Baicaopan Scenic Area is located in Simatai Village, Xiayunling Township, Fangshan District, Beijing, 111 kilometers away from the city. The scenic area is 19.2 square kilometers, with a forest coverage rate of 82%, and the lowest altitude is more than 800 meters higher than the urban area. With the main peak of 2161 meters on the bank of white grass as the center, a gentle open ridge from northwest to southeast, forming the largest area in Beijing and the highest average altitude of subalpine meadow. There are more than 290 flowers and plants, more than 40 shrubs, and the flowers bloom in full bloom every year and three seasons. The scenic spot is characterized by the alpine meadow landscape of hundreds of flowers, with rich flowers and plants, wild fruit and mountain vegetables, a wide variety of trees, hundreds of flowers, especially large clove flowers. In the season of clove flowers, the fragrance of the valley flowers floats directly to dozens of miles away. The scenic area has three major scenic spots such as Kunpeng Canyon, Gaoping Baicao, Shendong Fairy Road and eight scenic spots on the mountain and eight under the mountain. The air on the white grass bank is fresh and the environment is beautiful, integrating the landscapes such as forests, stone forests, Oasis, rare plants, wildlife, and sunrise in the sea of clouds. The climate is cool and pleasant, and the summer temperature is lower than that of Beijing city. It is a good place for hot summer vacations.
