Wat Saphan Hin Review

Shapanxin Temple is on the mountain, it is easy to miss if you don't pay attention. I walked past it. It was the park administrator who took me to the foot of the mountain at Shapanxin Temple. Look at the stone road on the right, that is the famous stone bridge up the mountain. During the big day, there is no legendary thrill. On the west side of the old town of Sukhothai, like the small temples next to it, it is located on the mountain to the west. The location is relatively remote, it is best to have a bicycle. A major site in the outer part of Sukhothai Historical Park, 4 kilometers away from the central area, the road can be cycled, the route is very simple. Shapanxin Temple is on a hill, it is easy to climb, all are large stone steps. It is not convenient to live in the central area of the ancient city too early for sunrise. In the afternoon, you can ride there happily in the sun. Similarly, there are 100 tickets and 10 bicycle tickets. There is a big Buddha on the mountain, solemn and quiet looking at the small city, overlooking the entire forest. The rest of the site in this area is relatively small hilly stupas. The return journey can be from the forest road to the central area of the historical park, along the forest, the feeling of a small farm, and the site of the stupa Buddha Temple that passes by from time to time.

Shapanxin is a bit far away. I have to rent a tuktuk car. Because it is on a hillside, you can overlook the entire Sukhothai Park. It is a great attraction to watch the sunrise. I go out at 5:30 and arrive before 6 o'clock. I will not miss it. The sunrise in Thailand is slow. The entire Shapanxin Buddha is illuminated by the sunrise, plated with a layer of gold, very sacred, worth seeing.

Wake up at 6 o'clock in the morning, drive to the foot of the mountain, climb the hill along a remnant of the wall, the tall Buddha looks more solemn in the moonlight. However, after the long wait, the earth is full of gold and beautiful at sunrise.

Shapanxin Temple in the western part of the historic park costs 100 baht per person and ignores baht per car. It was a considerable climb, with scaffolding around the statue, climbing a steep 300-metre passageway where you could see a standing Buddha statue, which is also thought to be the site of King Ram Harmon's white elephant worship.

This site is very famous in Sukhothai. Several major Buddhas in Southeast Asia are worth visiting. Unlike the large scale in the city, tutu cars are the cheapest. Friends say that this is a must-come attraction. It is well-deserved and worth visiting.
