The room is very spacious. What is worth mentioning is the swimming pool on the top floor. It is very comfortable to look up at the sky. Breakfast is a la carte, very Western style, and can be chosen based on personal preference. The location is great and public transportation is convenient. There is also a McDonald's downstairs and a 24-hour supermarket nearby.

It is more an expensive appartement hotel, with a bling bling appearance than a real luxury hotel: reception is a cold corridor, not enough supply of coffee capsules, no special welcome gesture like in other 5 stars hotels, breakfast is on a noisy (heavy music) cold atmosphere roof top, with a pathetic pre set micro fruit salad and miniature croissant.... service is typically on a forced smile mode. overrated.

Good stay at the Westin. Clean, comfortable, modern room and good service at reception. Well located. Just a couple of minor negatives: 1. The pool was extremely busy on the Saturday because the hotel sells tickets to the public for a pool party event (I believe happens every Friday and Saturday). All the loungers and seats were taken and there were no clean towels available - not ok if you're actually staying at the hotel but can't use the pool facility. It was quiet and pleasant on other days, however there is no service around the pool that we saw so I'm not sure whether you can order food/drink poolside. 2. The buffet breakfast was generally very good in terms of selection, food quality and ambience however we stayed over the Easter long weekend and the service was noticeably lacking - many of the food items had run out and we had to wait multiple times and for long periods for them to be replenished. Also we were not offered tea/coffee or told there was a choice of eggs to order until our last day (ie. after the long weekend) so were left with the dregs of cold scrambled eggs and self service hot drinks. Other than that, we were happy with our stay and would go back if ever in Brisbane again.

Stayed as family of four (teenagers) in one bedroom suite. Got early checkin and late checkout on Friday night which was great. There's no view in the room but wasn't much of an issue. The pool was great, but the swim up bar wasn't open on Friday, despite the homepage saying it is. It was open on Saturday but we were getting ready to checkout so really wasn't in the drinking phase. The executive lounge had good choice of food and drinks. They only had beers and wines so no spirits, even basics. The rooms were spacious. The bathroom door wouldn't close properly and there was no lock which was bit inconvenient. The sofa bed was bit small for 2 ppl and the king bed was very spacious. Overall it was great hotel for an overnight stay as family. Would highly recommend

I chose to stay on the first day of my birthday. The hotel is better than I expected. I booked a city-view room at first, but later I thought the pool view was great and I wanted to change it. I would like to say that Ctrip's customer service attitude is good and has been helping to solve it, but it may not be very efficient, and it can not be guaranteed to change, but I still want to give praise to the customer service and patient attitude. Finally, I called the hotel to communicate my needs in the past, and I got the room type I wanted. The overall impression of the Hotel Calile is very good, especially the swimming pool, the swimming and camera experience is super nice! In the future Brisbane will choose to live here and will recommend it to friends.

The room is the net red feel, but it is really good to have a drink by the pool at night. Downstairs is the shop that buys clothes. It feels better than city shopping.

The room decoration is generally average, not like a five-star hotel, but a bit like a newly opened express hotel in China. The so-called river view rooms only see a little bit diagonally. The elevator is also inconvenient. You have to swipe your card to get to your own floor. The reservation of two rooms by a travel companion was ignored even if they were arranged on the first floor. They are on different floors several floors apart. It is very inconvenient to go through the door. The only advantage is that the hotel's location is relatively central. It's in a pedestrian street, so it's quite lively even if you come back late at night, and it's relatively safe. The breakfast room has the same variety every day.

I loved the Brisbane Hyatt. I ended up spending four more nights there and it just couldn’t get enough. It was centrally located. I was able to get around town very easily. I was able to walk over to the wonderful Parkland lake where the big party is in the middle of town where everybody’s at the beach and playing volleyball having fun The food was exceptional. The service was outstanding. The bed was very comfortable. Everything was modern and clean and eco-friendly so all in all I was quite impressed and I’m sure I’ll be back in the future. Thank you very much! I’m a big fan.

Reviews From Real Travelers
Good central location, room clean and tidy. Staff were excellent, especially in concierge and reception, who gave superb customer service. The experience was ruined by some irritations which could easily be fixed. In the bathroom, I was pleased to have a bathtub as well as a shower but there was no soap or shampoo for the bath: I had to walk backwards and forwards to the shower to get soap and shampoo when I needed it. I had to leave a note to ask the housekeeping staff to leave me a bar of soap. No shower attachment in the bath for hair-washing or bath-cleaning. Water temperature in the shower highly variable (other guests reported this too). The elevators were slow to arrive: sometimes a very long wait. The card readers in the elevators were temperamental, lots of guests struggled to make them work. In the breakfast area, decaffeinated coffee was not included: had to ordered separately and pay extra (expensive too). The omelette chef was never there and had to be summoned. Odd arrangement where there are no stairs for those that want exercise or dislike waiting for slow elevators or dislike elevators altogether. Even the one floor down from reception to concierge can only be travelled by elevator. Some attention to detail please Marriott: your staff are great but I wouldn’t stay again because of the other issues above, unless they are remedied.

Lovely hotel beautifully located in The city on the north shore conveniently located five minutes from the trendy Howard smith wharf on the river. Pros- Location, hard to beat in the middle of everything Staff - made to feel very welcome. Joanne the lady on reception welcomed us with a glass of fizz and upgraded us on arrival. Exceptional customer service Room - breathtaking view of the river, comfortable room Food & beverage - excellent choice of hot and cold breakfasts, the juicer where you could mix your own fresh juice of carrot celery and orange was a fave of my daughter. Drinks in the bar were very good, a nice way to end the evening Cons - were left waiting at least five minutes to be seated for breakfast. By then a long line had assembled and a large party of about 10 people behind us were immediately shown to a table. Rude. Swimming pool - not heated Aside from the two gripes shown above I would stay here again due to the location, price paid and the good customer service at checkin. They just need to sort out the breakfast checkin to speed it up.

Loved our stay at Stamford Plaza and we were there for about 2 weeks in a Suite. Huge rooms seperate lounge, huge dressing room and bathroom and the view was spectacular. The position is fabulous and you just walk out to the riverfront and all the great restaurants are there. Will stay again if we travel to Brisbane.

An older Sofitel compared to some others I stay at as a an Accor Platinum member but my experiences have all been quite postive when I stay here. Staff as usual were very friendly and helpful which is what brings me back to Accot hotels, and the fact my room is almost always ready early. Quite a large hotel with a few different options for food and drinks. The breakfast is quite good, alot of options and plenty of room to sit and relax. The gym is on the smallish side but nice pool and amenities. My King room was quite dated badly in need of a renovation but its quite big and the bed was comfortable. Parking can be a bit difficult at times. The location is very convenient if you are coming by train and its only 5 minutes walk into the CBD. Overall a good hotel and experience.

We booked a one bedroom apartment with mountain view for Brisbane river fire. It was a very pleasant stay and the hotel was very clean and comfortable. Excellent location with a short stroll to the culture centre and Southbank. The coffee shop downstairs made breakfast easy. It was also great value for money. The only downside was the closeness to the train tracks so you could hear the train all night - but it wasn’t that loud and didn’t really impact our sleep.

Stayed here for 7 nights at the beginning of April. Check in was quick and although we requested a quiet room, we were sadly given a room that faced onto a road and the helipad of the children’s hospital. So, the room was rather noisy from the traffic and from helicopter landing and taking off at night. Even with ear plugs on I could still hear the traffic. Room: Room 714 was very clean, it seems the Australian standards of cleanliness is much higher and better than at our previous Marriott stays in Cardiff, Wales and in Edinburgh, Scotland. Housekeeping at this hotel is very thorough at cleaning, as we didn’t feel any dust on the surfaces. My partner is blind and the first thing he does is touch the surfaces to get to know the layout of the room and he was impressed that tables, chairs & walls didn’t feel dusty. The housekeeping ladies always provided us with fresh towels and 2 bottles of water daily, as well as change the bed linen when requested. These ladies (day as well as evening housekeeping) are all lovely and friendly, requests for extra toilet paper, tissues, even slippers, toothbrush and toothpaste were promptly supplied with a smile. The housekeeping team at this hotel should be commended for keeping rooms/bathroom clean to a high standard. Reception: The ladies at reception Jess and other lady (who doesn’t wear a name badge) are efficient when checking people in however, they were not so friendly once you’ve checked in, they both came across as cold, sourpusses. Every day we went past reception and these 2 ladies never smiled or said hello. Once we initiated a hello and got a forced response. The male reception staff at night and on the days when the ladies were off are much better as they always greeted people as they walked past reception. Location: This hotel is perfectly located as it is close to all the restaurants in the Southbank and there’s lots to choose from. It is also about 2 mins walk to Goodwill bridge which connects to the Botanical Gardens. From this hotel everything is within walking distance, we walked to Queen Street shopping mall daily and it took us about 10 mins via Southbank parklands and crossing the bridge. We are not super fast walkers but we found everything in close proximity to this hotel. We will definitely stay at this hotel again when we return to Australia next year.

Booked through Luxury Escapes.. sorry to say I should have checked reviews first. The location is good restaurants and hotels nearby plus easy walk to convention Centre..but that’s where the good news ends. Tiny one bedroom, weird balcony with no furniture, no decoration and the most uncomfortable lounge and chairs. View over building site. Had to ask for tea and coffee sachets, for the bottle of wine that was supposed to cone with booking. No ambience at all!

The hotel is nice and clean. For it's price it's worth the value and a short distance walk to everything plus providing parking for your car. The only thing I thought was missing is the hotel didn't provide any water to use for making tea and coffee that is provided.

The location is great for access to the train station (about a 10 min walk but easy), the lovely West End, Southbank etc. The apartment had everything we wanted except for a coffee machine - Nespresso machines aren't expensive and would round the stay out nicely. The check in process is not great if you arrive after hours as there is no onsite staff. I was told to phone 10 minutes before my arrival and when I did was told that they were all busy and to ring back in 20 minutes. Fortunately I didn't have to wait that long. It would be easier to be given a code to a key box. When we check out, though, the staff were very helpful and held our luggage for a few hours for us.

We stayed in the Mantra South Bank, Brisbane, for 5 nights. The Mantra is well located, only a short walk from the river and South Bank attractions. Our studio room was spacious, clean and well-appointed. The hotel has a small pool and gym with a good selection of fitness machines. The Mantra's staff on the front desk and in the restaurant/bar were excellent - friendly, professional, and helpful. Overall we were made to feel very welcome, which we really appreciated.

Nice clean 1-bedroom apartment with well-stocked kitchen and comfortable bed. Very central to South bank and West End and near the river front. Just wish that they would spend some money to heat the swimming pool during the autumn and winter months. If your apartment faces Edmondstone Street there is a high-rise apartment being constructed and the crews start working at 7 am which can be noisy.

Everyone scored a perfect score, and I am embarrassed not to score a perfect score (*¯︶¯*) The room view at check-in was not very satisfactory, and the hotel took the initiative to contact the next day and asked to switch to the view direction. Others are very good, and the catering on the first floor is also very good. The coffee is mellow and the pizza is roasted by a fireplace. It's so delicious... I just don't understand one thing~ why the pool is so pitiful...

Wasn’t planning on staying here, but was bumped to this accomodation at the last minute by Clix. So a bit disappointed as we were staying at one of their other buildings which was closer to restaurants etc and had a better pool. The apartment was clean and looked out over the hills and river, the bed was comfortable. Could have done with more kitchen utensils like a baking tray for starters. Stove had a wok burner but no wok or fry pan. Tiny wash basin with no side bench so had to put stuff on floor. Shower door handle had coroded and needs replacing. Disappointed in the pool, even though technically out doors it was all under cover thus no sun light so a bit chilly as it acted as a wind tunnel. Also was on 22nd floor and could still hear trains that ran past building.

Travelling to BNE every 15 days and I used to stay in the CDB, even when attending some conferences in BCEC. Due to a last minute booking, I ended-up at the Novotel few months ago, and this place is officially my new HOME when in town. Clean and tidy very modern quiet rooms, 100m walk from exhibitions halls (thanks to a shortcut at the back), with a 24/7 accessible parking (you can get in and out easily), this place is super convenient. You are just next door to all what Southbank has to offer and a short walk distance (or scooter ride) to the CDB (pedestrian bridge over the river) Staff are young and efficient, smiling all day. ACCOR Motto btw. Last but no least, you stay far from the noisy students/backpackers nightlife + trains / highway of downtown. After all, even if you are in Bris-Vegas, you came here for a rest!

The hotel is in a great position. Right on Southbank and a two minute walk to Fish Lane. Parking is first in and we could only see maybe 7 guest parks, all taken. All photos on the apartment website and Booking.com show a variety of rooms. Nothing could have prepared us for the horrible room we were given. Definitely not shown in the photos. The lounge was a disgusting fold up futon with an ill fitting cover over it. The vacuum cleaner was wall mounted right in the middle of the tiny lounge area? Fortunately the check in receptionist was able to find another room for us for which we are very grateful so make sure you get what you paid for and was expecting. The cutlery and glasses were all dirty. Reception closed at 3pm? and no reception on Sunday. There is a great little bottle shop and gin bar next door
