Guest UserTo be honest, the room facilities are quite outdated. What's more, the setup is impractical: the hairdryer is placed too high, making it difficult to reach; there's no basket in the bathroom for dirty towels; and the fridge is completely empty. The worst part is the Wi-Fi – it's incredibly slow and constantly lags, making it impossible to even stream a show on my phone. This hotel needs to seriously improve to live up to its five-star rating. A major tourist city shouldn't have five-star hotels like this! Hope they improve!

Guest UserI've always had a good impression of Conrad, but the service at Conrad Xiamen this time was really disappointing. I checked in on August 5th and 7th. On the 6th, I pressed the 'do not disturb' button. In the afternoon, I received a call asking when I'd like my room cleaned. I gave them a time, and then shortly after, I got another call asking the same thing. I don't understand the point of the 'do not disturb' sign or the first call. Around 8 PM, a staff member brought me a complimentary sweet soup, and when I asked why I hadn't received it the night before, she said they were too busy. That evening, I complained to the front desk. The next day, when I checked out, the lobby manager, Ms. Shen (2459), told me that as a resolution, they would refund a small portion of my room fee and waive the dining expenses during my stay. I then left the hotel. On the way, I received a call from Trip.com, saying that for the hotel to refund a small part of the room fee, I would need to cancel my order, which meant I wouldn't be able to leave a review. I disagreed. Afterwards, as shown in picture two, Ms. Shen called me three more times. There was no apology or intention to improve service; she just wanted me to compromise. In the last call, she even started by saying that my 2000 deposit hadn't been refunded, trying to threaten me into compromising and canceling the order. She also constantly interrupted me. I told her I would complain about her as well and hoped someone else would respond to my two complaints. On the evening of August 8th, as shown in picture three, a woman claiming to be from customer relations called. I was unable to take the call at the time, and she promised to call me back the next day. Now it's the third day, and I still haven't received a call. I feel that the hotel has no sincerity or intention to resolve the issue, which is why I'm writing this negative review.
Separately, the Hainanese chicken rice from room service was also very bad. The chicken was dry and fishy, and even the rice tasted like it was from yesterday. At the hotel's Michelin-recommended Chinese restaurant, Luchenxuan (2026), I ordered a Boston lobster mapo tofu. It wasn't spicy, numbing, fresh, or fragrant; it was bland and had a beany taste. When the waiter asked for my feedback at checkout, they immediately waived the charge for that dish. At least the restaurant service was acceptable, but the service from the front desk and customer relations department is completely unworthy of a five-star hotel.

Guest UserGreat location, making it easy to get around. It's a 3-minute walk to Zhongshan Road, the Eighth Market, the ferry terminal, and Heping Wharf. Xiamen University's Baicheng Beach is just two bus stops away. The surrounding area is full of snack streets. The room was clean and tidy, with smart voice control (Xiao Du system), and free access to a washing machine and gym.

Guest UserThe housekeepers were all very warm, polite, and accommodating. They even greeted me proactively when I met them before heading out. The room service staff were also incredibly thoughtful; when I wasn't feeling well and asked for a cup of warm water, they brought me a whole pot. The only downside was the air conditioning, which I wasn't happy with at all, as it was very, very slow to adjust the temperature. The view was fantastic, and I really appreciated that my room was ready early for check-in.

My stay was very satisfying. The hotel has a grand and clean environment, and its location is very convenient for getting around. All the room amenities were in good working order. The buffet breakfast was delicious and offered a wide variety of choices. I must especially commend Kisu and Susie for their incredibly patient service. They thoughtfully helped me with my travel route inquiries and adjusted my requests with such meticulousness and warmth, never being perfunctory with guests. I felt very comfortable and secure during my stay, and I highly recommend this hotel.

Guest UserAn ideal choice for families with young children, with impeccable attention to detail and unbeatable convenience!
This stay truly exceeded our expectations! First off, the room was incredibly spacious. What impressed me most was the separate wet and dry areas in the bathroom and bedroom – after putting the baby to sleep at night, we could comfortably wash up and pack our bags without worrying about disturbing them. This design is so thoughtful for families with kids.
The hotel amenities are also quite comprehensive. Not only is there a bathtub, but also a private pool, and our child absolutely loved playing in the water. Even better, the hotel is super close to the beach, just a few minutes' walk away. Taking the kids to explore the beach and dig in the sand was incredibly convenient, and going back and forth multiple times a day was no problem at all. Breakfast was also plentiful and delicious, satisfying both adults and children. All in all, it was an impeccable and delightful trip. Highly recommended with five stars, we'll definitely be back!

The hotel boasts an excellent location with expansive sea views, and the floor-to-ceiling windows in the sea-view rooms offer breathtaking scenery. The rooms are clean and tidy, with comfortable bedding and complete bathroom facilities. The service is warm and attentive, with prompt front desk responses. Breakfast is rich and features local Fujian (Min-nan) specialties. The accompanying pool and gym facilities are comprehensive, offering great value for money. The surrounding area is quiet, and transportation is convenient, making it suitable for both leisure and business stays. Overall, the experience was satisfying and highly recommended.

Anonymous UserThe hotel's location is a bit far from the attractions, but since we were driving, it wasn't a big issue. There aren't any shopping areas within walking distance; you have to walk a bit to find some hustle and bustle. The room was spacious, and they kindly upgraded us to a sea-view room, which had a fantastic view. The only thing I have to complain about is the swimming pool. It felt like it was outsourced and completely lacked the service you'd expect from a star-rated hotel. Every shower stall reeked of urine, and after I told the attendant, she just sprayed some air freshener. The towels weren't laid out either; when I asked, the attendant told me to go find them myself in the utility room. The hairdryer's outlet also looked quite unsafe. This is a big deduction of points.

We loved this hotel. Got a wonderful upgraded suite with a great sea view on the 22nd. floor. Liked the hotel so much we stayed an extra day. Breakfast lots of choice and great coffee. Staff service is exceptional. Short stroll to the Gulangyu island ferry. I recommend the tram ride around the island. Only a few blocks walk to a main street with bakeries and small restaurants as well. Would definitely stay here again
