Great hotel and lovely atmosphere. All it was very good also the food. My children really enjoyed tge animation after dinner time. We had a departure quite early in the morning and they prepared for us 2 big breakfast. Wonderful service. I'll come back for sure.

Stayed at the Eurocongressi for four night. My partner and I were greeted by the lovely ladies in reception. We were given our room and It was lovely. Had a lovely view of the village. The hotel is dated but that doesn’t take away the cleanliness. Our rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels and rooms all mopped. There’s a good selection of cakes and pastries for breakfast and a few options of eggs and omelettes. Plenty to choose from. It’s in a good location, I would suggest hiring a car if you plan on travelling to sirmione. We absolutely loved our time at this hotel and in Italy. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking to stay here.

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte in questo hotel. La stanza era pulita ma come già sottolineato in una recensione di maggio 2023, ”mancano alcune accortezze di un hotel 4 stelle che dovrebbero essere scontate” (i.e in bagno non c'è nessun bicchiere, porta spazzolino, salviette, fazzoletti etc...). In questo periodo, inoltre, stanno facendo dei lavori, quindi una volta fatto il check-in, dopo pranzo (ore 15 pomeriggio), c'erano i muratori che utilizzavano il trapano e facevano abbastanza rumore fino le 18 più o meno. La sera abbiamo cenato in un ristorante e al nostro ritorno in albergo c'era un cameriere seduto nella hall che ci ha chiesto dove avessimo mangiato, di dove eravamo. Abbiamo risposto alle sue domande per educazione e gentilezza anche se è stato un po' ”invasivo” nel chiedere a mia figlia ”Where are you from?” quando fino a poco tempo prima stavamo parlando in italiano. Una volta entrate in stanza, mia figlia riceve la richiesta su instagram da questo cameriere SENZA avergli mai detto nome e cognome. Il giorno dopo, facciamo colazione ( la quale non era abbondante e neanche troppo degna di un hotel 4 stelle). Dopodiché al check-out, chiediamo al receptionist (che tra l'altro era il responsabile) se fosse normale che un loro dipendente chiedesse l'amicizia su instagram, non sapendo i nostri dati personali, lasciandoci quindi supporre che avesse chiesto direttamente alla reception il nome e cognome di mia figlia. Il responsabile ci ha risposto che avevamo assolutamente ragione e che avrebbe preso dei provvedimenti siccome era inaccettabile e ci avrebbe tenute aggiornate via email sui provvedimenti e ”indagini”. In fine, dopo 2 settimane, non ci ha mai comunicato chi avesse trafugato i dati dalla reception al cameriere. quindi attenzione alle vostre carte di credito o altri dati sensibili che potrebbero essere trasmessi a terze persone indesiderate.

This 3-4 star hotel is exactly as described and reviewed. So don’t expect a 5 star luxury palace. But if you want a good hotel in a quiet position, a 10-15min walk to the centre of Desenzano, then this fits the bill. We arrived earlier than regular check in but were met with friendly reception staff. I had emailed Hotel Oliveto knowing this and as promised could leave bags at reception and use the pool and pool bar till our room was ready. I forgot to pack a towel in hand luggage so rented pool towels (€3 per towel for the entire stay - not unreasonable) The pool is 25x10m, clean, not overly chlorinated and a lovely 28 degrees. It has spa corners to relax in and plentiful loungers and umbrellas. The family friendly hotel had lots of kids but the pool was never overly crowded, nor was the space around it. There’s no view of the lake but it’s reasonably private and I think it’s fine. The pool bar is open from midday till 7 and serves simple snack food (sandwiches, toasties, chips etc along with a reasonable range of drinks) A separate shaded seating area means you can eat away from the pool. When we got into the room, it was one of the older styles (as expected). The new refurbished ones look on the photos to be of a much more modern and luxury type but the standard double we had was as per the photos. Given I wasn’t planning to do much in the room other than sleep, wake up and shower, it was fine. The bathroom is dated but there’s plenty of hot water, a reasonable shower, very good AC and despite the previous reviews I found the WiFi to be pretty good. The breakfast was varied and as expected at a 4 star hotel. Plenty of choice with juice, coffees and teas, cereals, sweet pastries and cakes, continental meats and cheeses, yoghurts, fresh fruits and limited cooked breakfast items. We stayed when the hotel was full and although the dining area was full, we never had to wait for a table. Serving up till 10am meant we could lie in too. The other hotel facilities we used was the gym. A reasonable place with 2 running machines, a static cycle, rowing machine, a multi-weights machine, bench, free weights, kettles, Swiss balls and mat. Well air conditioned, you needed to book (COVID restrictions) but we were always able to get a slot we wanted. There was an indoor pool, and spa circuit but it was so nice and hot outside, we never tried them. The other reviews seem to be positive about them. We never had dinner at the hotel either. Desenzano del Garda is a town at the lower West corner of Lake Garda. It has some upmarket shops but in general is a laid back place with lots of restaurants. Don’t expect trendy fashionista bars or nightclubs. It’s clearly fueled by tourism but again doesn’t feel overly crowded or intimidating. Just a nice compact place. It’s a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel to the town centre which was never a problem. The town has a rocky beach with lounger/shade hire, pedalos and beachside restaurants. We found an amazing family run

The location on a traffic-rich axis is acceptable for unique stay at closed windows. The quality and equipment of the hotel is excellent. The same can be said for breakfast.

The fabric of the hotel is very good. Clean and fresh and so it should be as I believe it has recently been refurbished. If you want a hotel where there is daytime/night time entertainment this is not for you. It is generally a quiet relaxing hotel. Children are allowed but they will have to provide their own entertainment. There are three pools, one in the spa, one adults only and one that children can use. The pool bar was not in operation while we were there. The hotel is a 50 min walk from the town of Lazise on reasonable paths that are shared with cyclists. But you take your life in your own hands as the cyclists and scooter riders just fly past with no warning. A taxi into town costs 15-20 euro. There is no shuttle bus at the hotel even though it indicates there is on the trip advisor hotel listing. And to the reviewer who says it is a 5 min walk to the lake..you are wrong. I would say it is at least 15 mins and that includes a shortcut through a vineyard and a campsite. The rooms are a decent size. Storage for clothes could be improved with more drawer/shelf space. There is a fridge (no mini bar) which on arrival has two bottles of water in. It seems pot luck as to whether the water is replenished. A good size TV but maybe only 3 English channels (news). The bedside lamps are quite dim...not enough light to read by. All rooms have a balcony or terrace for ground floor. There was no milk to make hot drinks. We purchased some from the local supermarket. Breakfast is more or less typical for a holiday hotel. Fresh fruit..well melon and pineapple, yogurts. Continental style with meats and cheeses plus a pastry section. Don't expect a full English here.... there is bacon, fried egg and sausage but that is all. The food was a decent quality. There is a gripe I do have in that when the bread ran out we were tod it was finished and no more would be coming out.....this wasn't at the end of the breakfast sitting but with still 45 mins to go. NOT ACCEPTABLE. One thing that we observed was a family who loaded up breakfast food of all description including fresh fruit, as well as taking water bottles from the display and then blatantly took it back to their rooms. They took plates piled high and filled bags. It wasn't as if they were having breakfast in their rooms as they were eating breakfast in the dining room. They were clearly taking food to eat later in the day! The staff knew but did nothing. Maybe that is why they ran out of bread. We only dined in the evening twice. The menu is not extensive .....in fact there were only two choices of main meal. Other course were labelled starter, first course, second course, so maybe you are supposed to have one of each course because the size of the main dish is not huge. If you have a decent appetite you will need more than one course. The main problem with this hotel is the lack of staff. There was not enough waiting staff at all so tables were delayed in getting cleared and more importantly food

I only stayed one night in this hotel but I was very good. I booked a double-view room with lake view and I have to say that the view is really wonderful. The staff is kind and careful, we arrived before check-in and we were allowed to access the pool, which is beautiful because you have a great view of something from here, because the hotel is on a small hill. the comfortable room The hotel was very comfortable and spacious with a beautiful terrace with table and chairs to enjoy the panorama. The bathroom was provided with sets of courtesy in rechargeable bottles, very green! At night we had dinner in the hotel, the cuttings were excellent! Breakfast is very rich, which can enjoy on the terrace. When I read other reviews I was worried about the runers, in fact it felt the noise of the winds of the bathroom next door, but in the night it was quiet and I sleeped well. overall it was a very pleasant experience

Hotel management service very very poor and rude behaviour. Coffee matching in room but no water inside the Matchin to make the coffee. We requested them to fill the water but they didn’t do anything. Today Night shift Manager was so rude with us because we had water bottles in our hands and the water we get from outside but night shift Manager stop us rudely start talking why we get the water from gym room but we didn’t even go to the gym to get the water. We came with our family to stay comfortably but those kind of behaviour how can we find comfortable. We pay lots of money expect good service but Hotel expo is completely different. Finally I will suggest whoever try to book the hotel please please thank before you book your trip.
