The location is not very good if you do not have a scooter. If you have a scooter, it is 5 minutes to the sea. Someone here praised the breakfasts, the breakfasts are nothing special. 200 baht per person for a couple of eggs and coffee with juice. We were worried about insects because this is a bungalow, when we checked in, the hostess said not to leave food and the door to the bungalow open and it would be ok. In principle, this was the case. The pool, which is large, is quite clean, which is long and small, not so much. There are ants in the bathroom, but it is not very annoying. In short, for this price it is quite good if you eat in the cafe and ride a scooter.

My family and I recently spent four nights at Patong Bay Hill Resort with friends, and overall, it proved to be a pleasant hillside retreat with both strengths and minor limitations.
**Accommodation & Location**
We booked a pool access sea view room, which was impressively spacious. The bedroom comfortably accommodated our family of three, while the separate hall area could easily house an additional couple. The elevated location provides excellent panoramic views and delivers an authentic Thai local resort atmosphere that many guests will appreciate.
**Service & Amenities**
The staff consistently demonstrated exceptional hospitality throughout our stay. Room service operates until 11 PM, with housekeeping available 24 hours - a thoughtful touch for families. One pleasant surprise was discovering the resort spans multiple buildings across different elevations. For guests who prefer not to walk extensively, the resort provides complimentary 24-hour shuttle service between buildings and to the reception area.
Transportation to Patong Beach (1.5-2 km away) is conveniently provided via free shuttle service until 11 PM, with Bangla Road just another 200-300 meters beyond the beach.
**Dining Experience**
The resort offers decent food quality, though options lean toward local cuisine. While vegetarians seeking Indian dishes may find limited choices, both egg-eaters and non-vegetarians will find ample variety. We particularly enjoyed the chicken delight pizza, which had a charming homemade quality reminiscent of early Asian pizza establishments.
**Physical Considerations**
The hillside location naturally involves considerable walking and elevation changes. Fitness enthusiasts will appreciate this as excellent natural exercise for cardiovascular health and stamina building. However, guests with mobility concerns should be aware of the terrain.

A truly noteworthy stay! The hotel's courtyard boasts a beautiful green environment with a wide variety of plants. The pool water was also clean, with staff clearing fallen leaves first thing in the morning. There's a rich array of activities available at the hotel. In front of the hotel is a private white sand beach, which is very clean, and you can even go clamming during low tide. Breakfast offered a fantastic selection!
However, the room's environment was a real letdown. The wooden structure inside gathered a lot of dust. The exhaust vent above the towel rack in the bathroom was completely caked with dust – it clearly hadn't been cleaned, which was quite disgusting. I can understand the yellowish water, given its hillside location, so I wasn't too picky about that. The TV was broken, but they quickly came to replace the screen.From€125

I had a wonderful stay at Splash Beach Resort in Mai Khao as a couple. The resort is spacious, peaceful, and perfect for relaxing away from the busy tourist areas. One of the highlights is the beautiful Mai Khao Beach, just steps from the resort. The beach is quiet, natural, and perfect for long walks together, especially during sunset. A big bonus is the famous airplane photo spot near the beach, where planes fly very low as they land at Phuket Airport. It’s an amazing and unique experience, and the huge airplanes make incredible photos, not only for couples but also for families.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and the resort facilities, including the pools and restaurants, were convenient and relaxing. Our room was incredibly spacious and clean, offering a truly relaxing retreat. The bed was soft and comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the room was meticulously cleaned daily. The attention to detail was evident everywhere.

The room was great, super good value. I was worried about the noise mentioned in some reviews, but it really wasn't an issue at all. It was just the air conditioning sound, not as terrible as some made it out to be, saying you couldn't sleep all night. The only thing was that they dropped us off at international departures for our airport transfer, so make sure to tell the driver clearly next time – we didn't, but luckily it was a short walk.From€44

Environment: The hotel is ideally located with a street full of massage parlors right outside the front door, and direct access to Karon Beach from the back, offering both lively and tranquil options – very convenient.
Hygiene: Despite being a sea-view room, there was absolutely no musty smell, which is quite rare and impressive.
Facilities: The only downside was the air conditioner or dehumidifier, which made a huge noise on the first night, disrupting my sleep. Then, on the third night, I turned off the lights before sleeping, and woke up to find them on by themselves – it was quite spooky! 😟
