I visited Chiang Mai for a few days. The Valentier Cafe and Hotel was a great choice as it is near many places of interest. The street the hotel is on is quiet and has many interesting cafes and restaurants. It's in a cool neighborhood in Old Chaing Mai. The room was super cozy and comfortable. AC worked very well and was super quiet. The hotel has a pool perfect for families with small children. I definitely recommend the Valentier Cafe and Hotel

Highly recommended accommodation in Chiang Mai~ The owner and son are very friendly and the facilities are very clean. Please keep it clean too. The location is convenient to go anywhere in the old town. There is a cafe in the lobby on the first floor, making it convenient to take a break while coming and going. You can borrow a hair dryer if you ask at the counter. I hope many good guests come~

When I checked in, they probbed if I would be interested in volunteering to help others check in, in exchange for a small discount. It didn't seem to make great financial sense to do that, but it might be an option for those looking for a cheaper stay. Initially, I posted a 5 star review on google because I was told that I could get 20% off the following night if I left that review while mentioning the person (volunteer) who helped me check in. The staff member (volunteer?) the next morning didn't know how to apply the 20% discount, despite being aware of it. After getting help, the 20% discounted rate was found to be significantly higher than if I simply booked again on trip.com. So... Nuts to that! So here's an honest review. It's a very well-located and seemingly well-maintained place, but the mixed dorm room is very very small and the spiral staircase wasn't the best. Despite that, I felt more comfortable than might be expected. Dark curtains around the bunks provided good privacy and a teeny tiny metal box to leave valuables was helpful. The bathroom is comprised of a series of small identical cubicles without enough space to use the toilet comfortably, but seemingly appropriate for what this place seems to be going for - a party hostel. I didn't make use of the bar, and there didn't seem to be anything of a party (I was there on a weekday), but the structure and outdoor area does seem well-geared for parties. The outdoor area might benefit from more shade during the day and I would personally change the layout a bit. Overall, a good stay in a nice hostel.

The location is a short taxi ride from the city center, which is very convenient. The cleanliness and facilities are excellent; it truly lives up to its name, 'Queen's Hotel,' with a bathtub, vanity, desk, coffee table, and sofa – absolutely luxurious! The only minor drawback was the slightly simple breakfast. I highly recommend 'Ah Hua Noodle Shop' nearby on the roadside; it's perfect for Chinese tastes.

The hotel is a 30-minute taxi ride from the airport and a 15-minute walk to the Old City, with plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. I stayed in a corner flat for a week, and the room was very spacious. Housekeeping was excellent, keeping it spotless every day. The 21st-floor lounge was quiet and offered great service – a good alternative for breakfast if the main dining area on the first floor is crowded. On the second floor, there's a kids' club where children can play freely, or you can book a class a day in advance; they have a wide variety of classes daily. The outdoor pool on the second floor is a saltwater pool, and it wasn't crowded in February. Overall, the hotel was great and provided a comfortable environment for my trip to Chiang Mai.

We went for breakfast n find a few green leavy in salad bowl turns a bit yellowish, the waitress brought back to kitchen and change a fresh new bowl immediately, super response n attentive!!! Swimming pool n gym room a bit small. We met the GM of hotel at the lobby and he was very kind to answer our enquiries for moving around. V pleasant stay!!!

The hotel's location is excellent, right next to Wat Phra Singh, and the Sunday Night Market is also right outside... The hotel environment is beautifully designed; you could just stay in and enjoy it, truly feeling like a resort. In the morning, with the sunlight streaming in, it's perfect for photos. The hotel offers complimentary afternoon tea to all guests, so don't pay extra for an 'afternoon tea package' when booking. I suggest the swimming pool gets more management in the future. One day I passed by and saw someone washing shoes with their child in it. There should be a sign indicating that shoes are not allowed in the pool, to warn inconsiderate people.

Have stayed here many times, as always very good and value for money. Location is near to restaurants that I enjoy, this time found a Michilin star chinese restaurant which was very good. Went there twice for dinner and my stay was only 3 nights. Booked car at hotel to visit various spots in Chiangrai, very convenient for the me and my two brothers. Slightly more expensive but time control more flexible and driver took us to local eateries which is very enjoyable. This is my forth stay at this hotel. Will definitely stay here if in Chiangmai. Have also introduced some of my friends to stay here and they commended me for introducing them to this beautiful hotel.

Hands down, this is the most value-for-money hotel in Chiang Mai for the 200-300 baht price range. The rooms are at least 40 square meters, come with a small kitchenette and a fridge, and you can charge your devices right by the bed. While the decor is a bit dated, the cleanliness is surprisingly good, better than many older hotels. The rooftop buffet is no longer available, but the pool is still open and a decent size. The location is great, near Maya Mall and Nimmanhaemin Road. Before 6 PM, you can even walk directly from Huay Kaew Road. The hotel entrance area is very quiet, surrounded by a purely residential neighborhood with no noisy businesses or dodgy people around.

The luggage transfer service was excellent. The room facilities were complete, and the hygiene was decent. The location is superb, perfect for elderly guests to watch the festivities from their room. They gave us adjoining rooms on the third floor with a terrace, which was ideal for watching the Water Festival from above. Luggage storage was available, and they thoughtfully dropped us off at the back entrance to catch a taxi, as the front road was closed due to the festival. We were traveling with elderly people and arrived around 12 PM, hoping for an early check-in. The front desk, however, wanted to charge 700 baht, even though there were empty rooms, which was a bit disappointing. The shower door in the bathroom didn't have any anti-collision stoppers, so it was startling when it hit the other glass panel. The hairdryer cord was fixed to the panel, making it awkward to use. There were still wood shavings left from the drilling when the room was renovated. The outdoor air conditioning unit was too loud, and the soundproofing of the windows was clearly insufficient.

Hotel is well located. 10min walk to night food market. Right outside the hotel have KFC pizza hut bakery shop which sell very good croissants and buns. There is also a self laundry right infront of teh hotel. Lotus and pharmacy also walking distance. However to get into the central old city central area/ tha pha gate area, need to walk ard 30 to 45min. Still a walkable distance though. Along the way will.pass by many temples. The hot water and water pressure is good. Can have a good bath after 1 whole day of walking :). The staff is pretty helpful and and bed is comfortable. The room i stay is quiet. Don't have much noise as it is not facing the city. It is pretty easy to get grab from the hotel to nimman, bus station and air port.

The bed was comfortable but everything else about room and amenities was quite out dated. Way over priced. Pool only has two lounge chairs so not very inviting to chill out. Service desk was nice and they gave me at least a room where I could look out the window.

I spent a few nights here at the beginning of November 2025. The room is a decent size. The beds are relatively comfortable. The bathroom was ok and the water pressure was good. The TV was large and accepted a fire stick. The balcony in building 'A' was nice. The place was mostly peaceful. There was not much street noise, however you can hear noise from the surrounding rooms. The pool is large and well maintained. There is no elevator, so if you have problems with stairs, try to get a room on the ground floor.

Here's a breakdown of my stay: 1. **Location:** The hotel's location is decent, right on Nimman Road. It's about a ten-minute walk to One Nimman and Maya Mall. Getting to the airport takes about fifteen minutes. There are set meals, grilled skewers, and Chongqing hot pot available right off the main road, or you can head to the mall or One Nimman for a huge variety of restaurants and great shopping. There's also a lively night market in the evenings. 2. **Cleanliness:** Cleanliness was okay, fairly tidy. The shower had a slight odor, and the water quality was very poor – we had to change the shower head filter every two days. 3. **Room:** We booked two king-size rooms and they were placed next to each other, with a connecting door that could be opened to create a family suite. This was really convenient for staying with kids and elderly family members. The mattress was pretty good and comfortable, but the pillows were just average; they were already flattened and caved in the middle. 4. **Pool:** The pool is on the fourth floor and is open-air. It gets extremely sunny during the day. 5. **Environment:** Located in an alley off the main road, it's relatively quiet. However, the airplane noise is incredibly loud; it felt like we were staying right next to the airport. The air conditioning also generated a fair bit of noise. Earplugs were provided in the room for sleeping. Overall, for a stay in Chiang Mai, it offers great value for money and is very convenient.
