. It is young and modern without being like a W (which I don't like... trying too hard) I strongly recommend. Thank you SO/ Paris.

My husband and I stayed in a Superior Double Room for two days at the beginning of March. We had a wonderful view of the park and the Eiffel Tower. The room is beautiful to look at, but a little damaged in some parts (for example the shower). The biggest problem of the room was the ventilation system, as it smelled of the drain several times. The cleaner does her job, as she cleans the room daily, but the problem is exclusively ventilation. I might also point out that you can hear the chairs being moved in the bar in the room. I would also suggest that a different choice of breakfast be made every day, as it was the same breakfast twice. However, I would like to conclude by praising the staff, who were friendly at all times.

Hotel bien situé à 5 min du métro Nation. Personnel très sympathique. Chambre correcte avec bouilloire. Bon rapport qualité prix à Paris. Très bien sauf absence connexion internet mais d’après le personnel c’était un problème temporaire.

This hotel is absolutely amazing for such a small property. It's clear to me that the owner takes personal pride in managing this place everyday. Besides a minor mishap which got resolved quickly I really enjoyed the stay. We are ultra clean when home and also when traveling. We cannot believe this is a 2 star hotel. If you value cleanliness, this hotel is a 5 star. It shames many Park Hyatts and JW Marriott properties if you want a squeaky clean room and bath. It's simple and basic which is what we needed in the prime holiday season in June. The air conditioning was strong, even too cold. The location was also super convenient being close to 2 Metro stations. Two constructive criticism on front desk issues. 1. The front desk could use an upgrade in appearance. It's dark and does not give off good impression upon entering the hotel. 2. front desk personnels were all very professional and helpful. But I think a little bit of warmth and jokes can go a long way when dealing with jet-legged customers. I may also have been a bit too critical when I did encounter an issue but part of that likely is that my entire family was just so exhausted. Overall a great find. Would love to return when visiting Paris again.

Due to airline meltdowns we ended up in Paris for two nights and stayed in room 428 . The room is a typical Parisian hotel (meaning small) but it has a small fridge and a decent size shower. Our room over looked the street which despite being in Paris we slept soundly without noise. Also there were many guests staying here and we never heard or saw anyone except at breakfast! This hotel is in a family friendly neighbourhood and walking distaste to nice restaurants and grocery stores. Since it is a little out of the touristy part of France English speakers are not easily found so it helps to know some words or have google translate available. They offer a buffet breakfast for a very good price and it had a nice selection each day. . The front desk workers and the breakfast attendant were all very nice and helpful. If we find ourselves back in Paris we would stay here again without hesitation
