The Skanderbeg Square (Albanian: Sheshi Skënderbej) is the main plaza in the centre of Tirana, Albania. The square is named after the Albanian national hero Gjergj Kastrioti Skënderbeu. The total area is about 40,000 square metres. The Skanderbeg Monument dominates the square

I came to Tirana in June 2017 and stayed at the hotel north of the square. In the afternoon, I also bought "small bunker" souvenirs from the store next to the square. Walking in the square at night, watching the night view from the hotel balcony, the square is very lively at night.

A few days before Christmas, Scandebee Square became an amusement park, where people of all ethnic groups eat, drink and have fun together.

Incredible square in the heart of the city. There are monumental buildings and sculptures, which feels surreal.
