Hampton by Hilton Zhangjiajie Tianmen Mountain

Our stay at Hilton Garden Inn for this trip to Zhangjiajie was excellent. The location is superb, very close to Tianmen Mountain, just a 5-minute walk to the cable car station, which made getting to the scenic area incredibly convenient. The room was clean and well-equipped with all sorts of amenities, making for a very comfortable stay. The hotel staff were friendly and patient, whether during check-in or when answering our questions. They even brought us snacks like oatmeal in the evening. The buffet breakfast offered a wide variety, including both Western and Chinese options, as well as local rice noodles, ensuring we were well-fed before heading out to explore. Overall, the value for money is great, and staying here made our trip worry-free. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Zhangjiajie.

The hotel's front desk staff were very welcoming, and the auntie at the restaurant was incredibly friendly too. She came over to ask if the food was to my liking and even proactively offered wet wipes. The breakfast selection was also quite extensive. The hotel is very close to the Tianmen Mountain cable car station.

Service: Absolutely fantastic. Every staff member we encountered at the hotel was polite and attentive to guests' needs. They even helped us dry and fold our laundry. Surroundings: Tianmen Mountain is right across the street, just a short walk away. Very convenient. Cleanliness: The hotel might be a bit older, and some areas show a bit of wear, but the cleaning staff did an excellent job; it was spotless. The shower had great water pressure and drained well. Food & Beverage: You can take as much bottled water as you like. They also offer free snacks and iced water. The rice noodles at the breakfast buffet were very fresh, and there was a wide selection of drinks. Highly recommend.

Our stay was great! We got a room upgrade, and when we were late for breakfast, they proactively offered us take-out boxes so we could pack some food for our child. On a side note, it's really sad to see how much food people waste. Every time I eat breakfast at Hampton, I see piles of fruit and dessert plates still full after people leave. Just because you've paid doesn't mean you should waste food; it actually looks really bad. The hotel is conveniently located opposite the Tianmen Mountain Cableway. However, there's some ongoing renovation in the area, and even though we were on the 14th floor, we could still hear car horns from the street in the morning. It was a bit noisy for light sleepers. I'd recommend requesting a room on the other side of the hotel. I didn't take any photos of the hotel, but there's an evening show at the nearby Dayong Ancient City worth checking out.
