FOGGY VALLEY

We really enjoyed our stay at Foggy Valley. It’s a peaceful, quiet retreat with beautiful traditional Chinese architecture, and the free laundry service was a lifesaver after the airline misplaced our luggage. My only suggestion would be to freshen up the exterior of the buildings that aren’t used as guest rooms, so the entire complex feels as charming as the main areas.

Such a great place! ❤️ The staff is absolutely amazing. Very customer-oriented, attentive, and friendly. The hotel itself is beautiful, stylish, and has a great atmosphere. Another big plus is the convenient location. It’s easy to get to the most popular attractions. I definitely recommend this hotel 100%! ✨

The place is beautiful the staff try and help with the everything. If you are staying in a 2x double bed room the ‘privacy glass’ is a bit see through and it’s uncomfortable to shower with others there but it’s manageable. The water is either very hot or very cold at times. The reception ask if you would like your room cleaned everytime before leaving. We always said yes but they only changed the bed sheet at the end of our 7 day stay. The park is about 10 minutes by car and very convenient which is cheap by taxi. Overall the staff is work hard and it’s worth the money spent

We spent just one night at Foggy Valley, but that was enough time to fall in love with this place! The room was very spacious, and the view from the window was simply magnificent. You can tell that the owners and staff paid great attention to quality — everything is made for comfortable sleep and a proper rest. The atmosphere in the room invites you to relax and take your time. I would especially like to mention the staff. The team is simply superb! All the employees speak excellent English and are ready to offer any support, handling any questions with a smile and genuine care. A special thank you goes to the girl who organized an unforgettable walk for us and hosted a tea ceremony. It was incredibly warm and heartfelt — it's moments like these that make a holiday truly special! Another huge plus is that you can order massage services to your room. After a long flight, it was exactly what we needed — our bodies were so grateful! The breakfast is excellent and is served in a very picturesque spot, which charges you with energy for the whole day. The hotel also has a restaurant with a very large and varied menu — we had dinner there, and the food was top-notch, everything was delicious. The hotel grounds are a work of art in themselves. It's especially beautiful in the evening when the lights come on. You can feel the tremendous attention to detail that adds even more charm and beauty to this place. Even in just one night, Foggy Valley gave us so many impressions. We will definitely come back again to enjoy this place for longer! We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel, and the organization and service were simply unbeatable. From the very beginning, everything was taken care of perfectly. We were picked up from the train station by a private driver, and the hotel supported us extensively with planning our route through Zhangjiajie National Park. They arranged all the tickets and transfers for us, which made the whole experience incredibly easy and stress-free. When we wanted to visit Tianmen Mountain National Park for a day, the hotel once again recommended the best route for us and took care of booking the tickets. All of the reception staff spoke really good English, which made communication very easy throughout our stay. The hotel itself is beautiful, and there were always new little places to discover around the property. It is a particularly peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, making it the perfect place to relax after a day of exploring. Our room was very spacious and had everything we could have wished for. The only small downside was that the mountain view was somewhat limited by the bamboo privacy screen. The breakfast was also excellent, with a great variety of options to suit every taste, ranging from classic Chinese dishes to Western breakfast favorites. All in all, we had a fantastic stay and would happily come back again. Highly recommended!

We had a truly wonderful stay at Foggy Valley. The hotel delivers a genuine 5‑star experience with outstanding service. Every staff member was warm, friendly, and eager to help. The rooms were spotless and offered breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anyone planning a trip to Zhangjiajie.

I don’t even know what exactly is the best thing about this place, but I’ll go with the extreme friendliness, hospitality, and help from the wonderful hotel team. We felt truly welcome, like we were visiting relatives. Everything else was a huge plus: comfortable transfers, incredible views all around, spacious and clean rooms, cozy beds, good showers with hot water, tasty and varied breakfasts, great food at the restaurant for reasonable money, nice grounds to walk around, and plenty of cat neighbors :) We came as a family with a child, and everyone loved it.

Hu was super friendly, nice, and made us felt at home. The cats and dog (named Dudu) were super cute and welcoming. Food was amazing as well. 100% recommend!!
