Washington, the mythical nation under the windowpanes, has always been the political center, the shopping center for tourists, and besides, many Roman churches in Washington have always attracted tourists from all over the country, and I am one of them. This time, I came to the Temple of the National Pilgrimage site of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin with my friends to see what the beautiful window described in the book was like. The Temple of the Immaculate Conception State Pilgrimage is known locally as the Upper Church, the famous Roman Catholic Pontifical Temple in the Washington area and the country's pilgrimage site. It is also the largest Catholic Church in the United States and the tallest building in Washington. So much of it is also its attraction. The church as a whole is very standard New Byzantine style, mainly serving the Catholic Church Conference in the United States and nearby universities. The interior is somewhat Greek style, the roof is decorated with mosaic-style domes, a bit like the St. Mark's Cathedral that I saw in Venice before, but it is bigger and higher here. There are many artworks in the temple, and favorites are rainbow-colored arches and very large ceramic medals on the ceiling. In addition to the artwork, the most beautiful here is the church's unique flower window, the sun shines in, as if all the colorful mosaics fall on the ground, feeling a unique touch of romance. Tips: The Temple of the Untarded Start of the National Pilgrimage is located on Washington, Michigan Avenue. It is only open from 7 am to 7 pm Wednesday to Sunday. The specific opening hours can be called to say hello in advance. Tel: 202 526 8300
