We checked in the hotel at 3 PM parking our rental car straight from airport no stops to their parking. Which is a lot behind the guard booth with the gate that goes down and up by a security guard who questions and then allows you on the property and tells you where to park. The night we check in our air-conditioning goes out. It’s mid 80s at night with a tropical storm pouring rain. So we had to **** all doors & windows, meaning zero air flow. Next morning we go downstairs and tell them of the problem. They sent 2 different teams of people to fix it to no success. We advised him we will be leaving the property and when we come back later this afternoon if it wasn’t fixed we were ok with changing the room. We walk out to our car to our surprise was damaged in the parking lot. Not by a car but looks like a cart or something hit it. There is an employee/work entrance where I saw all types equipment being carried between cars yo the door. Wise they will look at their cameras. Come to find out that the cameras do not face their parking lot on their property. Even though there is a bar, a restaurant and an employee entrance and work area entrance. Their told us cameras on face the security booth to let you into the parking lot and the front of the hotel. Returning to the hotel and changing our rooms from a king-size bed to a queen size bed which is a $40 difference tonight. That was not refunded back to us, so we were charged for a more expensive room that we were in one night. The 2nd and last night in the second room we noticed the floor was completely wet in the bathroom and figured maybe they had mopped before we came in. We were wrong also wrong. We dried the floor and later that night going to the bathroom both of us nearly fell to the ground because the floor was soaked again. The roof was leaking. Not in one location but all over. The queen size bed mattress was broken literally broken down. To the point if you were within 3 inches to 4 inches away from the edge of the bed the mattress would just roll you off the bed. That morning we informed them will be checking out of the hotel due to one night at a room with no air conditioning, Iour rental car was damage on their property and then taking no accountability, and the third night let’s just call it a wet room with a broken bed. They refunded the other four nights we had scheduled, but would like to give us back the difference for charging us for emergency room the one night. Seven restaurants on their property however we couldn’t get guacamole and took over 1hour 30 minutes to figure out they have frijoles. I asked for a manager everyday as I know the people working the counter we’re not able to fix these issues. We weren’t able to have a conversation until 1 week later after calling daily. This provider gave me $15 worth of credits for my troubles. WOW way to make your customers fell appreciated🏆

This is a good alternative to an all-inclusive resort. Right on Chahue beach, some entertainment and plenty of (expensive) dining options. There are two pools and many rooms have a private dip pool on the patio. It’s a good location too. Besides being on Chahue beach it’s also a 12 minute walk to Santa Cruz beach and marina. I would stay there again

Amazing property, all the restaurants are terrific!! Service from all staff was amazing. Would definitely return!!

This property, overall is awesome. BUT, the room smelled terrible, was poorly cleaned (there were the same things under sink from previous tentants) that were obviously not sweeped for weeks. The rooms smelled terrible, and are in a major need for refurbishment and the views were not as advertised from the room. BUT, the pool and beach and restaurant and overall vibe; was fantastic and I would go back to stay in a heartbeat (even though the rooms ******).

Beautiful property, amazing food, staff are incredible. Loved how quiet it was in comparison to a traditional all inclusive property. Definitely recommend it for families and couples.

Very nice hotel even though it is a bit old. Nice variety of restaurants. Very comfortable beds.

So much packed into this cozy package. awesome location close to town, 7 restaurants within 100 meters, 20 min drive from the airport, ecofriendly (turtles even laying their eggs on the beach at the resort), great ocean swimming ( just watch the wind and the currents created by the wind), clean ocean water, feeding frenzies of birds and fish daily just offshore at the resorts (very safe), the area is amazing, great people, great staff and the breakfasts overlooking the ocean are to die for. Even the dinners on the ocean. The nightly events at the hotels (salsa night, opera night on the beach). The sunrise view from your balcony will take your breath away!

After a week of trying to get internet, I was moved to n much older room the had sporadic internet

Wonderful onsite restaurants. The splash pool rooms are great. Boutique like a**osphere 2 pools. great live music. the room towels need a good soak in bleach or replaced, as they were stained but smelled fresh. The beds are soft- better than our mattress at Secrets. The a/c works. Staff is great and worked with our poor Spanish skills. They are friendly and so hard working. The Beach is very clean (very close, too), and the area is very safe - 2 things the area prides itself on. We loved it so much, we returned for 1 more night before we went home.
