Shanghai Baoshan Temple is located on the beautiful Lianqi River in Luodian Town, Baoshan District, facing Luoxi Road to the east and Tangxi Street to the west. It is one of the several famous Buddhist temples in Shanghai. The temple was originally built during the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty. It was transformed into a temple by the gentry Tang Yuexuan. It was rebuilt in the 27th year of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty. The current area has expanded to 17.3 acres, with a building area of 6000 square meters. Baoshan Jing Temple was founded in the sixth year of Zhengde in the Ming Dynasty. It has a history of 500 years. During this period, it has undergone several changes and has been prosperous and declined several times. Only the Heavenly King Hall and the Daxiong Bao Hall are left. Since Master Dafa took charge of the temple affairs, it has been open and built. Now, within the range of seventeen acres, the halls, halls, towers, and pavilions are densely covered, which is spectacular and well-arranged. The entire temple is surrounded by trees and water, with very beautiful scenery, forming a bright landscape line of religious tourism in Shanghai.
