The hotel is in a good environment and the service is very warm and thoughtful. Since we were staying during the Spring Festival, there were a lot of Chinese tourists in the hotel and it was very lively. The hotel is in a good location and the surrounding public transportation is very convenient.

The hotel is in a prime location at the end of Fifth Avenue. Next to it is the old luxury department store BG. Because it is an old hotel, the rooms are on high floors. Also because it is an old hotel, the equipment and layout are not fashionable and comfortable (the mattress is about to collapse). The hotel's two old elevators often require patience to wait. The room rate is expensive and not cost-effective.

It's a small suite with a reasonable layout. The sofa is a bit old, but it has a sense of age.

Newly renovated, great. There are Singapore, Hong Kong management staff, can speak Mandarin Cantonese, the most friendly hotel for Chinese. There are two restaurants to choose from for breakfast, the production is very good, the Japanese is good, the first choice for New York.

The room is OK, but the big bed is relatively small. domestic five feet However, please improve the detailed procedures for deduction of hotel services! 1. If you stay for three days + stay for one more day, you will be deducted an extra day’s room fee of USD 4,300 2. It is agreed that the deposit is 300 per day, 900 for 3 days, and 2700 US dollars will be deducted directly for check-in This math skills are really not good 🤷♂️

An old classic hotel, showing her luxury everywhere. It's just that the floor I was given was too low, and it was noisy with the SPA room and exercise room. But I was later changed to a big room on the 12th floor. It's a pity that such a big room doesn't even have a bathtub. It doesn't fit the tone of the old money style. The bar is good with room card priority 👍

Excellent location, you can go running, shopping and eating when you go out Environment: Right next to Central Park, there is a big shopping mall downstairs. You can walk to Fifth Avenue in a few steps, and there are many Internet celebrity restaurants. The point is that you can go to Central Park for a run as soon as you go out, which is very convenient. The view of the room faces the Hudson River, and the scenery is very chill. Facilities: The room is very large in a place like New York. The facilities are complete. But the bed is a bit soft, I don’t like it very much. Gym: Although the gym is well-equipped, it is still too small for Mandarin. And I really can’t accept that I have to wait for the staff to open the door when I go to the gym at night. Why is it not a 24-hour gym? I really can’t understand it. Others are pretty good. For this location, I will still stay here when I come to New York in the future.

The location is super convenient, right next to Times Square, making it easy to catch a Broadway show. I especially loved the breakfast; the dining area was beautiful and the food was delicious. You can choose from breakfast sets or order à la carte. They even give you free tickets to MoMA when you check in! The hotel is only about a ten-minute walk from MoMA, and my daughter went two days in a row!

The hotel's location right in Times Square is excellent. For Manhattan, the room was surprisingly spacious, featuring two full-sized beds and a large sofa that could comfortably sleep an adult. Service was also good; the front desk staff were very friendly. There's a $40 daily resort fee that includes a credit you can use to grab food from the hotel restaurant – definitely use it, or it goes to waste! Midtown Manhattan attractions are all within walking distance, and getting to Uptown and Downtown is incredibly convenient via subway or Uber. While Times Square itself can be a bit chaotic and gritty, it's bustling with trendy spots and all sorts of dining options. Plus, being on the 35th floor, the room was surprisingly quiet. Despite a few minor issues, the positives definitely outweighed the negatives, and I was quite satisfied overall.

My son and I had the most incredible experience! I would recommend the William Vale to all my friends and family. The balcony views at sunset in the summer are absolutely stunning. The hotel itself offers many thoughtful amenities including a welcome message with your name on the television upon arrival. I honestly only have one small complaint and that was the cleaning service. We called about having the room cleaned and actually spoke with the individual who said she would come back at the time we requested but she never returned. Other than that one little hiccup everything went smoothly from the time we pulled up to valet to unload our luggage. There is NO better hotel to stay in Williamsburg aside from the William Vale.

Horrible experience with Service & Unnecessary charges a) After charging $40 + taxes, they give $30 free meal voucher every day. After Day-1 i realised it was more economical to not use the $30 voucher. Sounds strange but its very Interestingly structured. One orders an Avocado toast for $29 (within budget) from the in room menu. The guy delivers in 30mins with a bill of $52 of which its $29 of food, $10 of delivery charges and $13 of taxes totalling to $52. So 1st you are charged $40 as City charged and in lieu of that the coupon of $30 for food given to you even if u stuck to your understanding $30 you would have paid more than $52 means extra $22 It gets more interesting when they tell you, that you cant use this $30 for breakfast. This is like a Ponzi scheme. b) One of the rudest In-room dining call you will ever attend. I asked what is XXXXX, revert: you should read about it, this is not in my job profile, I only take orders. Fab experience 😍 c) I requested that since i was lactose intolerant could the hotel be kind to deliver 1/4 cup of Almond milk, just enough for a cup of tea. I am told that is possible and then a full cup of milk with $10 + taxes = $13 is charged for simple request of Almond milk. d) You are not eligible for even a single bottle of water in a so called 5star hotel or so. e) Servicing the room was not in list, had to go twice over to reception to ensure that room no is added to list of rooms to be serviced in the day. f) The Coffee machine wasnt working and one had to request for a simple electric kettle to warm water for tea/coffee. g) The Jet spray in the washroom commode was jammed and not working.

The stay was nice. Rooms are small. No coffee maker in the room. You can go downstairs and buy coffee but the coffee is weak and not worth the price. Water runs out the shower soaking the floor. Overall the place is cozy. Intimate. The bar tender was AMAZING ABSOLUTELY MARVELOUS. The front staff were very polite night and morning. The guy that sold the coffee wasn’t as pleasant seemed like he didn’t want to be there but he wasnt nasty either.

The location is good , a few seconds walk to Wall Street , Broadway street, Trinity church, the charging bull , the subway station 10 seconds walk , the pier 11 to Brooklyn was very close , in a nutshell worth to book for the location. I was shocked that the hotel doesn’t provide simple things like toothbrushes and paste and comb or cups , no kettle , no robes, no mini fridge, no iron, nothing. No water in the hotel . These are basic things especially for a 4 star hotel . If people stay for 1 night it’s not important but if u book it for 7 nights, u need to have some coffee or tea or hot water if u feel cold or wanna get some warm water u don’t have it . The reception had some hot water but the elevators were always busy so it’s a headache. Also the neighbors were very noisy , the walls were not blocking the sound. I could hear them using the bathroom.

Stayed at the New Yorker Hotel and the location is absolutely perfect — right by Penn Station, making it super convenient for travel around NYC. Rooms are on the smaller side (as expected in New York), but very comfortable, clean, and well-kept. The hotel itself feels classic and well-managed. Tik Tok Diner right downstairs is a great spot for a quick bite, and Macy’s is just a short walk away for shopping. Overall, a great stay if you want convenience, cleanliness, and easy access to everything midtown has to offer.

The hotel is good and the location is fabulous. Maybe that makes the staff not care about customers as they know people are going to bring business to that location anyway. I think the staff needs to understand that they do not need to be so inhospitable and unwelcoming in nature. They do not even look up to you even if you are waiting there for 2-3 hours. I reached 2 hours early and opted to sit in the lobby when it was 3:05 pm I asked for the room as I checked in earlier the host said please wait there and showed me her hand briefly pointing straight. Now she is extremely busy and wants me to understand that she asked me to stand by pointing straight. Not understanding her hand gesture, I returned to sit and at 3:20 I went to her again (mind you she is very busy doesn’t even look at you even if you are waiting right in front of her). This time she said oh you did not stand so my colleague did not help you. Although was sitting just in-front of the desk. That’s when I lost it as I was hungry , tired and exhausted and said “I might faint now I cannot keep waiting for you honestly”. That’s when she handed me a key immediately. My question is, if she can give a key why so much hassle to someone who checked in 2 hours prior? What is this sadistic pleasure? Anyway guys you can go there just expect the staff to have a “I don’t care” attitude. The staff thinks that the money we spent for their room is something they are entitled for. The room was small but clean, which was my priority.

Disappointed by Poor Coordination Despite Great Location The location is fantastic, and the room was clean and comfortable. However, I faced major frustration during my stay. I extended one night under a separate booking and informed the front desk in advance. Despite assurances, I was locked out of my room twice and had to go up and down multiple times—only to be told they hadn’t taken my credit card. On top of that, the shower gel wasn’t refilled. For a hotel of this standard, such lapses are unacceptable. The manager did offer free breakfast for two as service recovery, which I appreciated. Still, coordination needs serious improvement.

The management of this particular Holiday Inn could do much better in providing amenities such as a CLOCK. The hotel is poorly designed and in disrepair. The counter space in my bathroom was practically non-existent. The placement of the desk and chair directly underneath the television is illogical. Although the Holiday Inn is now owned and operated by IHG, that's no excuse to denigrate the reputation of this once great hotel chain. I will be traveling to Amarillo, Texas later on this month and staying at another Holiday Inn. I dare say, that the look and feel of the facility will be a 180 degree turn from the one in Chelsea. Pretty shameful

Midtown West New York|5.98km from city center
We decided to change hotels from our original in hell's kitchen to this one close to the park. We stayed for 3 nights in march 2024. We had a twin room on the 6th floor. Room 650. The entrance is quite grand and the lobby is really big. We checked in around 1600 hours. It was easy and we were aware of the additional charges, tax , deposit and resort fee. We'd read the reviews about the lifts being busy and some out of order. This was not an issue for us. Easy enough to walk the 6 flights of stairs as necessary. The check in staff were friendly and polite. We asked for a kettle for our room. This was delivered as were tea bags, sugar and milk along with paper cups. The room was ok. The beds were a good size. The view was of the street. The windows opened. The bathroom looked ok too. It had a bath tub. I wanted a bath. The shower was in the bath. On the surface, everything looked clean enough. The decor was a bit tired. There was a safe in the closet. The bedside lights had usb sockets and plug sockets. Very useful. Once we were settled we started to notice issues. The bath plug didn't close. It was a push down plug. I didn't get to have my bath! The walls in the bathroom were dirty. When the shower water dripped on the tiles you could see black mould running down and into the bath tub. The mirror in the bathroom was peeling. We saw a bug running across the table area! We spoke with the cleaning staff and they said they would clean up the dirty tiles. We also spoke with reception. Someone was sent to our room to fix the plug in the bath tub. They didn't fix it. They removed the casing on the tub and just left it on the side. We reported this again and everything else we came across that was faulty or not acceptable. The staff were very polite and apologetic yet nothing actually got fixed. The edges of the room were really dirty. The lounge area on the ground floor is really nice and the bar is well stocked. The loos though were not very clean and you did have to queue to get in to them. Access only with a room key. The actual hotel is connected to the Manhattan Club Hotel. We used the bar on the 26th floor a couple of times. It was really nice. Upon check out we reiterated the issues that we had and staff were very apologetic and returned our deposit and resort fee. Maybe that's why a resort fee is added to these hotels. You feel like you are getting something back when in fact I don't believe a resort fee is actually that fair. Are you paying for the use of a kettle? The bar? It is listed what the resort fee entitles you to. As I mentioned, I was aware of this. Would I stay here again? Probably not, despite the great staff and fab location and cheap room rates. I understand there is a refit of the lifts going on. Not sure about cleaning and updating of the decor. Something needs to be done to improve this hotel. I think it was probably quite glamorous back in the day.
