We stayed at Hotel Torino with a group. I would not recommend this hotel. The bed mattresses were completely worn out, no blankets on bed so we had to use ancient bedspreads. Hot water took 10 min to reach shower but if you tried to add cold to adjust temp, all hot water vanished. The hot shower was a trickle. Bathroom shampoo was powered and unusable. Breakfast was mediocre - fresh fruits were non-existent, coffee was not good, pastries were unappetizing, and boiled eggs severely over cooked. Thank goodness for the the granola which was delicious. Very few breakfast options nearby so we were stuck with the hotel choices. Our 7th floor room did not automatically lock, so room had to be locked from inside with key as well as locked with key whenever we left room. Other rooms in hotel did not have this issue. Keys had hotel name and room number plastered on the keychain which is a security issue if lost. Wifi dropped constantly. The safe did work and the room was made up each day (though our group had varied experience with housekeeping making up the rooms). If we had not been with a group, we would have left and found new accommodations.

Honestly couldn't fault our stay here. From the friendly check in we received when we arrived to extra assistance we needed. All the staff we encountered were very helpful, we only had one issue with one of the early morning receptionist we weren't aware the gates were locked we had to ask twice to have the gate unlocked as we had a early morning excursion planned and needed to leave, the man on reception gave us a rather grumpy and short response when we asked to have the gates opened. But apart from that all the other staff went above and beyond for us. From getting us extra pillows on the first night even after the maid service left. On our last evening the receptionist called up our transfer company for us and confirmed our pick up time for us, as our phones wouldn't allow us to call international numbers. On the day we checked out, they even stored our luggage for us behind the front desk as we had a few hours to kill before we got picked up. When our transfer taxi didn't arrive, the receptionist on duty that day couldn't be more helpful,phoning the company for us to find out what the hold up was, even helping organise a different taxi for us to get us to the airport in time for our flights home. Rooms were airy and cleaned daily and in an excellent location for the local metro line. Perfect to use as a base to get away from the hustle bustle of the city centre. Perhaps a welcome guide in the room would be useful to let people know of the times when the gate is locked etc as we weren't aware of this. Overall enjoyed our stay here with the friendly staff and comfy rooms.

I'm sure that each of us has his own scale of factors to evaluate whether a place is beautiful or ugly but that the added value is the people. In this clean, nice and very comfortable hotel, near the Roma Termini station, it is precisely the people who make a small hotel a point of reference for our trips to Rome. Paola from the reception was, and is, the person who followed us during the booking process and who went out of her way to help us project our photographs on a wall, in a small room set up just for us, a small group of photographers arrived in town for a two day photography course. Just got back from a city break in Rome, we loved the city and everything we did there. Then we come to the hotel so I will start with the very few good points. The young lady on reception when we arrived was very nice and friendly. Our room was cleaned daily and bed made and fresh towels left and we slept ok. Now the bad : firstly when we walked into the room i notuced there was no information about anything which i have never come across before, lots of scuff marks on walls, no TV remote (when i asked about it was told you have to use buttons on tv), no tea/coffee making facilities including no cups or glasses, , no hairdryer, broken headboard on bed, bathroom was very dated (certainly didn't look like the photos on the website), the shower head had more water coming out of one side than the other and wouldn't adjust,old mismatched furniture ( wobbly tv table). We booked bed and breakfast which wasnt on the premises, you had to get a card from reception each morning, walk up the road to a small bar where you had a coffee and a pastry, that was breakfast. I definitely wouldn't say the 3-star rating is justified more like a 2 star. If you just want somewhere to sleep, then I'm sure it would be fine for you, but it certainly isn't somewhere to go back to and relax. As a suggestion, I think they could easily provide a kettle, cups, hairdryer, and charge a deposit which you would get back when you left. I missed waking up and having a hot drink whilst getting ready to go out.

I only had a short stay here but I enjoyed my time. The staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful. It was a quirky place, easy to navigate round and I found it useful to be able to use the lockers before and after my check in/out. I found the price to be more than reasonable and would definitely recommend.

Fantastic village, beautiful surroundings and very peaceful. Train station is around a 30 minute walk from the village where you can get cheap trains to Rome and the airport. Great place to get a good night’s rest and good value too. I stayed there between flights so it was convenient as it is only 1 hour 15 minutes by train to the airport. There are restaurants, plenty of toilets and even a shuttle bus. I didn’t use any of these services because I just needed to sleep but there are lots of amenities. I stayed in a basic room which had 2 beds, table, light and power socket. That’s all you need. There is a heater and blankets for when it gets cold. A generous amount of toilet paper is also provided which can be used in the shared toilets. Staff are friendly. All in all a great place to stay!

The location is fantastic, right next to the Venetian Square. The elevator is very compact, the breakfast room is narrow, and the waiters are very kind. We booked a 2-person room with a 7-year-old child, and the front desk agreed to it, but the child added 15 euros a day for breakfast, which is still cheaper than a triple room. Take a taxi to the airport for 50 euros.

The location is very good. Just opposite the Colosseum is an old house, but the room has a modern design. The breakfast is rich and delicious. The top Michelin restaurant can see the Colosseum. The staff is very good. Stayed for two nights. Satisfied.

I was nervous about travelling alone for the first time, but the staff (Alessio, Flavio, Martina and Bianca) made my trip unforgettable. The team are so funny and friendly. Alessio (the bar manager) provides the most entertaining atmosphere and is a true credit to the hostel. My private room was clean and comfortable with beauty Italian decor. The guests were a mixture of solo travellers and groups (generally 20-40ish) but everybody was made to feel welcome and included. Thank you to Alessio and the team for a phenomenal experience!

Really convenient location with only 3-min distance to Roma Termini giving you quick and easy transfer to the airport and elsewhere in Italy by train. Rooms have been renovated too. However, front desk staff was really rude. When I dropped my room keys in the transparent plastic box placed on the front desk for an express check-out and turned around leaving the hotel, staff shouted at me asking me to wait in line. The staff said I haven’t cleared my payment and tried to charge me full room rate plus city tax even though I have prepaid the room rate to Agoda in full. True that I haven’t paid city tax but they have swiped my credit card upon check-in or they could have asked me to pay upon check-in either. I suggested the hotel should have hided their express check out box if there is no such option available. The staff bluntly replied it is for guests who have cleared all the payment. It is really ironic who can enjoy express check out, if the hotel doesn’t charge city tax upfront nor charge it to credit card. Meanwhile, the room cleaning is so-so and forgot to refill shampoo/shower gel/fresh tower quite a few times during our stay. Also, the windows isn’t good at isolating street noise.
