This is by far the best onsen hotel I've ever stayed in! It's located around Jozankei town, with a shuttle bus service from Sapporo, making it very private and quiet. The room is spacious enough, and the private onsen is excellent – my skin felt so smooth after a soak. The bedding was comfortable, and the pillows were quite high-tech. The floor-to-ceiling windows offered a healing view of the snowy landscape, and if you're lucky, you might even spot a raccoon! The service was top-notch, patient and enthusiastic. I have to rave about the food at this hotel; the Italian dinner was incredible, every dish was superb, using seasonal local ingredients and beautifully presented. After dinner, you can even take some rice balls, desserts, and drinks back to your room. The hotel has a smoking room and vending machines, so you don't have to worry about going hungry. I'd love to come back again in the summer if I get the chance.

Guest UserThe room was excellent, and the environment was fantastic. A special thank you to the staff for their service. There were staff members who spoke Chinese, which made communication seamless. When I checked out, I forgot my phone at the hotel. The staff called the hotel I was going to beforehand, and then in the evening, they even delivered my phone to my hotel in Sapporo, waiting until I received it. The service was absolutely incredible, and I'm very grateful. It's a place definitely worth visiting.

Seven years ago, I stayed at a hotel directly across from Jozankei. While strolling nearby, I took a picture of a ryokan because its exterior was so beautiful. By chance, I ended up booking that very ryokan and came here. Not only the exterior, but the interior was also more stunning than I could have imagined. From the lobby to the hallways and lounges, everything has a delicate yet ideal design, and the room was so much to my liking that I felt like I could live there. I've stayed in countless hotels over the years, but this one was the best. The only slight disappointment was that I didn't find the kaiseki particularly delicious. Personally, I can't recall anything special about it besides the shrimp. However, the breakfast was great as it offered a wide variety of options. I definitely plan to revisit in the future.

The room was large and clean, and the hot spring facilities were excellent with a huge space. Dinner offered a wide variety of dishes, including unlimited domestic Japanese wagyu beef grilled fresh on the spot. For the same amount of steak, I would pay 10,000 yen for just 6 small pieces at Hokkai-En Yakiniku in Niseko town. The pizzas were also made to order. They even poured champagne from a brand new bottle into clean glasses for us. And the price was very reasonable; I even wondered if there was a mistake in the bill, haha! 😄

This hotel is very near to both JR Sapporo and Sapporo subway station, within 10 min walking distance.
Also, it is easy to walk to Tanikokuji / Susukino street, as well as Odori park.
In terms of facilities, beds are good for 2 people, and well equipped with fridge, hot shower, etc. And it also have public laundry machines, vending machines, book lounge, last but not least the most significant one, the big bath.
Will choose to stay for next visit definitely.

This onsen hotel is definitely worth the price. The environment and hygiene are excellent, and the room layout is fantastic. The yukata was the most comfortable I wore during my Hokkaido trip. The service was absolutely superb, especially the proprietress at the Kaiseki restaurant, Shoan. She was incredibly elegant and generous, giving us an authentic and meticulous Japanese service experience. The private onsen with a fee had average views. The outdoor public onsen was closed on the day of my stay due to cold weather. The indoor onsen, for a hotel of this price point, was quite ordinary. Therefore, I wasn't entirely satisfied with the onsen experience. All in all, while it might not be exceptionally surprising, this is a hotel that's well worth its price.

Novak001The location is fantastic! You can access Tanukikoji shopping street directly from the back door, and it's a short walk to places like the prefectural office. The room was spacious, and the breakfast curry rice was delicious, especially with an onsen egg (mostly because Hokkaido rice is so good!). Coming back after a day out and having a soak in the large public bath on the top floor was incredibly relaxing.

The hotel's location is great, quite close to the JR station. It's a five-minute walk to Daimaru. Although the room is small, it has everything you need, and the staff are very enthusiastic and friendly! I arrived at noon that day, and they arranged an early check-in for me, which I really appreciate!

Great stay, comfortable hotel and very pleasant amenities . The only annoyance até those HK tourists, very annoying misbehaving and speaking super loud and not following the onsen protocols, rushing for a spot in the tub . Be mentally prepared for those annoying tourists .
Hotel is great and so is the staff. I would stay again .

When I checked in, I received Chateraise Baumkuchen. The hospitality felt truly luxurious, like a proper hotel experience. The spa was spacious, and the open-air bath in the snow was absolutely amazing.
The breakfast buffet had a great variety, and the desserts and ice cream were the same delicious Chateraise products you'd buy in their stores – I ate so much!
I'd love to visit again in the summer when the outdoor pool is open.
