Tianmen Mountain Cableway Review

I am impressed with the nature and scenery. There are pros and cons though.Pros: amazing scenery and wonderful nature. The Management did an excellent job in managing the crowd and traffics. There are a lot of staffs to make sure you are safe.

Tianmen Mountain Cableway is the world's longest single-line circular alpine passenger cableway, long 7,454 meters, high difference 1277 meters, one-way running time 24 minutes, can take tourists from the modern city atmosphere directly into the green embrace of the original sky garden. The Tianmen Mountain Panshan Highway, known as Tongtian Avenue, is less than 11 kilometers long, but the altitude has increased sharply from 200 meters to more than 1200 meters, as many as ninety-nine bends, which can be called the world's first highway spectacle.

There's no way I could give this less than 5 stars especially given the fact that the day I went, the weather was absolutely gorgeous! you gotta go here 10/10 would recommend! When you get to the gate, you get your ticket and are assigned to either line A or B - it's the the same route but done in opposite ways so as to avoid overcrowding (I got assigned line B). You start by taking an escalator up to get on the cable car that takes you up to about 3/4 of the mountain which has breathtaking views as well as the route to get to the "Gate to Heaven" stairs . Once there, you have the option to either climb the 999 stairs or buy a separate ticket to take the very long escalator up to the top (that runs through the mountain). With the line B ticket, once you're at the top of the stairs you go up the transmountain escalator that takes you to the top of 天门山 (Tianmen Mountain) where you can enjoy many more trails and breathtaking views (and stop for lunch!) Once you're done, head to the cable car station to bring you down but not before getting a special ride through the city itself. There's a shuttle bus that will then bring you back to the 天门山gate ...a great trip to take !!

​ The cableway is about 8km long and the horizontal gap is 1.3km. It is like a dragon on the mountain wall, and like a rainbow flying through the sky and the world. On the way, you can enjoy the panoramic view of Zhangjiajie, overlooking the pastoral scenery, and travel all the way in a magnificent picture scroll, with unlimited beautiful scenery.

Tianmen Mountain cableway is in the city center. Buy Line A, you can climb the top of the mountain more than 1,500 meters from the city center at an altitude of more than 300 meters. You can cross the clouds all the way and see the beautiful sea of clouds. It is so happy.
