The views are unbeatable: The lobby and pool face the Mahaweli River directly. Sitting by the river in the evening with a drink, watching the sunset, was absolutely the highlight of my entire Kandy trip. The pool is a definite plus: That infinity-edge pool stretching out to the river is incredibly photogenic, and the water is very clean, making for a wonderfully comfortable swim. Great dining: Both the breakfast and dinner buffets offered a wide variety of dishes, including local specialties and Western options. The freshly made omelets and Sri Lankan curries prepared by the chef were delicious. I even tried a local Sri Lankan delicacy, a fried egg 🍳, which was quite tasty.

The view is very good, the environment is OK, the building is very distinctive, including the decoration of the room, but the worst thing is that the hygiene is very worrying, the door is a bit old, the refrigerator is so dirty that you can't get it off, and there are stains under the toilet seat There were urine stains and hair on the bed. The bed was two beds pushed together and it was uncomfortable to sleep on. The quilt was a sheet and was too tight to pull out. It was very uncomfortable to sleep on. Fortunately, there was a blanket in the cabinet to cover it with. Regarding the food, it’s not good either.

A wonderful stay with absolutely breathtaking views. Wherever you look, you’re surrounded by rolling mountains, and the grounds are beautiful with lots of native wildlife; you really feel at one with nature. The service was exceptional throughout. All staff were attentive, kind, and genuinely eager to help. A special mention to the reception team, especially Jenovia, who was incredibly friendly and helpful, showing us around and making us feel very welcome from the start. The hotel is also very family-friendly, with a small play park and thoughtful touches like towel animals from housekeeping (Ravi) that made our little girl’s day. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice, including both Western and Sri Lankan options. A few very small improvements (such as having bacon readily available, colder milk at breakfast, and ice with poolside drinks) would make the experience truly five-star, but these are minor details. Rooms were clean and comfortable with all amenities provided, and overall the level of service really stood out. If you’re looking for stunning views, a peaceful setting, and excellent hospitality, this is a fantastic choice and one I’d happily recommend.

Absolutely stunning, giant compound with an extensive history! They even offer a history walking tour but unfortunately there weren’t enough people signed up to make the tour happen. If you’re looking for a “colonial” stay, this is a great place. I recommend just walking around to see it for yourself. It’s also right on Kandy Lake, so it’s a nice walk (and not too far from the Kandyan Culture Center and the Sacred Tooth Temple Meals were good, but service sometimes is a little messy. Buffet was missing things like tongs or a cloth over the tray handles (which were hot to touch), but there’s a lot of servers walking around so I’m sure they’ll be able to do double-checks on this

Kangti is a mountain city, and the houses are basically built on the mountain. This hotel is actually like a resort, by the river, there are no attractions and no residents next to it. The river is flowing rapidly, the flowers are fragrant, and the sound is quite lively. At night, the hotel is dark and dark, and find a small supermarket to buy something at least three kilometers away. The accommodation building seems to be three or four floors. There is a small swimming pool in the garden. Sitting on the balcony, the eyes are full of green mountain and garden views. Come out early in the morning and take a mobile phone to take a photo of 20 different flowers! The fly in the ointment is that the facilities in the room are old.

It is a beautiful hotel with a beautiful view. However, walls are thin and you can heard a lot of noise. It is not easy to get there because it is located almost in the top of the mountain. Another good thing is that the restaurant closes at 10pm and food is good and cheap. We didn’t find the swimming pool since we stayed just one night. It was a nice stay by the way and breakfast was good. PD: We booked double room that it is supposed to have a king/queen bed but it was two individual beds put together.

The front desk staff were friendly, welcoming, and professional; they kindly assisted me with ticket booking and provided useful local information. Room cleanliness was better than average. The hotel also offers on-site laundry services at reasonable rates, which was very convenient. The only downside is that there is no elevator from the lobby to the first floor, so I had to carry my luggage up one floor before accessing the elevator to my room.

First of all, breakfast comes with curry or toast fruit bread. The location is quite far from Lake Candy, so it's uncomfortable, but it's good to feel the local culture. The facilities are good because the gym and swimming pool are well maintained. In particular, there were few people using the swimming pool and gym, so I wanted to do it alone. The staff were all friendly and it was so nice, but when the two Chinese came to sightseeing as a group and stayed, it was too noisy and annoying. The biggest advantage of this dormitory is that Muslims or Sri Lankans often get married here, so if you're lucky, you can see them getting married. I was lucky to see Muslims and Sri Lankans getting married.
