Hotels with Parking in Kumamoto City

The hotel's front desk service was excellent. They quickly and helpfully resolved a bug with the parking lot access, which was very thoughtful. The room was small, a typical Japanese-style room. The location is quite good. The image shows the information for the hotel's partner parking lot.

Since I had a 7-day JR Pass, proximity to a JR station was my top priority for this trip. The hotel is very close to the JR station, and it seems to attract a lot of business travelers. My initial impression was that some of the younger staff at check-in lacked a bit of enthusiasm. But I let that slide. After getting to my room, I couldn't find the Wi-Fi password anywhere. I went downstairs specifically to ask, and the response was 'in room'. I still tried to figure it out myself first, searching every corner, but still nothing. So I went back down. The older staff member was very friendly and helpful. As soon as she mentioned 'TV', I immediately understood, as many hotels back home display it on the television. She even drew a diagram to explain! Usually, when you enter a room and the power comes on, the TV turns on automatically, and you'd see it. But this time, I had to turn the TV on myself, which I hadn't thought of. It just goes to show that service attitudes can vary among different staff. In Japan, I've always admired the professionalism across all industries, but this was the first time I've encountered such a service attitude from a staff member. Overall, this hotel's proximity to the JR station and its excellent value for money make it worth staying at.

From the moment I checked in until I checked out, the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They greeted me every time we crossed paths, and on the morning of my second day, they even called to ask if I wanted my room cleaned. I asked for just extra towels instead of a full cleaning, and they happily provided them. When I needed to use the washing machine but only had a 500 yen coin, they gladly exchanged it for 100 yen coins without any fuss. The hotel's location is fantastic – literally a minute's walk from the arcade shopping street. There are plenty of great restaurants and izakayas nearby, and both Sakuramachi and Kumamoto Castle are within walking distance, which was a huge plus. The room itself was the perfect size for one person, so I'd definitely consider staying here again if I travel solo. I didn't use the public bath because of my tattoos (I didn't ask if it was allowed), but the bathtub in my room was great for a relaxing soak. There are also two convenience stores right in front of the hotel, perfect for grabbing snacks.

When we arrived at the hotel, we couldn't find a parking spot, and then one of the staff members—I think Elly—helped us tremendously to find a parking spot. The staff is very helpful and super friendly. The hotel is centrally located.  It is very quiet in the hotel itself. The surroundings are also extremely quiet, so we were able to sleep well. The beds were very good. One minor downside is that they didn't offer drinking water. So you had to get it yourself, and the 7-Eleven was around the corner, so that wasn't really a huge problem. We enjonyed our stay. Thank you!

The location is great, near to the malls and Kumamoto Castle. The room is great, nice street view and rather spacious. The buffet breakfast is fine, and the coffee served is really good. The only problem I was facing is the room temperature. It was a little warm and stuffy without AC, I could not have a good sleep because of that.

We had a pleasant stay at HOTEL MYSTAYS Kumamoto Riverside. The hotel is conveniently located near the city center, making it easy to explore Kumamoto Castle, shopping streets, and local restaurants. The riverside setting also provided a nice atmosphere, especially in the evening. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with the amenities needed for a short stay. The staff were friendly and professional, and the check-in process was smooth and efficient. The reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the room space was a bit limited for travelers with larger luggage. However, everything was well-maintained and functional, so it did not significantly impact our stay. Overall, HOTEL MYSTAYS Kumamoto Riverside offers great value, a convenient location, and reliable service. We would happily stay here again when visiting Kumamoto.

Having lived in Japan for over ten years, I have to commend this hotel. It far exceeded my expectations. 1. Right outside the door is the largest local bus terminal, making it incredibly convenient to get to the airport, Aso, Amakusa, and Fukuoka. 2. The price is half or even less than half of surrounding hotels. I originally had no expectations, thinking it would just be a cheap place to crash. 3. While the hallway decor looks a bit dated, it perfectly aligns with the MUJI団地 (housing complex) design philosophy. You even use a traditional key to open the door. 4. Although the room has an old-style Japanese business hotel decor, it's exceptionally clean and very spacious. The room design is well-thought-out, making it comfortable and secure to use. 5. Both check-in and check-out at the front desk were handled with meticulous care and polite, professional service. This is something even much more expensive hotels I've stayed at elsewhere often fail to deliver. 6. I stayed here for five consecutive nights and had a great experience. I would definitely choose this hotel again for future family trips.

Although it's far from Kumamoto Station, it's conveniently located within walking distance of the nearest tram station. ❗️ The private room was surprisingly spacious, and I was able to store my luggage there. It looks like I could easily bring a medium-sized carry-on suitcase into the room. The bathroom was clean and easy to use. ❗️There was a large public bath and a small sauna, so I was able to relax. 😌 There was a women-only floor, so I was able to relax there. I recommend this hotel for those who just want a place to sleep at a reasonable price.👍 ̖́-

Overall, a fantastic stay! I really appreciated the complimentary drinks and the spacious bathtub in the room. The service was excellent, and I'll definitely be returning for another visit. My only minor critique is that the location isn't the most convenient, but despite that, I found the overall experience to be very satisfactory.

部屋は広々としていて、くつろげました。古さはありますが、清潔にされていて良かったです。 温泉も、熱い湯が好きな自分としては熱い所が小さかったのが気になりましたが空いていたので問題はありませんでした。温いお湯しかない所も多いので、あるだけプラスかなと思います。 アメニティーも充分でしたが、一つだけ悪い点としてスリッパが自分には合わず足の甲が痛くて苦痛でした。大浴場まで結構距離があるので、ここだけは改善してほしいなと思いました。もっと柔らかいものだと良いのかな？ それ以外は値段から見て大満足でした。また機会があれば行きたいですね。
