Farlam Hall and all its team set the standard for all Hotels and restaurants to follow. Everything from the booking to checking out, nothing is left to chance, every attention to detail is taken care of. I called to make the booking and it was answered on the first ring, no automated service to go through, just a warm welcome. Booking was followed up with emails to make sure they had everything we needed on arrival. We were met by Kirsty who came out to the car to greet us, we were then shown round the hotel and the champagne I'd ordered, perfectly chilled and waiting for us in the most beautiful lounge. The room was absolutely outstanding with all you could possibly need, with so many lovely touches. There aren't enough words to describe our dining experiences. Immaculate location, attentive and knowledgeable staff and the tasting menu and wine flight just outstanding. Every course, a work of art. Our second day/evening was equally as spectacular, and as if they could read our minds, our wishes were met without having to ask. We had a really early checkout so couldn't make breakfast, so they had it already packed up for us, with again, some lovely touches in the bag. Nothing showy or pretentious here, simply absolute genuine, authentic old fashioned service married with brilliant food and a glorious location.
