The factory area of Manchester's Old Town during the First Industrial Revolution was specially protected and preserved as an industrial heritage protection and display area in order to preserve the industrial economic strength and glory of the UK in the last century. A large area, retaining old stations, locomotive factories, textile machinery, processing machinery, and wax statues to simulate the industrial activities of the time. Many old objects are well preserved and become a memorial to the glory of British industry.

The museum is free to enter and I used to love coming here as a child. I came back with my own children today. What we saw today was quite a disappointment.I booked easily online and with a minor wait at the doors we got in very smoothly. As we had also wanted to visit the Operation Ouch later. And thinking we would need time to explore the whole museum we booked it for mid afternoon.

It rained for a day today but I went to the Science and Industry Museum first, saw the machines of the Industrial Revolution, and the real textile machines operating. Through these flying cotton wool, it seemed to see Mr. Thornton's work.

Me and a friend visited The Science and Industry Museum and we had a really great time! :) We were particularly impressed with the Alan Turing (RIP) Computer Science Exhibition and The Sun / Space Exhibition etc. :) The only downside was the really heavy traffic levels from Anglesey to Manchester and back, which made us both feel really tired! :/ But overall this is a really great Museum, in a really great city, and Manchester was indeed the world's first industrialised city. Not to be missed! Enjoy! :)

This science and industry museum is a bit like Beijing's 798, not a whole pavilion, but according to the main part of many branches, concentrated in one area. The first pavilion we entered was all classic cars and gray machines; The second pavilion, which displays basic science, has a good interactive performance for children. It is full of a lot of basic knowledge, such as light reflection, sound transmission, etc.

The Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester was built shortly after it was established in 2000, and there are still many collections, many of which are the hallmarks of the modern industrial revolution, such as generators, etc., which are really great.
