Crosswinds Inn

Thankfully we were allocated a top floor room, because friends on the ground floor could hear people moving around above them. That said, we could hear the family in our neighbouring room talking, which was annoying at 5.40 a.m.! At breakfast there was no breakfast tea available for us non-coffee drinkers - and on both mornings there wasn’t a table available and we had to wait as the small area was full. Can’t say I’d rave about the food either like I’ve read in some other reviews. Apart from its location close to town, I’m not sure I’d stay here again.

My daughter and I stayed at this wonderful hotel 5/26-5/28/24. The room is big and roomy with very comfortable beds and everything is extremely clean. The most important is that the location is great, this hotel is very safe, and it is within walking distance to restaurants and shopping in a quaint town. Lots of parking. Everyone we came into contact with at this hotel is extremely nice and accommodating. The breakfast that is included is very good - hot items and continental style choices. I love the extra touches in the room such as "bear" towel racks. When we were checking in, I heard the person at the counter offer "free bear spray that you can borrow and return" which was awesome since I purchased bear spray for $50. Would have been a nice perk to use. The drive to Yellowstone National park is about 30-40 minutes away (depending on traffic) but an absolute beautiful drive each day. You cannot go wrong staying here.

We enjoyed our week long stay here. Everything was clean and the staff was accommodating. We also appreciated all the amenities offered, especially the free hot breakfast. I sorely missed it when we left for Silver Gate and Gardiner. Sadly, it was continental breakfast at one and no breakfast at the other. There was also no tea or coffee or cookies at all hours in the lobby either. Most of all, we missed chatting with Geraldo (aka Mr. G) at the front desk. We would often stop in and share the day’s activities with him. He was genuinely interested in what had transpired, and had helpful ideas and suggestions for the next day. If not for him, we might have missed the ideal spot in the park to see the northern lights. We’ll be visiting Yellowstone again at some point. And we’ll definitely be staying here when we do.

It is was very nice. Good value for price. It was clean, had parking lot, washing and drying machine, swimming pool, yakuzzy. Location: takes ca 5min of driving to West Yellowstone gate. Many shops and restaurants nearby 1-5min of walking in the town. Breakfast buffet included omelette with cheese, sausages, muffins, waffles, yoghurt, oatmeal and cereals. Staff was very nice. I really liked the nature-related decoration.
