Daniel Manin Guesthouse was a great place to stay and conveniently close to the metro and buses.  The streetcar was a bit loud, but no problem with earplugs.  One of the reasons we booked was that there was a terrace advertised, but it was no longer accessible to guests of Daniel Manin.  At times, I received quick replies while my query about the terrace access was either missed until I messaged two more times over a couple of days.

It's really close to Termini Station. 5 minutes walk It was very convenient because there was a shared kitchenette They carefully stored my luggage before check-in They also stored my luggage after check-out The bathroom was clean and the bedding was clean The room was small, but overall I was satisfied!!!

The room is spacious enough. The room was cleaned very well. The breakfast was good. The following are the shortcomings: First, the curtains cannot be drawn at all. Every time, the technician has to move a large ladder to manually close the curtains. Second, the shower head on the top of the bathroom has too little water and the temperature is too low. I dare not wash my hair for fear of catching a cold. Third, and the most important one! Don't stay in room 106! Less than one meter outside the window is the eaves on one side, blocking half of the view, and the eaves are wrapped in iron sheets. When it rains, the raindrops make a huge sound and it is impossible to fall asleep! I stayed for three nights and it rained for three nights... So when you come to Palermo during the rainy season at the end of the year and the beginning of the year, don't stay in room 106. When we placed the order, we asked for a high floor and a quiet room in advance, but the front desk guy gave us this room when we checked in. As a front desk, the professional requirement should be to know all kinds of rooms well; if we are allowed to stay in this room under the condition of understanding and the occupancy rate is not high, the motive can't help but make people suspicious.

The hotel was neat and clean that staffs helped clean the bathroom and bed every day, we had an incredible stay in 4 nights. However, they didn’t offer kettle for boiling hot water, and their reason was that we had booked a standard room and hence no kettles were provided. If we needed hot water, we could only get it from the bar which closed at 22:30, meaning that if we got back to the hotel later than 22:30, there’d be no hot water for the whole night. For those who might want cup noodles for supper, you better do it before 22:30 :) For the location, it was quite far away from the city centre, there was bus stop right next to hotel, but the bus never came… we had waited for at least 30 minutes but still couldn’t see our bus coming. The faster way is to ride scooters. If you’re heading to pier / airport / train station carrying large luggage, you better ask the staffs to call taxi for you, which cost about €15 from hotel to Palermo Centrale station.

The hotel has a good layout but is very dated, especially the rooms, which are in dire need of renovation, particularly the bathrooms. The air conditioning fan was extremely noisy. The bathroom light takes at least 10 seconds to switch on after pressing the button, and there's also a lack of ventilation in the bathrooms. On the positive side, it boasts a panoramic pool on the fourteenth floor, which is a consistent 2 meters deep. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were kind and professional. The property has great potential if it were to be renovated.

Located in the heart of downtown Palermo, it is a 10-second walk from the intersection of McEda Street and Vittorio Emanuele Street, which tourists will definitely pass by. I think the security side is the highest rank in Palermo city because the street is constantly pedestrian paradise until midnight. The room was on a small road in an old building. The landlord came over to open the door for us. The room was very clean and the breakfast fruit was very fresh. The landlord knew that we were driving and accompanied us to the paid parking lot. The street next to our residence was a pedestrian street. The lively is extraordinary, especially at night, but our room is quiet and can hear the needle. This feeling of quietness is particularly good. I will definitely choose it next time!
