The Beachcomber Beach Resort Hotel

Everything was excellent, until 2am Sunday when we were awaken by cackling obnoxious drunk women. Aside from that we will definitely return and stay on the 300 sideof the resort.

For the price of 871 for 2 nights plus another 85 resort fee, this property didn’t meet expectations. Desperate need of repairs, cracked tiles, literally an old couch dumped in a pile of palm leaves in the parking lot, worn furniture from the 80s, and the “pleasure” of a rock concert at Jimmy Bs from 7 to 1:30 am, heard from the discomfort of your worn hard bed. It has the appearance of a by the hour motel. And forget about the smell of the fresh sea air because all of the smoking permitted on the crowded decks and balconies, beach and pool. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a sea of Lucky Strike and Marlboro Red packs literally everywhere. On the plus side, your 40 a day per person resort fee got you a personally delivered water bottle off the scoop of a John Deere tractor while on the beach. I could go on but you get the point.

This property has very nice and well maintained grounds. Jimmy B’s is a lot of fun and serves good bar food. The live music is great! The pools are also great! Excellent beach access with beautiful sunsets! There are several good restaurants within walking distance and many more a short drive away. The building itself is a bit dated but it seemed like updating was in progress. Bed was comfortable. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

Big rooms and comfy beds. The beach was fantastic. Great location. In general, the place could use some updates but it was decent. I don't think I would stay here again. I'd go to the Hilton next door for a little more per night and get free breakfast.

We stayed at The Beachcomber because of it's location and amenities - direct beach access, complimentary chairs and umbrellas, and Jimmy B's Beach bar connected to the hotel. Jimmy B's has great live music (all day on Saturdays and Sundays), and a huge outdoor deck right on the beach. It was a perfect location. The hotel itself, is an older hotel with renovated rooms, which are modest, and fairly small, with a tiny bathroom, but nice enough. The courtyard, which our room overlooked is beautiful, with hammocks and two pools. The room was clean, but you can tell its an older holder, with metal door frames that have rusted a bit from the salt air. The staff is very kind and helpful, especially Bill on the beach, who sets up your umbrella, offers you water, and will give you ideas of places to go during your stay. The only downside is that you can hear the music in the bar until about 11pm, so if youre an early sleeper, this may be a problem. We were fairly close to the bar, so ask for a room that is as far from the bar as possible. There is also no breakfast restaurant right at the hotel, but there is always fresh coffee in the lobby, a Dunkin' across the street, and Im sure other restaurants nearby. We will stay here again, in fact, we are considering having our very small, casual wedding celebration here.

I love this place. Two pools, right on the beach, and their beach bar is one of the most popular around. I was worried it would be too loud from the live band but I was pleasantly surprised to find I couldn’t even hear it from my room. Everything was clean and updated.

I left my room for 15 minutes come back.Can't get in card works but hotel lock thing secure.By myself noone in there.So it took 3 guys to finally bang out from outside and put new hotel lock on inside! Really, they tell me it happens from time to toime .Not acceptable! Single by myself ..Cant even sleep.How does this Happen? Never again! Stay safe and stay away from this establishment, Not cool.Cant explain? Want to checkout? Np money back..bang it out

We loved the location of this property - right on the beach! The staff was very friendly. We enjoyed the live music. Everything else wasn’t as nice. The rooms are dated. Our room lost power and we had to switch rooms (grateful it wasn’t busy season so there was another room available!). So many of the guests were walking up and down the hallway from midnight to 3am laughing and yelling. Three doors down wreaked of **** & we had to pass every time we wanted to go to the beach. Our fridge wasn’t plugged in & we didn’t know, so our leftovers from dinner were ruined and we had to throw them away. Not a family friendly hotel, which made us happy our kids were not with us. Would not stay here again.

The staff are amazing , the music fantastic , the location is unbeatable. However time for management to redo the place , cracks in the wood , older furnishings , it needs a make-over big time .
