I was very disappointed with our stay at this hotel. Unfortunately, we encountered a few not very friendly staff at the reception. They didn’t do anything in particular that we would consider rude - but they just had a cold attitude. Some of their staff seem to have treated other guests a little differently for instance walking them to the lift and giving them more information about the hotel. This really impacted our experience at the hotel. However, I must say many of their staff were amazing, just a handful that were very cold and dismissive and this is not the level of hospitality you would expect from such a renowned hotel. The room also looked and felt quite different than what is shown on trip.com and their official website. I would still highly recommend this hotel if you’re visiting Lyon!

If you spend the night in this city, it's a great hotel. The location is very good, the surroundings are very quiet, and there are very good restaurants nearby. If you had stayed here, you would not have chosen another hotel.

This is a five-star hotel in a classic style, converted from an old building. Definitely not the kind of hotel used in China. In the center of the old town of Lyon, there are various stores on the doorstep, and a stylish chocolate shop diagonally opposite, and the famous Rose Tower attractions across the alley next to the hotel. The interior decoration of the hotel is also old-fashioned, the door is opened with a key and no card is needed. The room was beautiful and welcoming, the toilet and shower room were separated. There is also a spa on the top floor. We went to live in Lyon on the day of the annual Lyon Festival of Lights, and on the weekend, the room price doubled several times than usual. It's easy to miss without paying attention. If the usual price to live is definitely possible. Holidays are definitely expensive. It is very convenient to visit and live in the old town. Self-driving is not suitable and I don't know where the car can be parked.

The hotel is very close to the station, so the access is excellent. The room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped with amenities, and I was very satisfied. The staff at the reception were kind, and when they realized we were tourists, they kindly showed us recommended sightseeing spots and explained how to get around using a railway map. The next day, a staff member who spoke Japanese assisted us, which made me very happy. Thanks to this hotel, we truly enjoyed our stay in Lyon. I would love to stay here again when I visit Lyon next time. ありがとうございます！

We stayed at a double room in the Sofitel in Lyon for a total of 3 nights in the summer of 2023. The hotel is located just a few streets from the Place Bellecour which is one of the main squares in Lyon. It is also about 5 minutes away from many cafes, bistros and a large supermarket (Monop’) near Place Bellecour. The room itself was a fairly standard double room (approximately 20 square metres). The interior and furnishings of the hotel look a bit dated but they were fine and did not matter in any material way. The minibar is complimentary and it is restocked daily with bottled water (still and sparkling), fruit juice, coca cola, and dried fruits and nuts. The bed was nice and comfortable and the pillows were firm. Our only complaint was that the air conditioning was not very consistent and it would turn off in the middle of the night. It is not an issue if you are staying here in the winter but it made it difficult to sleep at night in the summer. The staff were all very nice and pleasant. The concierge was especially friendly and he helped us to store our bags and arrange for a taxi to the train station on our last day. We paid approximately EUR250 a night and we thought it was worth the price.

Perfect location for visiting Lyon, restaurants and nearby transport. Fast valet parking. Beautiful interior decoration, silent rooms. The staff is friendly and takes care of requests.

I am very sorry that I did not stay at this beautiful hotel, but my friends had a wonderful day here. They told me to give a five-star praise. The only downside is that the hotel does not have an elevator, which is a huge challenge for 4 girls with 6 large boxes. But the beautiful lady at the hotel enthusiastically helped carry the luggage, making up for this only shortcoming!

The hotel is at 33rd floor of a high-rise building and quite close to the train station. There are such nice views from the room, as a chain hotel the amnities are quite good but would have wanted a proper coffee machine. The bed and the linens are confortable and soft. The room was quite clean.
