The Bund 33, former British Consulate, contains the oldest history and culture of the Bund. Designed by British Rothman and Beyce, the two-story brick and wooden structure. Considering the climate characteristics of Shanghai, it fully absorbs the architectural style similar to the "East Indian" style, and there are wide shade promenades on the ground floor and the second floor.

The overall shape of the building is designed in the British Renaissance style, with four slopes on the roof, using Chinese butterfly tiles, and the entire building plane is similar to square. Due to the low terrain of the Bund, a higher platform is designed, and there is a five-hole coupon gallery on the ground floor.

There are two Renaissance-style buildings in the green lawn of the Bund source, known as the Bund source number one, which was once closed to the public and has now been opened to the public. The earliest here is the British Consulate, the earliest foreign consulate in Shanghai, the building is designed by the British Rothman and Beys, the overall shape of the building is rich in British Renaissance style, the roof is four slopes, and it is also accompanied by Roman columns. And there are some "East Indian" designs. However, now you can only visit the garden, the interior is not open to the outside world, I believe that with the acceleration of the opening of Shanghai's historical buildings, the interior will be as comprehensive as the public opening like "Wang Xietang Qianyan in the old time, flying into the ordinary people's home."
