The hotel is in a good location, not in the downtown area, but the bus is very convenient. There is a bus directly to the beach. You can visit the Britannia. The landlord's wife also has a discount card. The bus to the city is also very convenient, and it is very convenient to go directly to Princes Street and museums. The host is from Hong Kong. The wife is very beautiful. She speaks Mandarin and speaks softly. She is super young. The environment is quiet, and there is a large Tesco supermarket not far from the east. Edinburgh is beautiful and you can live here again.

The hotel is perfectly situated near the theatre making it easy to access on foot. My room was spotless and the bed was so comfortable, I had a great night's sleep. From the moment I arrived, the staff were incredibly helpful, empathetic and understanding as ended up being a solo guest due to unforeseen circumstances and going out of their way to accommodate needs . Food was lovely and staff so attentive . I would recommend and will go back

The hotel is perfectly situated right on the Royal Mile – the location is absolutely superb! It's just an 8-minute walk from the train station. Be aware that there are some steps along the route, which might be a bit of a workout if you're carrying heavy suitcases. It's a very family-friendly hotel. The bedroom has a large bed, and the living room sofa converts into a double bed, comfortably accommodating two adults and two children. Our room was incredibly clean, newly renovated, and surprisingly quiet. Even though the Royal Mile is bustling with street performers and activities, we couldn't hear any noise from our room at all. Having amenities like a washing machine and oven in the room was a huge plus. Just a note: toothpaste, toothbrushes, and slippers aren't provided as standard. We brought our own dental kit, so we only needed to ask the front desk for slippers. Breakfast is served à la carte; you order what you like, and top-ups are available if you're still hungry. Edinburgh Castle is a mere 5-minute walk to the right from the hotel's entrance, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby – incredibly convenient!

The hospitality was top-notch, especially in the F&B department. A waitress from Asia (likely Nepal) was exceptionally professional and friendly. We arrived at 8 AM and a lovely Eastern European lady at reception warmly welcomed us and allowed us to check in immediately, saving us the hassle of storing luggage and having nowhere to go. A gentleman in a kilt even helped carry our bags to the room. Beyond the daily cleaning, the housekeeping staff thoughtfully organized all our small items, neatly tying up messy charging cables. The breakfast was lavish and incredibly delicious [strong][strong][strong]! It's worth noting that Room 522 is where J.K. Rowling stayed while writing Harry Potter. It features a unique pink-purple door, distinct from the other white and green ones, and an owl-shaped door knocker, adding a special charm to the entire hotel. Many Harry Potter fans even pay a hefty sum to stay in Room 522 [grin][grin][grin]!

I visited at the end of March, and Edinburgh was still quite cold, especially with the strong winds. The hostel's location is excellent, right by the church on the Royal Mile, making it easy to walk to all the other famous attractions. The room was very clean, and even though I booked a mixed dorm, I was kindly placed in an all-female room. The bed was clean, with a USB charging port, a privacy curtain, a lockable locker, and a shoe cabinet. The communal bathrooms and toilets were spacious, with each shower stall having a separate wet and dry area, plus a hairdryer. I highly recommend having breakfast at the hostel; the waffle I ordered was huge, and guests get a discount. Overall, it was a fantastic experience!

The room was very quiet, and the living room sofa converts into a bed. All the appliances were high-end brands like Dyson and Smeg. The only downside was the lack of on-site parking. There's an NCP car park under the bridge a bit further down, costing around £25 per night. The hotel is very close to the castle, about a 5-minute walk, and about 10 minutes from the city center. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, which is very convenient.

The only minor complaint is that there's ongoing renovation work on the building behind, and we were assigned a second-floor room facing that side. There was a possibility of being woken up by noise every morning. Next time I stay, I'll definitely request a high-floor room with a view of the hill.

Both being Premier Inns, the Edinburgh branch has significantly better facilities than the London one. Since there weren't any other options when booking, I had to choose one with a walk-in bathroom – and wow, that bathroom was the size of the entire room at the London one! Breakfast was served in a separate outdoor restaurant; the room was spacious, with a wide variety of choices and delicious food. While the London Premier Inn is already quite good, the Edinburgh Premier Inn is truly amazing! This is the difference between the London and non-London areas. Plus, it's not far from any of the major attractions; everything is within walking distance.

The only thing that was good about this hotel was the location- the most central. Everything else was pretty bad. I have requested a room with a nice view for our special occasion but was given a room with the view of the industrial back wall. Called the manager and he came and apologised and said there were no other rooms left. The room itself was outdated, looked like a hostel rather than a hotel. We have travelled a lot but this was the worst hotel we have stayed in. Our special occasion was ruined. The room was so tiny that it was difficult to squeeze a suitcase between the bed and the wall. The TV had no internet connected. There was no mini fridge. The bathroom entry door was a squeeze. The toilet was so close to the wall that you would be pushed into a wall. No toilet brush either. For the expensive price paid they didn’t even give us a bottle of water or a biscuit. The restaurant is under refurbishment this time and they provide tea/coffee and pastries on level 3 for breakfast free. There is a limited expensive menu to order from reception to your room if you need. The luggage storage facility is limited. When checking out many people were told there was no more room for the luggage storage and those people had to go and look for the pricey luggage storage outside. We met some people also complaining about the hotel. Will never come back to this hotel again.
