Grottoes Temple, also known as Gongyi Grottoes Temple, is located in Siwan Village, Heluo Town, Gongyi City, Henan Province, and is located on the south bank of the Yellow River, the north bank of the Yiluo River, and the Dali Mountain under the Huangling River. The Grotto Temple was built in Xiping, Northern Wei, in the past two years (517), formerly known as Xixuan Temple, the Song Dynasty was renamed "Shifang Jingtu Temple", and the Qing Dynasty was renamed Grotto Temple, which is an important Buddhist grotto in Central Plains. The sacred place for the emperors and queens of Northern Wei held Buddha ceremony. Later, Tang Taizong Li Shimin and the royal family of the Northern Song Dynasty held Buddhist events here, leaving a large number of precious statues and inscriptions. After more than 1500 years of wind and rain, there are 5 caves, 1 thousand Buddhas, 3 cliff statues, 7743 Buddha statues, 186 statues inscriptions and other inscriptions. The cave statues are meticulously carved, rich in connotation, flying, natural and vivid, and extraordinary. The composition of the post-Emperor Buddha is perfect and well preserved, fully expressing the grand scene of the Northern Wei royal family to the Grottoes Temple to worship Buddha. It is a representative work of the Northern Wei stone art. It is a national treasure and a unique art. In addition, the Grotto Temple also preserved the inscriptions of the Tang, Song, Jin, Ming and Qing dynasties, and the passage of more than 100 Tong, which described the changes of the Grotto Temple and the repairs of the past dynasties. The "Emperor Revelation Buddha" is the only stone carving in China (the other is located in Longmen Grottoes no longer exists), which has extremely high research and appreciation value. According to the age, it can be understood that Anyang Wanfogou and Gongyi Grottoes are the predecessors of Luoyang Longmen Grottoes. Raiders: 18 kilometers from Gongyi City, located directly behind the ancient city of Haoyue (abandoned commercial street), Tang Pagoda on the top of the mountain grottoes, can be directly reached by car or by bus to the entrance of the monastery. It is three kilometers away from the "Du Fu's hometown" and "Heluo Huiliu", and three places can be visited on the same day.
