Mostly a positive experience. Facility was very clean and room was comfortable. We only stayed one night and left early the next day so we didn't get to explore many of the amenities. One thing that did kind of rub me the wrong way was that, when we got up in the morning to enjoy the continental breakfast, there were signs saying that it would cost around $15-20 per person. That hardly counts as a ”free” breakfast. We ended up going to a nearby Cracker Barrel, paid virtually the same amount, and had a much more enjoyable outing. Other than that one thing, we really liked our stay, the staff, and our room. The hotel is off the beaten path and can be a little difficult to find, but we liked the security of not being on the main road and in a more upscale part of Birmingham. The manager's name is ”Race” and he is a super-cool guy to deal with. He made our reservation process very easy.

I stayed here last year and so when I returned to Birmingham I needed to stay here again and I was not disappointed. I got the renovated superior king and it was great. Everything seemed brand new and in perfect working order. The A/C blew really cold air on a steaming hot day. Fridge was very clean and cold. WiFi was pretty fast and reliable, around 20 Mbps download speed. The TV shows cable channels in 4K and there are several HBO channels, so you will be pleased with the selection. The hotel needs to print those channel listings sheets and put them in all the rooms. Mattress was comfy and pillows fluffy. I do have a minor complaint about the shower head, it just has less pressure than I like. Please try to upgrade to the head with big powerful jets. I also don't like all-wood floors, so at least try to tape a rug near the door so on rainy days you can take off your wet shoes without tracking wet spots all over the room. Also install a rug near the bed so bare feet ain't touching a bare floor. I can't be the only person who likes carpets in hotel rooms, right? Ice machine is on the 3rd floor. Parking is crowded on weekends but I was still able to park close to the elevator. Lobby is very clean and the clerk was very friendly. Overall, I highly recommend this Red Roof and will definitely stay here again when I'm in town.

I booked this hotel for a stay for our high school tennis team and our entire stay was top notch. From booking the stay through group sales to every staff member we dealt with, I could not have asked for a better stay. The hotel was currently undergoing (and almost done with) a full renovation, so there was still some construction finishing up. That did not affect our stay. In fact, we had stayed there before the renovation, and the updates are great with all newly decorated rooms and common spaces. Teresa was our on-site contact and was not only friendly, but went out of her way to accommodate specific needs for our travel group. Breakfast on weekends typically doesn’t start until 7am, but they were able to offer a full hot and cold breakfast at 6am to accommodate our kids’ need to eat early and get to their tournament.

That hardly counts as a ”free” breakfast. We ended up going to a nearby Cracker Barrel, paid virtually the same amount, and had a much more enjoyable outing. Other than that one thing, we really liked our stay, the staff, and our room. The hotel is off the beaten path and can be a little difficult to find, but we liked the security of not being on the main road and in a more upscale part of Birmingham. The manager's name is ”Race” and he is a super-cool guy to deal with. He made our reservation process very easy.

Los baños y habitaciones estaban sucias. Desde que entrabas al edificio había mal olor como a cigarrillo. No hbia ningún tipo de seguridad alrededor ni dentro del hotel. Y el desayuno fue horrible, nose podía llmar ni desayuno. Nadie hablaba español. La nevera , tv y microondas de interrumpirla el servicio constantemente. El personal del hotel no tenían ni empatía y profesionalidad, nunca existió “UN BUENOS DÍAS , TARDES O NOCHES “ En fin ha sido el peor hotel en el cual me he hospedado.
