"This is our go to place for our annual staycation during the summer. It's a wonderful resort. They have wonderful pools. They also have an ”adult only” pool if you want to relax away from the kiddos. To add to our wonderful experience was the Bird Man from Liberty Wildlife. On the 4th of July he had Aurora, a huge beautiful female bald eagle. You are able to take a picture with Aurora and as she is lifted up behind you she spreads her gorgeous wings! On other days he might have a hawk or an owl. The live band in the pm was fun too! The picture I posted here of the Bird Man is from Google. The eagle he is with is beautiful, but not Aurora. 💜"
"As a mix of vacation and business, the Hyatt resort offered great features to relax and enjoy your time around business. Adding small concert events every evening was very enjoyable. The pools were great. The staff was very helpful and friendly."

"Our planned 3 night stay at the W Scottdale turned into one disappointing night. I have traveled the world and stayed in every type of hotel and never experienced anything like this place. I wish I had more carefully read the terrible reviews for this hotel as this was our experience as well. Online, the GM keeps responding to the bad reviews, and nothing seems to change. Just note to the GM that this message is not for you, so no need to answer. If you want to, you have the power to fix things for future guests. Pool: After many questions to the management, I was finally told the truth that the pool area, which is crudely called WET- is not managed by the hotel but by another company called Spellbound Entertainment Group. The hotel advertises it as an amenity for guests that is open all day and into the late evening. According to this one honest staff member, WET has the right to deny pool area admittance to any hotel guest as their pool boys see fit. Yes- there are pool boys at the gate that let you in or not and they seem to think that this is 1980 and that they are important bouncers at Studio54. FYI- This is 2022 and everyone should be treated with respect, and you work at an insignificant hotel in the middle of a Podunk town. As I experienced myself, they use arbitrary “dress codes” to turn hotel guests away. One young staff member at the front desk told me in a snotty way “You better dress to impress if you want access to the pool.” Seriously- I need to impress a pool boy to use an advertised hotel amenity?? The night manager told me the dress code policy was on the hotel website, but I couldn't find it. Hotel Atmosphere / Management: If you are looking for a boorish frat party ambience, this is your place. The night manager explained to me several times that this was a “lively hotel” and that they catered to customers who are in the “entertainment industry.” I have stayed at many “lively hotels” that hosted events and parties and I do not care what her preferred customers do for a living- as long as their activities do not interfere with my comfort and experience. The music from the hotel (not other patrons) blared until 2 AM and the walls are thin. We were given no orientation to the hotel- it’s services or policies- just more or less told that were we not their preferred clientele and given a room key. I have never stayed at a hotel whose staff/management seemed to be almost gleeful about making a guest's stay uncomfortable. Rooms: Our first room was so noisy from loud, dated, and repetitive music coming from the pool area that we requested and were granted a move to a less loud – though not quiet- room. For the prices at the hotel, the rooms were very small and box like. The first room was so small that there was barely room to walk around the bed. There was no balcony or outdoor space with the room. The furniture was beat up looking. The advertised refrigerator was actually a stuffed mini bar. With limited pool ac"
"I've stayed at the W Scottsdale over 50+ times in the past ten years. I would like to add this review to help others thinking through their best options. Let's start with the negative which is the pool and its practices on the weekend. The hotel is effectively turning into a day club/night club. Not like how some W's are 'stylish' but literally like a club. 90%+ of the pool seating area requires you to book a table and drink service through 'a guy' who texts you back the prices. There are 18 spaces exactly for people who don't want to do this. They are arranged in 9 sets of 2, in 3 rows. To put this in perspective, if a group of 4 people from one room take 4 seats, that one room has occupied 22% of the free pool area. Not an exaggeration. There are 236 guest rooms. You can imagine all chairs are gone almost at sunrise! The pool parties - which are fun btw - are mostly full of group visitors celebrating a birthday or locals who have purchased a space for the day. As a hotel guest in a free space, you are absolutely a second class citizen. The stream of people each day that realized this, got frustrated, complained, and then left was shocking. During the week, none of this stupidity occurs. The hotel runs the pool like the rest of the world. Friday/Saturday/Sunday...*** are they thinking. It didn't used to be like this. There are many positives to the hotel: Staff is reasonably friendly and accommodating. Especially the valet crew and the bartenders. Rooms have been slightly updated, so the older design still looks reasonably fresh. Away Spa is outstanding. Location is really good as you can walk to numerous things. I think I have outgrown the hotel, at least on the weekend."
"The W Scottsdale is always my go-to place to stay when in town. They always treat me so well, upholding all the Marriott Bonvoy benefits, like upgrades (they always give me the best rooms), early check in, late check out. On this trip, Liz at the front desk took extra good care of me by making sure I could stay in the same room when I added an extra night to my stay, last minute. Great property and lots of fun, don’t ever hesitate to stay at the W Scottsdale!"

Rooms were comfy, lobby is unbelievably gorgeous and great to relax and people watch, read a book or visit and enjoy the ambiance. The outdoor areas- pool/lagoon, gardens could compete with any luxury Caribbean resort. The Spa was so great I went Twice! Absolutely will return. Rachel @ the morning bar was our favorite staff. Friendly and made amazing lattes to start our days. Saydo is the man to see at the shuttle for ideas of what to do-where to go! We loved both of them!"
"Highly recommended! I loved the spaciousness and quality of light throughout the resort. The lobby was so inviting with several areas to sit to read or talk. The rooms I stayed in were clean and comfy with luxurious amenities here and there. The very best part of my stay at The Scott was the gracious and friendly staff. Very professional and attentive from the front desk people (amazing), the housekeeping crew and the van drivers. Amazing care for their guests! Thank you for the great care you gave me during my stay with you!"
"A brief getaway with another couple. The facilities are clean, well kept up and wonderful. The service people are nice, friendly and efficient - moving quickly and fast. Each of the several that serve us were very helpful. The food was quite good and plentiful. All in all, we'll visit again."

The check in process was ok, although I believe the young lady who assisted me was fairly new to the job so the other gentleman working helped to answer a lot of my questions. They were busy since this was during spring break in the Chicagoland area, Spring Training was occurring and they are located right next to Sloan Park which would logically add to their occupancy. The standard check in time per their website is 4pm. I arrived very early, like 1030am, so I understood that my room was not yet ready since check out wasn’t until 12n. I was notified about 2pm that my room was ready and I was pleased it was ready a bit early until I walked in and took a look around. Sadly it was still dirty. The trash has been emptied and the bedding and towels appeared clean, but my remote control looked like someone blew their nose on it, the room was incredibly dusty, and their was a hairball in the shower. I pointed the remote and the dust out to the housekeeping staff. The supervisor was very apologetic about the condition of the remote control and even provided $40 in vouchers for Stats Grill when she returned with a new remote, but the room was still VERY dusty. Rather than add another “complaint” about the room to their list I decided to just use a wash rag to dust figuring the dusty wash rag would be seen when they came in to clean the room the following day, and dust isn’t nearly as gross as dried snot on a remote. The following morning I left the dusty wash rag on the table along with an empty tissue box I wanted to be sure was replaced with a full one and headed off to the Grand Canyon. When I returned 10 hours later and the room hasn’t been touched. On my way out to dinner I stopped at the front desk and asked what the cleaning schedule was for the rooms, only to find out they don’t enter guest rooms during their stay unless asked to do so. I found this odd considering the Las Vegas situation changed most hotel policies to require, at a minimum, daily inspections, even if it’s just a quick look in the room for safety, and this hotel is right next to Sloan Park which is a particularly high crowd location for about 2 months a year. Aside from finding it odd they didn’t do daily room checks I didn’t think anything more of it though since I travel so often and don’t necessarily need my room attended to daily. I asked them to drop off a box of tissues in my room, which they did, and I headed off to dinner and to watch a friend’s game. I had no other issues with the room the remaining 3 days of my stay…or so I thought. Thursday March 31st at around noon, I stopped at the front desk and asked about how they handle the check out process. They explained the process and that there was no need to do anything with them so I thanked them and made my way to the airport to return my rental car and head home. When I woke up the morning of Friday April 1st I found that I had been charged $250 for “guest damage” and that “damage” was for SMOKING in the room. Here’s

The hotel is in the city center and the location is very good! The equipment is very new, there is a shopping mall behind the hotel, shopping is convenient, there are few Chinese people nearby, the outdoor terrace on the second floor of the breakfast hotel feels very delicious. I solved it at a nearby Japanese restaurant in the evening, and there is Starbucks near 200 meters. All of this is very good, the only bad thing is that there is no boiled water, but most hotels in the United States do not, especially this place with few Chinese.

The room is quite big and clean, and the sound is too big. The sound of the air conditioner was huge, the room was very poorly sounded (the next door was able to hear everything), and the sound in the hallway was heard clearly. The house cleaning staff is also very rude. The undisturbed sign fell to the ground, and after violently knocking on the door, the door was directly pushed in, or it was early in the morning. However, parking is very convenient, and the commissary downstairs can also meet basic needs.

In previous visits before Covid, I had been quite enthusiastic about the HGI in Scottsdale North Perimeter Center. The room rates have gone up, and services have deteriorated. The guest has to specifically request maid service; the furniture (Room 315) has deteriorated considerably; there were two lonely bars of soap in the bathroom and one washcloth. A staffer with a serious anger problem barked at guests twice in my presence. This behavior is unbecoming of anyone in the hospitality industry. The location is good, the rooms are quiet, the air-conditioning works, the rates are up, and the hotel is not what it used to be. For a night or two, perhaps. Don't irritate the angry staffer.
