The hotel is in a good location, just in the small town on Devon Lake. The room standard is 16 square meters, but it feels like it should be more than 20 square meters. Clean and hygienic. The service attitude is good, we arrived early, and the front desk gave the room without saying a word. The restaurant in the hotel is also very good and the dishes are delicious. Some local elderly people say that they have been eating in the restaurant for more than 20 years.

Stayed over for one night wish we could have stayed longer, we arrived by motorbike and the staff were more than helpful with parking arrangements ( there’s ample and it’s secure ) Our room had everything we needed plus an amazing view. Every member of staff we met were friendly. We ate in the bar , scotch egg and pork pie are really good ! Took a whisky back to our room and admired the view. Our breakfast was really lovely, we took our tea in to the garden and got to say hats off to the gardener there because it’s so well looked after. Didn’t get to try out the pool but we will next time. Thanks for making this a very relaxing stay we will be back.

I could not get through on the phone so I had to book online. I emailed to say I was single. I booked as a single person and was told there were no single rooms and not informed that there were doubles with single occupancy. It was not very busy. I would have liked to pay for single occupancy. I paid £190 per night. I came to the area for a funeral and did not have time to shop around. There was no compassion about not having the chance to discuss single occupancy for somebody who was clearly upset about the reason for the visit. I suggest anyone who comes to the area shop around for elsewhere. This hotel is poor value for money. Apart from shabby surroundings, which could have been attended to pre-pandemic (I phoned the manager to complain and the pandemic was blamed for lack of tradesmen to decorate), the room was only OK. The bed was far too high, and creaked. Tea and coffee OK, but for the luxury priced there could have been a choice of herbal teas etc. The spotlight outside the hotel shone straight at the front where my roo was located - blindingly bright, and a complete block on the natural surroundings. Front entrance not well marked, and, like to main corridor and stairs, shabby and not welcoming.

Booked a two night stay at the Keswick Park Hotel. On arrival, although it does state that there is free on site parking, there were no spaces available as the car park can only fit about 4 cars in it. Ended up parking 3 streets away! Think parking in Keswick in general is an issue, must be a nightmare in peak season. It does state in the room that permits are given out by the hotel for the nearby public car park but this is only in peak season times. Room we booked was Executive room with mountain view. Room itself was nice, very spacious and indeed had a lovely view. Very musty smell in room due to old furniture. Wall paper hanging off the ceiling, could be easily rectified. Wall power socket not secure. Bathroom was large but chrome fittings on the bath could do with a revamp. As well as the shower, worked but could do with an upgrade as old. Just small minor touches could be made to make the room a bit better considering the tariff that is charged for the room. Breakfast was lovely. Plenty of choice from both the cold buffet and hot menu. Staff were friendly. Hotel itself is ideally situated as only about 5 minute walk from the centre of Keswick itself, where there are plenty of shops, restaurants and bars. Would have left 5 star rating if not for the parking issues and minor adjustments needed in the room.
