Destination resort. Amazing views from the top of the hill. Beautiful and well tended garden and greenery on the property. The maitre’d of the restaurant runs it like a well oiled machine. Conprehensive wine list including highly rated Japanese reds. Service staff are attentive and bi/tri lingual. Michelin star level service. Chef is impeccable too.

The meal lived up to its reputation. Both dinner and breakfast had attentive service and quality. There was a hot spring in the room, so I was able to stay warm during the cold season.

This place claims to be associated with Fufu, but it feels quite different from many aspects of Fufu. Anyway, the discount vouchers issued here can't be used. There are only four rooms here, and all meals (breakfast/dinner) and activities take place in the Lounge. Downstairs is the hot spring bath, which requires advance booking. There aren't many staff, but their attitude is good, and the food and drinks provided are decent. The internet is good, and the bed and pillows are comfortable. However, the facilities are a bit dated. What's somewhat amusing is that despite all my questions before arrival, nothing was done according to the answers once I got here. It's as if they have no interest in providing better service, beyond perhaps prying into personal information.

Take the free shuttle bus directly from Yugawara Station. The room is a single without a bathtub or shower, but there are plenty of outlets and USB ports. However, there are only two hangers. The food was delicious. The hot springs in the new building are mostly for day trips, and it can be uncomfortable when there are noisy groups of guests. The main building is a little old, but it is only for overnight guests, so it is more relaxing. The only hot spring with free-flowing water is the rock bath in the new building. I went there to treat a bruised leg, and I think it was effective.

It was a very good accommodation! I would like to stay again if I have another chance !!

I was very satisfied with the hotel I stayed at this time, booked through an online travel agency. The hotel package included one night's stay with two meals, and the meals were different each day. The Kaiseki cuisine was so good and plentiful that I actually felt full after every meal. The open-air onsen overlooked the sea, and soaking in the hot spring while listening to the sound of waves crashing on the shore was incredibly relaxing.

Facilities: A bit old, probably been around for a while. Separate wet and dry areas, large public bath, spacious rooms, and the beach is just across the street with a beautiful, expansive sea view. A convenience store is a three-minute walk away. Overall, it's quite good, although the street noise might be a bit bothersome. Service: I booked a room with two meals included, and the hotel gave me a small gift for booking. I initially went to the main building, but the receptionist helped me arrange a car to take me to the annex. I didn't eat sashimi, and after communicating with the hotel, they helped me switch to cooked food. The two meals were quite plentiful and not cheap according to the menu, but it only added less than 100 yen to the room price. If you want to try Japanese cuisine, I recommend booking a room with meals included.

Not recommended for a newbie. Check-in procedure was really complicated for foreigners, making a call to the host to get the password of the key box. Without Japan number I contacted the host by e-mail in Japanese instead that took some time. 500 yen onsen fee is compulsory. You need to pay more for a towel or amenities. The room and communal area with a small kitchen was good.
