San Francisco Downtown San Francisco|2.09km from city center
The hotel where the conference was held, but there was a bug between the agent and the hotel. One room could not be checked in. After a long communication, the front desk service attitude was not very good, and the back-end phone could not be reached. Fortunately, it was well negotiated with Ctrip.
The room is relatively small and the settings are relatively old. After all, it is a century-old hotel. The laundry is all from Le Labo, but it is not bad.
The breakfast restaurant is not a buffet, and the introduction is incorrect. The ordering and serving are very slow, maybe it is a sense of relaxation.
The location of the hotel is good, but it is very close to the tram route, and the Inception camera is one or two blocks away.From€258

San Francisco Downtown San Francisco|1.91km from city center
The location is absolutely superb, right in the heart of the city. Union Square is just a right turn out of the hotel entrance, and the cable car terminus is only a few minutes' walk away. Dining options are abundant and convenient nearby, and Chinatown is also within easy walking distance.
Overall, the hotel is pretty decent. The only downsides were the slightly small room and weak shower pressure. I also paid an extra $20 for early check-in, even though it was already past 12 PM. Guests staying at the hotel receive discount vouchers for dining at the hotel restaurant, which was a nice perk.
The room offered an unbeatable view. Overall, it's worth recommending.From€170

South of Market San Francisco|1.51km from city center
- Location was excellent, close to Powell Street station (BART ride to the airport in ca. 40 mins.) All connections a travel to SF would want: Street Car, Bus, CableCar, BART, Metro.. in walking distance.
- People at the reception are very kind.
- Cleanliness was ok, but could be improved for a hotel of this price (one handle was greasy).
-Facilities were also ok. The room layout was nice but nothing special. The pool was very nice, so was the gym. Dining options could be better. Also dining is quite expensive for what you get. Friendlyness of the staff in dining area was ok, but not as great as at reception.
-Overall: recommended for a business traveller who need not worry about the price; for tourists (esp. families) to SF there are probably better options.From€149

I chose the Ritz-Carlton for both the start and end of my West Coast road trip, and it truly lives up to its five-star-plus reputation: the environment, the bedding, and the service. Even the complimentary bottled water tasted better than what you'd buy at the supermarket.From€442

The location of hotel is good. Free re-fillable water and free morning coffee are very impressive, you can definitely save a lot of money in the breakfast. A glass of complimentary house wine is bonus. The room quality is fair and clean but dont expect too much. The staff is friendly.Great195 Reviews

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Nikko San Francisco! From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. The staff made me feel genuinely welcome—special thanks to the front desk team for their hospitality and efficiency during check-in and check-out. The room was spotless, modern, and incredibly comfortable, with a plush bed and thoughtful touches like soft robes and quality toiletries. I especially appreciated the quiet environment—it felt like a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city. The location is fantastic—just steps away from Union Square and public transport, which made exploring San Francisco very convenient. I also enjoyed the hotel amenities, including the indoor pool and spacious gym. Overall, Hotel Nikko exceeded my expectations in every way. I would absolutely return and highly recommend it to anyone visiting San Francisco for either business.From€200

Facilities: Everything you need is there. The self-service water dispenser was also quite pleasant.
However, there's no private parking. Public parking nearby costs $26 for 12 hours, with a $35 cap after that.
Breakfast: Not buffet style, self-service menu. If you book through Ctrip including breakfast, you can choose one option. I recommend the berry toast; it's delicious.
Cleanliness and service are good. Although there are homeless people nearby, overall it's acceptable. I would recommend it.From€216

The location is quite convenient, right across from Chinatown, so if you like Chinese food, you'll have plenty of options. The environment is pretty average and can't compare to the facilities and service levels of hotels in Asia. It's within walking distance of the subway station, and San Francisco feels quite safe overall.From€131

Fisherman's Wharf San Francisco|3.46km from city center
This week we stayed at Hyatt House San Jose Airport, Hyatt Centric Fishermans Wharf and Hyatt House Santa Clara
I am very satisfied with San Jose Airport and Santa Clara, but Fishermans Wharf is the only thing that makes me angry and I feel I have to write a special review to reflect it.
The angry part is about the service, and the reasons for dissatisfaction are as follows:
1. When I checked in that day, they said they were still cleaning and asked me if I wanted to change rooms. I decided to wait and go out for a walk. As a result, when I came back the second time, they said there were no rooms and forced me to accept the change from the original king-size double bed to two single beds.
2. The room I booked comes with two breakfasts, but I didn't get any meal coupons when I checked in. When I returned to my room, I called the front desk and they told me that they forgot to give it to me and asked me to go down and get it. When I went to get it, I was only given a meal voucher for one person. When I asked about it, they asked me if I was staying for only one night. After I reflected that my purchase included a meal voucher for two, he casually said Fine to me, as if he was giving me alms?
3. When I checked out of each room, I asked the front desk to give me a receipt. At Hyatt House San Jose Airport, they patiently explained to me that I had to get a receipt from Trip.com because I booked the room through a third-party website. But when I arrived at Fishermans Wharf, they just told me impatiently that they only had a blank receipt and refused to talk to me anymore. When I asked if it was because I booked through trip, the customer interrupted me and said just print a blank receipt for me. Then he gave me a blank receipt and told me to leave.
This is really the worst accommodation experience I have ever had in my life, especially for a Hyatt hotel. The front desk staff at the other two hotels were very polite and patient. There is really no comparison and no harm.
I strongly suggest that Fishermans Wharf replace the front desk staff and find someone more enthusiastic to serve the front desk, otherwise it will only continue to ruin your reputation.
The front desk staff I'm talking about here include the night shift on the night I checked in and the morning shift the next day, they were all terrible!From€164

On my self-guided trip to San Francisco, I had pre-booked this hotel through Ctrip. The location is excellent, with a cable car stop right outside the door that serves all three lines. I'd recommend walking a short distance past Union Square to the Powell Street cable car turnaround to purchase the $15 day pass there, as it's quite a good deal. Breakfast wasn't included with my reservation, but Chinatown is just a walk away, offering plenty of Cantonese dining options. The hotel room itself was decent. The only downside was that one of the three elevators was consistently out of service, leading to long waits during peak hours. The elevators are quite old, and the jolt and shudder every time they stopped on a floor often left guests inside exchanging exasperated smiles.

The location is super convenient, right across from Union Square. The room isn't huge but it's enough, though the central AC is old and only goes up to 68°F. Late February in SF is quite cold, and I ended up catching a cold. I had to wear a light down jacket and pile on blankets. The staff were all very polite, and luggage storage was free. Housekeeping cleaned the room daily. Heading east from the hotel, the main cable car line is easily accessible. I stayed for five days, using two lines back and forth, and bought two 3-day Muni passes. It served as both my commute and a way to explore all the attractions along the way. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay. There are far fewer homeless people to the east of the hotel; I wouldn't recommend heading west. Overall, the value for money in this area is quite high!

We found Cow Hollow Inn and Suites about 20 years ago. It has become our favorite place to stay in the City. It is always very clean, the staff is always helpful, the parking is free and it is in one of the best locations in the City. Wonderful and fun restaurants and bars along Chestnut Street. Perfect for morning walks to the Palace of Fine Arts and the Marina Green. And, the adjacent restaurant, Home Plate is very good and convenient for breakfast. The recent remodel makes it even better!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Holiday Inn San Francisco Golden Gateway. Among all the Holiday Inn hotels we’ve stayed at, this is definitely one of the best.
The location is very convenient. Within a few minutes’ walk, we could easily get fresh groceries at Whole Foods Market, which was a big plus. The hotel’s breakfast also offers a wide selection of food, making it a great way to start the day.
Public transport is another highlight — buses are easily accessible on foot, which makes the whole city feel much closer and very convenient to explore from this hotel.
Our room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. We especially appreciated the higher-floor views of the city. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.
Overall, this hotel offers excellent value for money in San Francisco. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

The hotel rooms are newly renovated and are clean. The free parking at the hotel saves a lot of parking fees for self-driving. We checked out the next day and parked the car at the hotel. After the tour, we drove to the next city. When checking in, the Indian guy at the front desk played a Chinese note on the computer, and there was also a Chinese paper version of the note and the itinerary for San Francisco for you, which felt very considerate.

Great value for money! If you're traveling solo in San Francisco and want to avoid hostels, this is a fantastic option. Check-in is strictly after 3 PM, and check-out is by 11 AM, but they didn't rush me even though I was a little late checking out. It's located in a quiet neighborhood.

The hotel is on a very good location. Building is dated and shows signs of its age. Place is kept clean by the friendly staff. There’s not much by way of amenities but it serves well to sleep in after a full day of walking. Breakfast is free but continental and the selection is very limited. Not bad to start with. It’s free. I wouldn’t mind staying here again.

The hygiene and facilities were just okay. The dorm room wasn't well-ventilated and had a strange odor, and the mattress had stains. The only upside was the really good location, very close to Union Square. For this price in downtown San Francisco, you can't really ask for more. There's no dedicated parking, but there are street parking spots right outside, and it's also very close to the cable car route. Plus, the hostel itself organizes some activities if you're interested in joining.
