0.5km from Forty HandsWhen I came to Singapore for transit, I found a change in the quarantine policy when I left the airport. I needed to check the test results before I could check in to the hotel. Later, thanks to the assistance of Ctrip's customer service, I also thank the hotel for the arrangement so that I would not sleep on the street, thank you!

0.53km from Forty Hands1. This time I stayed at 406, the room is really small (the overall area is larger than HK Black Tea House), the bed is very narrow, maybe the adaptability is good, and I slept well for 5 nights. The room can open two 24-inch suitcases at the same time. There are three drying racks, which are hidden under the TV cabinet and are fixed. Friends who plan to wash clothes should bring their own hangers. The air conditioning is strong, and summer clothes can be dried the next day. Slippers are not provided in the room and you need to bring your own. There is not enough room for sundries when the two people stay in, and they must be placed on the suitcase.
2. Sound insulation is OK, unless someone shouts loudly.
3. Brushed the hotel of 81 and finally chose this one. Good location, exit A of Outram Park Subway Station, walk straight after crossing the overpass, and you will be across the road. When you first went there, you went a long way with Google Navigation. Normal distance of 6 to 8 minutes. There is also a bus stop nearby for cars to Katong. Construction is underway near the subway in early September, see Figure 6.
4. Each room is equipped with a key, stay at the front desk when going out.
5. Before leaving, I also talked to the front desk (short-haired girls, with the English name beginning with the J) to talk a lot about Singapore. The staff were welcoming and courteous.
6. The hotel front desk can help to call taxis.
7. In the end, Zhonglu Lu is a community with a story. If you have time, you might as well shake it. Picture 8 must go, there are delicious and delicious on the second floor.
0.55km from Forty HandsThe reason I book D’hôtel is due to the room size. It’s really spacious and the room is neat and clean. The manager manage to get the quiet room for me as requested. It’s really quiet and peaceful during my second night. But I will not recommend guest who are light sleeper to stay here. During my first night, the guest next door has caused me sleepless night till 3 am. You can hear every noise especially from the open and door closing, cleaner knocking the vacuum machine and knocking in the room. It’s an torture during my first night. But beside the noise, everything is perfect. The front desk staff are not as friendly as mentioned but only the manager is very attentive. Overall it’s good!
0.56km from Forty HandsThe comfort is good, and the scenery outside the window is beautiful, especially the sky with white clouds and blue sky. If the service is good, we will take the initiative to give you the necessary items, you can also ask for it, and we will give you what is reasonable. The room signal is not good, which is a disadvantage. But there are all sockets, there are sockets used in our country, and there are small pots for cooking noodles. The night view of Xunwan's lights is beautiful

1.07km from Forty HandsHope the General Manager is able to see this: Brenda and Jayden provided great and superb service! Good impression of the hotel because of them. Great Job! Plus points: - Rooms have great amenities and bed was comfortable. Ashley & Co amenity plus Bang & Olufsen Speaker might be the highlight of the room - Great location for a morning and evening walk - Superb Dining experience. Po has great food! The Kurobuta Char Siew and Crab Carrot Cake were fantastic! Totally justifiable for the premium on Singapore Modern Cuisine. Champagne paired very well with the food! Will come back to dine again - Rich History and heritage behind this hotel, would be nice if there is a mini tour or activity to justify the premium of this hotel (The reason why it wasn’t a full 5/5)- still good but... - Limited Facilities, only a super small wading swimming pool, though very instagrammable! No Gym... cant be helped given the size of the horel. The hotel could have organized more activity to engage guests! It’s a heritage building!!!! - Fall under Design collection which meant minimal member benefits including no complimentary breakfast for plat members and above. (Understandable since it’s not run by the Marriott Team) - Still doesnt make sense to me that breakfast price for 1 pax and 2 pax are the same. Bak kut teh was soso, Chicken curry was good but felt short of providing enough curry for the prata. - The room price is similar or even more expensive compared to other Marriott Properties in Singapore such as JW Marriott, St Regis, Marriott Tangs or Westin! You really have to appreciate the heritage and uniqueness of this hotel in order to be willing to pay for such high room rate price with minimal facilities, activities and add-on. Overall: Great experience and great service by the 2 stadd and will dine at the bar and Po once again

1.11km from Forty HandsThe hotel is a bit hard to be seen from outside and location is quite far from mrt and bus and need to walk quite a distance to shopping mall to eat and shop.
Check in wasn't that fast and had to queue for registering & check ins. But glad to receive a small box macaroon when we check in.
Hotel was very clean, and amenities was there and only problem was tv keep closing by itself every 15 mins or so, it was so disturbing.
The room size is just nice and looks pretty but the bed is a bit small for queen size for 2 person and the blanket wasn't long enough too, had troubles with sleeping after that.
Will not come again because of the location and small bed size.
1.26km from Forty HandsDid a last minute staycay at this new hotel. Can say it is pretty well designed and makes use of the space to the maximum without compromising comfort. Staff, Mr Jordan, was very friendly and helpful with check in.
Rooms are actually small but it doesnt give you that feeling due to the high ceiling. Was staying on level 3 standard room. Its well equipped and has a large TV with good selection of channels. Surprised that the room has iron also. The toilet is equipped with Ashley and Co Shampoo , Bath and conditioner, really great smell. There was no loud noises from next door and also because of Covid the restaurants below has stopped operating allowing the guests to have a good rest.
I must say the bed is fantastic, and the pillows, had a real good sleep the whole night esp since the room has no windows.
Unfortunately common kitchen, fresh coffee service and garden terrace were closed due to Covid 19. But its okay more the reason to enjoy the Duxton area by foot.
Hotel is located very near to Outram MRT, so its okay not to drive and also very near to Chinatown Market and many good eateries in along the street.
Highly recommend !!
1.28km from Forty HandsSpacious room for the price paid, near to many boutique eateries, and near to the Chinatown complex and walking distance to Outram Park MRT which is linked to people's park complex and centre. There are choices for food and if you know how to find the supermarkets nearby ,you can walk there as well or take a mrt to Tanjong Pagar or Chinatown. Relatively easy to order food for vegetarians as Chinatown complex has food for vegetarians.
1.29km from Forty HandsI think I am the most objective evaluation:
1. Hotel location: too golden! You can walk to Outram Park subway station when you go out, wherever you go! The last train of the subway is around 11:30, and you can play until late (because the gate is the one-day bar street, the lights are bright, and it is safe)
2, the service is good, too late in the morning and check-in time, can also store luggage
3. Okay to say the disadvantages: The room is very small, the same size as Hong Kong, and the single room I booked can only sleep and bath, and it has a slight odor (I feel it is harmless, because I am Come alone to play, come out early and return late, just go back to sleep, and the price is more than 350, there is no need for it, the youth hostel has 150 beds, this is a good single room!
4. Suggestion: Only suitable for one person or same-sex friends to play and live!
If you are a couple, it's better to live!
Come out alone and really recommend five stars! There is everything nearby, the traffic is too convenient, and it is quick to go to Sentosa. I walk around and feel that the surrounding Bugis MRT station is particularly lively. I eat a lot and recommend it!
1.32km from Forty HandsThe booking and checking in were smooth and easy. I requested for an earlier check in time by calling on the day of the check in and was able to check in after 1.30 pm.
The Suite with Outdoor Tub was clean and essential amenities were all present.
I cannot comment on the noodle bar or amenities as the stay was during the May 17 - June 13 Phase 2 Heightened Alert period so there was no dining-in available.
Due to the position of the bed and the aircon, which were positioned diagonally opposite of each other, it felt a bit warm during the night as the cool aircon air couldn't circulate to that part of the room.
The shower had good pressure but the shower head would tilt to the left every time the water was turned on so the only way to use the shower head was to hold on to it instead of placing it on the wall mount. Fortunately, the rainforest shower head worked perfectly.
The shower liquid dispenser had to be lifted up after each time the dispenser was pressed down, which is a slight annoyance.
There was also no bath foam or salts provided for a room that came with a tub.
I wasn't there to watch TV shows so this is a minor thing. The channels provided by Singtel TV would work fine in the beginning but the image would lag the sound until the image on screen just froze after some time while the sound kept going. I had my own entertainment and books for this staycation so this tv issue wasn't a bother for me.
Overall, simple room with stated amenities but nothing to really delight the vacationer. Certain things need to be improved upon if the hotel wants repeat visits or recommendations to other customers. From this stay, I wouldn't recommend it to friends.
1.32km from Forty HandsWasn’t expected for a bathtub in hotel 81. But one thing there’s a lot of ants. Not sure where it came from. One thing is you have to walk up the stairs to go to level 5 from level 3
It was very spacious. One thing it’s a bit noisy, was wondering what sound is that. Then upon checking out, waited for the level at level 3 and realised the sound came from the lift itself.
So far the stay is great. There’s a lot of food downstairs. The service was great as i always requested 2 pillows and they able to grant our request. Thank you. Will come back again.
1.41km from Forty HandsThe breakfast was very generous and it was quite an appetite for me. I could read a book at the bar in the evening.
No extra bed, the beds are bunk beds, how many people can set the size of the room is sufficient, this price is already very cost-effective in Singapore.
Good location, right in Chinatown, the signboard is a bit small, it takes time to find it for the first time.
The capsule room is similar to a youth hostel, but it is more fully equipped and personally thinks it is more comfortable than a youth hostel.
If you bring a child, you should try not to bring it if you are under 15 years old. It is really recommended not to bring a child under 12 years old. Everyone lives in a room. If there is noise, it will really affect the children. It's okay if your child is very obedient and quiet.
Hotels Near Forty Hands In Singapore Review
I first stayed at the SEA Hotel back in 2014 as it was recommended by my aunt and uncle who always stay here when in Singapore. I love the place. It’s old and rustic (a throwback to another time) but for $100 SGD a night with a fabulous vegetarian buffet breakfast included (Kwan Im restaurant) and prime location in Bugis you couldn’t ask for anything more. Also when booking the staff are excellent in replying to queries and give very detailed information about getting to the hotel and airport transport options and nearby attractions. Free wifi was included and it was fast and reliable. The staff on the front desk were friendly especially the girl who checked me in. Bugis+ shopping mall (10 levels with cinemas, food/retail options galore and taxi rank) is less than 5 mins walk. I use this as a taxi pick up/drop off point to various attractions from the hotel. Bugis MRT Station is 5-10 mins walk and is on the airport line (10th station from the airport, with 1 change at Tanah Merah, cost only SGD 2.50) The Kwan Im Temple is right next door and worth checking out (it gets very busy with local worshippers). Directly outside is a pedestrian mall with a flurry of activity with market stalls and street vendors. The hotel is simple and rooms unadorned with only the basics but it’s all there and excellent value for money. They do request you leave your key if you go out and recollect (24 hour reception) but I conveniently forgot to do this most of the time and it was never a problem. Oh and don’t even think about bringing durians to the hotel!
The hotel is very close to Wenqing subway station, walk 5.6 minutes. The youth hostel is very small. It has a lot of capsule beds in one room, but the capsule room is well designed. It is very spacious to sleep alone. The closed door is your own private space. Bedding, lighting, safe, charging plug, usb, and mirror are all available in the capsule. The access to the card is safe, and the bathroom is clean. Although there are many people, this is still in place. With breakfast, it is simple cereal. And toast bread, coffee milk variety. The front desk attitude is very good, that is, one of the lights in my room is broken and cannot be turned off. The Indian brother first said that the light in each room could not be turned off. He lied. Actually, it was not. Later, he let him think of a solution. In short, the overall is a good hostel, you can choose this next time you go to Singapore, it is recommended ~~~~~~
I booked this place on a long layover in Singapore, and this place is so cool! Now, the showers and amenities are pretty much like most hostels (nothing special, but more than adequate), but the pod itself was actually quite nice! Inside feels very futuristic, and it comes with your own power outlets and a/c. Bedding and pillow were soft, and the Chinatown location is a plus!
Check into the hotel and wait for the nucleic acid test results. According to government requirements, the hotel first arranged to stay in an isolated room and could not leave the room. When ordering food, you can scan the QR code in the room and deliver the food quickly. The room was isolated, and the disinfection was done well. The smell of the disinfectant was unbearable. Fortunately, after staying for 6 hours, I received a negative test report in the mail. After forwarding the email to the manager on duty for about 10 minutes, the hotel rescheduled check-in, escaped from the isolation room, and life returned to normal. The hotel facilities are very new, located in the downtown area, connected to raffles city, convenient for sightseeing and shopping, and the rooms are quiet. The front desk and some staff in the hotel can speak Chinese, there is almost no language barrier, the check-in experience is very good👍
I really enjoyed staying ar this hotel because all the workers are super friendly & they allowed Grab Food/Fooda Delivery.
Basically this Hostels is just AWESOME! 👍🏻 I recommend this Hostel to all the Backpackers out there. Good Work, everyone! Keep it up! 👌🏻
The location of the hotel is very good. The subway and buses are complete. There are two bus stops at the front door of the hotel. There are also bus stops after walking 500 meters from the back door. There are dozens of lines in the front and rear platforms; The hotel's housekeeping staff was very nice and polite. The twin room is just right for two people. Two large suitcases can be put down, but no extra bed is allowed. The breakfast was not varied and the food was not very appetizing. There is no need to drive by car in Singapore, and bus and subway travel is very convenient. It is recommended that people buy a prepaid card, easy to travel, it is recommended to buy at the airport after entry, S $ 12, of which 5 yuan is non-refundable, 7 yuan is the fare, less than 3 yuan must be recharged, Otherwise you can't get into the subway station. For a three-day trip, you can also choose another transportation card. There are various restaurants nearby, the price is not expensive and there are many options. I will consider choosing this hotel next time. As a side note, this time also happened to be watching a total solar eclipse in Singapore! awesome!
Because I need to apply for a visa, I stayed here for 18 days and stayed at other hotels for two nights. This is a co-living hotel, so there is no private bathroom, but in reality, my experience did not feel inconvenient, and I rarely encountered other customers . The traffic location is very good. It is opposite to Chinatown Food Street. When you go out, there is a traffic light. There is a Maxwell Food Center on the left. The food inside is affordable and delicious. I often go to China Street Food to finish my meal and then go to Hailan Panmian. Fried fish noodles. It is also very close to the Chinatown interchange station of the NE and DT subway lines. It is very convenient to go to Sentosa or Sands or Merlion. Auntie Cong, who is in charge of cleaning, is also super nice and enthusiastic, serious and responsible. Next time I go to Singapore, I would prefer to stay here. The decoration style is also very simple and fashionable, and some romantic, very suitable for young people. Sign-in and sign-out are also very convenient, simple and convenient. If you don’t speak English, it’s okay to live here. In short, five-star praise, highly recommended.
The plane was rescheduled and stayed in this new hotel for three days. I saw this when I planned to travel. At that time, there were no reviews on Ctrip. I wasn't sure. At the end of January, there were more than 20 positive reviews. I booked it for 3 nights and tried it.
First of all, I booked the highest room type in the entire hotel, which was only over 50 square meters. The previous Capella was half the size. It turns out that many of the comments in the review set the basic square shape of more than twenty flats that the room was large. . I really don't want to talk.
Since the best room type is only over 50 square meters, it is good to have good daylight. Look at the picture. All the windows are blocked by the wall and the daylight is not good.
The newly opened hotel contains two hours of happy hour, and there is nothing to evaluate. Breakfast was ok, few categories and quality.
If there is any need in the room, such as adding drinking water and not waiting for a body lotion, you have to wait a long time. When you call and change the wiring for another person, you don't know what you are going through.
Besides talking about the convenient shuttle bus, this hotel does not have its own shuttle bus at all. Instead, it needs to go to a nearby hotel instead of having a car that goes to vivo City and Resorts World like Capella. All three days of stay require us to walk or take the MRT.
Why compare with Capella? Because I spent almost the same money as Capella (one less than 5000, one nearly 6000)
So the credibility of the previous review is almost huh.
In the end, I spent my birthday at the hotel and told me when I checked in. I asked if I could upgrade to know that I had booked the best room, so I was told "I will surprise you, but I won't tell you yet." "OK, alright, wait until 9 o'clock on the birthday, send a simple cake. I gave a cake to someone who was anti-sugar for 1 year. I was really huh, huh, and finally the child took a small bite and threw it away.
The boneless chicken fried rice in the restaurant is very popular with children. The swimming pool is very clean, about 25 meters long. Because during the epidemic period, some meals are bought one get one free. It was originally not expensive for about 15 servings, and it became more affordable. Very quiet, you can take a walk in the nearby big park in the evening, very relaxing, recommended
Good aspects: clean environment, good host service and good sanitation;
Disadvantages: The public areas in the villa are relatively cluttered. They are located in the industrial area, there are buses and restaurants within 300 meters of walking, and shopping is about 1.5 kilometers on foot.
If you are working near the Woodlands area, you can consider it. After all, it is farther away than coming from the urban area. Living here can save time and fares. If you are really traveling, it is not recommended.
This place has very, very good customer service which i must first commend in the first sentence of this review. I was there for 3 days and two nights and there was the same staff throughout my stay, day and night. But he was friendly, helpful and jovian. It actually seemed like he was the one who did absolutely everything in the hotel. Be aware that this hotel IS in the red light district of Singapore. My room was a single bed room, and the only single bed room in the already small hotel. It was unfortunately crawling with ants along the wall, a tile or two had chipped or fell off. The wall hiding behind the toilet door wasn't to die for either, the room didn't feel complete, but it was livable. I did get the opportunity to go into the other rooms, the double bed room and family room. Those were definitely more decent, they felt cleaner and were better maintained. They even had a cosy feel to them. It comes with breakfast in the vicinity's small kitchen. Don't expect a wide spread or a 4 star hotel breakfast, but it was pretty decent for it's standard. Bread, a fruit, protein (eggs, tuna or others), rice or porridge. There are plenty of food around the area, hawkers mostly. But there are three mrt stations within walking distance, and Paya Lebar Square is about 900m (12 - 18min walk) from the hotel. In all, it isn't a place for fussy stayers. But if you're pretty easy going, don't want to pay premium prices for an accommodation and get your own room and toilet, then one can definitely consider this place.
Easy check in and check out. Room small but for an overnight stay, it’s fine. Room looks clean except maybe some frosted mirror toilet writing that’s not obvious. Room facing the junction which is not ideal if you are a light sleeper. Distracting noises that I cannot tell where it’s coming from in addition to the traffics noise. Overall, ok for an overnight heavy sleeper.
Clean.. comfort... water preassure is very good.😋. Room is quite spacious... if you travel with a family like me and on budget... this is my kind of place... will come here again and next time i will extra comforter.
Is a lil noisy in the morning due to near mosque so there will be morning prayers. Few minutes walk to Bugis and Golden Mile . Bed is cosy . Bathroom is small . Staffs is very friendly always greet us when we go in and out of the hotel.
Arrived at the hotel more than 1 pm, the staff checked me in. The geographical location is superior. The hotel turns left and goes a few hundred meters to go to Fanglin Pasar. The laksa on Renlong store on the second floor is expensive. It costs 10 coins and it tastes good. The Fujian Bak Kut Teh on the 1st floor is very good. The 4 bowls of coins are good. The soup and ribs taste good, but the herbs taste a little heavier. Turn right at the hotel and turn right for more than ten minutes. There is the Maxwell Food Center on the street. Every day, Hainan Chicken Rice is inside. Unfortunately, the day I went there was not open. I switched to Xingxing Hainan Chicken Rice. I walked about twenty minutes from the hotel to Merlion Park, and only five minutes' walk to Ya Kun for breakfast and coconut toast. It was very convenient to use Google navigation. In the alley near the hotel, there are still some murals of the early Tang people living in Nanyang. You can take a look if you have time.
Its very nice and have big bed room its good for money. Down step the hotel have eating house very convenient. Its Also near to like orchard road and other Shopping ctr too. And the room price is very enconomical. Pls call up the hotel and ask more.
Second stay at Yan Hotel and this time, I got a larger room.
Check in was swift and I had a late check out, which was good. Location is fanstastic as there are a lot of cafes and eateries within walking distance.
My only complaint about the hotel us that the TV screens are small, limited channels (only local channels) and it is not a Smart TV.
With that said, I would love to return to the same hotel for another staycation.
I stayed here for three weeks, so I booked this hotel because it was alone. It’s just fine to live alone, but staying in a room without windows for the first week doesn’t feel good, because people need sunshine to get up in the morning. After booking in the next two weeks, I asked the clerk to arrange a window, but the window could not be opened, the sound insulation was not good, and there were occasional car noises at night. Other facilities are good, toilets and showers are clean, the kitchen on the second floor can receive water, free coffee, microwave, refrigerator, etc. There are yoga and small bars on the roof, and there are two restaurants on the first floor. You need to download the st signature app to self-check in, submit your passport photo and a deposit of 80 SGD (only credit cards are supported), usually there will be shop assistants in the afternoon, and most of them can speak Chinese. The location is particularly good, the city center is quiet, and it is 5 minutes walk from Tanjong Pagar MRT Station. It is directly opposite to the Maxwell Cooked Food Market, where there are many small shops for food.
Well located, really nice staff for everything, including informations. Bed was comfortable, good shower, breakfast simple but ok. The 2 biggest problems are the travellers who don't respect the sharing room after 23h00 (need a corfu or to be advise) and the room on the street side with a restaurant open 24/24, are to to noisy. You just get little sleep. Coming from Airport, with MRT get off at Jelan Besar exit B, turn right, walk to Dickson Road. To take the bus via Malaysia, walk via Jelan Besar, turn left and right on Weld Road, it will be on your right (3.5MYR)
offcial check in time is 2pm,i went 230pm and replied only left 1 room at ground floor, the rest taken though requested high floor during booking 1 week ago. need to pay $50 deposit and fill many physical forms. instant coffee out of stock. need to loan hair dryer from reception. water heater is old and not hot, look like salvaged second hand model of unknown brand, white turn yellow color. TV only had 2 local analogue channels 5 and 8. the positive review by Martin seem like insider to market own hotel. Hotel 81 is much better lower price. the hotel also hold imported people waiting for swab tests results (see image attached), sharing the same small lift, same doors and same air.
Very friendly staff, they will answer any questions you have and will greet you with a smile. The location is suitable, there is a bus stop located very close which is convenient. The breakfast is simple but some toast, cereal and coffee it good for me. The bathrooms are always clean, and there is always hot water. The rooms are clean with convenient storage. If traveling to Singapore by yourself specially for my ladies this is a good place to stay. Oh and there is an amazing ice cream shop close bya and may restaurants.
It is nice cozy hotel in one of the heritage conservation building.. the interior room design is nice with a woody feels. The location is quite good with a 7-11 just opposite the road and 2 bus stops (same location as the 7-11 store) away to bugis junction. The hotel staff are friendly and polite, comparable to 5 star hotel staff.
Everything was good but the bed abit dirty and the room is super small toilet too. When bathing ur clothes in the toilet will get wet as they didn’t have anything to separate toilet and bathroom so I would recommend people to put their clothes outside the Toilet if you don’t want it to get wet. Their service is very good they would help you solve your issues that you are having right away! TV is internet TV so can watch Disney+ and HBO etc but sadly no Netflix app. So overall I would rate 7/10
There is no parking lot, no extra bed, and the hotel does not have breakfast. The hotel commissions the small county liver skewers to make breakfast. Guests need to take the hotel room card to the hotel front desk to exchange breakfast vouchers and then go to the small county liver hotel for breakfast. Chicken, sausages, boiled eggs, canola, broccoli, watermelon pieces, toast, jam, instant coffee, mixed fruit juice. Breakfast is almost the same every day, and the taste is ok. However, the location of the hotel is very good, that is, the room is too small, only a large bed can be put down, no free water, only two bags of instant coffee, boiling water must be picked up in a room on the second floor of the hotel. It is not suitable for bringing children, and the sound insulation is not good. There are windows that cannot be opened.
Stayed here during my trip, booked a family room for 4 (2 adults and kids). I booked using goibibo and they have an option for free breakfast and Dinner or lunch. What is good: at the center of little India, good number of Indian hotels and restaurants, staff's behavior / support is also good. Wifi Works with reasonable speed, they did provide an early check in. Cons: The rooms are small ( i guess this applies for most of the Singapore hotels), AC is slow (especially it takes lot of time to cool , though it works ), No room service provided. The hotel is very small may be around 12 - 15 rooms, so don't expect any extras. Bad: The hotel as such doesn't have a restaurant, they provide coupon (worth SGD 3) that can be redeemed for neighboring Hotel, where for dinner, they don't have VEG Option and break fast u won't get much items other than either dosa / parota with tea / coffee. Its quite misleading to say free breakfast / dinner. Rooms can be maintained well, rooms are so small that you really can't have much space to walk as well. Recommendation: Overall its an average hotel, in prime location near Little india.
Loft Room 403. Love the loft concept & design. Looks very new & clean. Located near to Jln Besar Stadium. Walking distance to food & convenience stores, nearest Mrt is Bendemeer, Lavender & Farrer Park. Room wise - everything is great except it's not SMART TV but there are cable channels. Room phone to front desk isn't working or no one is picking up (but check-out reminder call is working patheticly fine -.-) . I called them thru my HP too
I booked a club room for my birthday using the SRV vouchers but due to the passing of a loved one I had to postpone the trip and because of that I had to top up another $94 just to ammend my dates.
After arranging for the ammendment, there isn't any email to tell me that the hotel is aware of my change in plans. I wasn't aware that you could check in early and we only reached there at 2pm, today we saw a couple checking in as early as 10am in the morning. As a guest maybe you want to take initiative to check with if an early check in is available.
Not sure if there was a miscommunication of any sort but when we were going down to the Club Lounge to have our breakfast, we were asked to sit outside because they didn't allow hotel slippers to be in the lounge. But there are guests in the club longue who are in hotel slippers. I can't help but wonder why.
Oasia has decent rooms but I think the feeling of being welcomed and having personalised service just isn't there yet. It wasn't a fantastic experience I feel.
The four of us stayed here on our visit to singapore. The front desk lady charged or room deposit instead of merely taking a credit card number to charge later in case of damages (this was against policy I discovered later). We stayed in a room with a queen bed and two bunk beds, ensuite bathroom, plus a small balcony. The room was clean and comfortable - all features functioned properly. The location is far from the main areas of the city and on the other side of singapore from the airport. A subway station is about 10-15 minutes walk away. A bus stop is directly in front of the guesthouse. It's a solid 30 minute trip away from little india or little china. Being a hostel we had concerns about noise at night but were not bothered by any. We did not utilize the breakfast option but did eat at the restaurant across the street and found it acceptable. On checkout I found that they could not refund the deposit. After working with the manager over the next several days she refunded the deposit to me via paypal instead of a credit to my original card. That was not desirable at all, but was the best she said she could do. On the whole this was a nice stay, I only advise you to be cautious about your room deposit.
The price is cheap, the location is good, the transportation is more convenient, there are a lot of food around, there are supermarkets, business travel is still a good choice, mainly economic.
Very good, this price is very good.
