The room is great and the view is awesome. Room is clean and tidy. Access to Kyoto Tower and Tourism Guide Center(inside the train station) is effortless if you compare to other valuable hotel. You may also buy bus ticket to Fuji Q-Highland in the next building. Transportation is easy if you stay there. The service is quite nice since the staffs are very helpful and so kind(full of smile). Also, they're quite good in English. You may also get the discount voucher to get into Kyoto Tower Observatorium Deck. Amenities are basic, should be added, like shaving kits, etc.

When you leave Kyoto KARASUMA Station, the yellow and small inn sandwiched between the relatively large hotels is very conspicuous. I tried to repeat it for the first time in 10 years. The interior of the room is completely renovated and clean. I stayed in the western room twin this time as well as the last time, but the view is not bad because the huge Kyoto Station is seen in front of me. This inn is a small western room and most of them seem to be Japanese. I had a quite narrow impression without a lighting desk or table only with a twin bed. It is a unit bus, but the bathtub is large. There are two men's hot water and women's hot water in the basement. Not as big as a bath, but you can use it until 24 o'clock, so you can monopolize it alone if you go late. It's cleaner to get off the elevator and the bath on your right hand. The front desk is also like a station front inn, so it is friendly because there is no place or height of the atmosphere. Most of the guests are school excursion students, but there are many personal guests depending on the time, and they are also used overseas. Let's use the discount coupon at the front desk of Kyoto Tower. In general, it is an inn that can be stayed easily, but it is only standing in front of Kyoto Station, and the price is a little higher for the facilities.

This is the only hotel in Japan that has not registered a passport. I don't know what it is. It is said that it is necessary to check in before 10:30 in the evening, because it is very close to the South Square of Kyoto Station, it is very easy to find, and it is almost rushed to catch up. Tatami is very comfortable to sleep. The bedroom is very spacious, but it is not convenient to move the box in to organize it. There is a soup on the bottom layer that can be soaked, very clean. At night, it is zero at the latest. The door of the female soup has no password lock. If it is a couple of men and women, it is best for the boys to sit at the door and wait for the girls.

If you are a traveller like us who would like some more privacy, this place is not exactly for you. Don't get me wrong, the hotel staff are absolutely wonderful. Just that most things are communal and you have wait for your turn to shower and finish by 11.35. The walls are quite thin indeed, you can easily hear people walking on the hallway or simply chatting in their rooms.

We love staying here so much. The hotel is closed to everything: 3 mins walk to Kyoto station, next to Yodobashi dep. which you can do shopping and find so many restaurants on 6 floor. The staffs are so friendly and helpful. The hotel room is so clean, wide and hygienic. You can pick hotel amenities by yourself next to the receptionist counter. I’ll come back staying here again for sure.

I just saw a three out of five review provided by lady who called herself a “foodie”, whatever that actually means! Look, you are trying to find the local experience meaning you get local living conditions and food. If you don’t want that or can’t accept it, go somewhere else. However, if that is what you are actually looking for, you came to the right place. This is not a fancy Roykan, but the staff is hard working and go out of there way to ensure you have a pleasant stay. We had nothing but great interaction with them, and they catered to our every wish. Very interesting dining experience and I’m unfortunately a bit picky... but I ended up trying lots of different new things. Awesome location making it easy to go anywhere, I highly recommend this place and the staff.

The Pros: - Amazing location to major transportation - Lady seemed nice - Snacks given to us at night The Cons: - Definite smell of a cat living in the house - One of the owners is a heavy smoker. Strong smoke smell when using showers on main floor. - Towels were thin and small. - Hair on beds. Had to kill two mosquitos and spider in room. - Wifi was very week - Had to pay for entire stay upfront upon check-in plus extra tax for being centrally located - Stairs going up were steep and overhang was low so tall people beware - We stayed in the front room upstairs and the noise from outside was like there were no windows at all; we could hear EVERYTHING from the street especially the garbage truck in the really early morning and even people conversations - Limited electrical outlets in the room - Light switch for room was outside the room - Our room was stifling hot when we returned one day as the person cleaning ouor room turned off our AC during the day. Had to leave door open which allowed smell of cat and smoker into our room.

Very nice hotel that is right beside the Kyoto main station. We stayed in the Japanese room which was very modern and well furnished. There is no shortage of dining options both inside and surrounding the hotel. Only shortcoming is for some odd reason they don't provide coffee or ceylon tea in the room.

In a word, it is an inn where you can feel the care of customers and the corporate efforts. It was a cheap plan, so I didn't expect it, but the soft and delicious Japanese beef sukiyaki dinner included fresh sashimi, and the breakfast with hot tofu and hot meat and potatoes was All of them were carefully made, and it was like Kyoto that I was able to have several delicious pickles different from dinner and breakfast, and I was very satisfied. There is a free drink machine in the lobby, a cartoon and a kids space. And what surprised me most was that I had a very delicious craft beer. The only disappointment was that I didn't notice the coffee server installed in the lobby on the other side until I returned the luggage I had left at check-out. I couldn't have hot coffee during my stay. It was an event that I felt again that it was important to explore the hotel ... lol. The bathhouse in Ogaki is wide 々, and there are shampoo, conditioner, body soap, pigment wash, and makeup remover, which is very good, but drinking water is not installed nearby, so It is good to drink ice water and soft drinks in the room. The large and medium baths change between men and women every day, so I took a bath in the morning. The room has a little few outlets, but it was beautifully renovated and comfortable, and some tea bags were placed, and the sweets were delicious and thankful. The hotel staff were all very comfortable and enjoyed the atmosphere of the inn. I would like to stay again if I have another chance. Thank you very much.

It's quiet and easy to spend because it's one station from Kyoto Station. The location is also near the station, and it's easy to understand that you can reach it in just a few minutes from the station. Parks, aquariums and railway museums are also nearby, so you can play with your children. There is a large communal bath, but personally, the hot water is lukewarm and unsatisfactory. I stayed in a standard twin room, but I was able to spend a relaxing time in a room that was perfectly large even if I spread a large suitcase. There are also 6 coin laundry units, which is appreciated for long-term stays. It seems that a group of school excursion students was staying there, and I was worried that I could hear a slapstick noise at a fairly late time. There is also a convenience store, so it's very convenient, but it was very disturbing because a group of school excursion students was shopping and it was very crowded, and I didn't know how to use the self-checkout and was making a fuss. It was. Isn't it shifting such shopping time or the school side manages it? Apart from that, I was able to spend comfortably without any problems.

During our 8-day and 7-night free trip to Kansai, our final destination was Kyoto. Before the trip, we referred to online reviews and chose to stay at the high-value Richmond Hotel Premier Kyoto Shijo. This hotel, which was newly completed in March 2022, wasn't very popular at the time and didn't have many recommendations from travel experts. Richmond Hotel Premier Kyoto Shijo Booked through Agoda for only HKD 1578 for a 2-night stay. Standard Room (2 beds) - Non-smoking Two small double beds Room size: 26 square meters / 280 square feet View: City view Free access to the lounge The hotel is located in the Shijo Karasuma area of Kyoto. It takes about 7-10 minutes on foot to reach it from Exit 24 of Shijo Station on the Kyoto Municipal Subway Karasuma Line or Karasuma Station on the Keihan Electric Railway. Although it's a bit far from the subway station, there is a bus stop near the hotel, which is relatively convenient. The hotel lobby is on the 3rd floor, and there is a large supermarket called LIFE in the ba*****t, which is very convenient! Even if the weather is bad, there's no need to worry about getting wet while buying food. Take the elevator from the less crowded exit next to it to the hotel lobby on the 3rd floor to check-in. 🌟Stylish and Spacious Hotel Lobby🌟 Upon reaching the 3rd floor, the feeling is completely different from the hotel's underground entrance. The design is stylish and the lobby is comfortable and spacious, with self-check-in kiosks available. However, since it was our first stay at Richmond Hotel, we chose to have the hotel staff assist us with the check-in process, and they even kindly offered a Welcome Drink (sake). Additionally, it's worth mentioning that during the stay in Kyoto, an accommodation tax of 200 yen per person per night is required. We stayed for two nights, so the total tax was 800 yen. 🌟Spacious and Comfortable Rooms🌟 As a typical Japanese hotel, Richmond Hotel Premier Kyoto Shijo is clean and comfortable, with an air purifier in the room. Just like the hotels in Osaka, even with two suitcases open, there is still plenty of space to move around (even with three suitcases open, there is still ample space). What surprised us was that the two small double beds in the room were actually Simmons beds, extremely comfortable with just the right firmness, and the hotel's pajamas were soft and comfortable too! The bathroom is a separate shower and bath area, and they provide free bath salts, making it very comfortable to take a bath in the room! 🌟Stylish Room Design🌟 The lighting design is very comfortable, with different modes to choose from, and it also comes with a remote control for the lights, allowing you to adjust the lighting from bed, ensuring a peaceful sleep. It's very thoughtful! 🌟Free Access to the Lounge🌟 Although it wasn't our first time enjoying a hotel lounge, Richmond Hotel Premier Kyoto Shijo's lounge is definitely one of the best! From 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM, they provide an unlimit

We chose this hotel due to itsʻ location and it exceeded our expectations! The hotel staff was helpful and provided information in Japanese and English. We stayed for 13 days and were impressed with the hotelʻs determination to provide us with clean rooms, towels and other items. This hotelʻs location at Shijo/Karasuma made it easy to get to train stations, bus and the subway. There were also many excellent restaurants and shopping possibilities. One of the features we appreciated a lot was the laundry. We also appreciated that it was quiet.. didnʻt even hear people in the halls or doors close. It is not recommended for guests with more luggage or large boxes: First, because the homestay is located in the scenic area of two years and three years, tourists are like weaving during the day, and taxis can't get in at all. You need to drag your suitcase and walk a long uphill and downhill stone road and steps to find a place to live; Second, it is because it is difficult to call the car after checking out. You need to drag your suitcase through the woven stone street to the main road far away to take a taxi... Of course, for guests who have no luggage or less luggage, you may wish to experience the feeling of an old room for one night.

It was my first time using it. I walked from the station. It was hard to find the place, so I found it by the sign of the cafe next door. I was asked to store my luggage before check-in. There is also a large public bath and the breakfast is hearty and delicious ❤️ Breakfast coffee is recommended. The room is also compact, but I felt the ingenuity in the details. There is only a shower booth, but the shower head is large and easy to use. Wind of dryer was strong, too and dried immediately. The receptionist was also kind and had a nice smile. In addition, we want to use. I found a cafe attached to Kiyomizu Temple.

It arrived around 21 o'clock with a plan that can be in from 18:00, and it was in a state that it was not connected unless it called a lot by the phone to the front desk. When I finally thought I was connected, it took a while to confirm the reservation and the waiting time at the entrance was long, so check-in was not smooth. It was the beginning of the year, so I might have been busy, but I wanted you to improve a little more. The room is neither good nor bad. The bath was a bit small for two people to enter. It is reasonable for the price. The ventilation in the bathroom was not stopped, and it was cold, so I got my throat hurt because the air conditioner was fully operational. I thought it would be nice to have a humidifier. I think it's a great deal if you use it for a short time, so I think I'll use free time next time ...

The total previous coupon exchange accommodation of Trip , so the price is very high. The advantage is that it is very close to Kamogawa, Kiyomizu Temple, it is very convenient to walk, the check-in front desk clerk can provide Chinese service, convenient communication, large room, health is OK, the bathroom is dry and wet, drinking water and other facilities are complete. The disadvantage is that the room has noise interference, the sound insulation of the building is poor, the sound of the air conditioner outside the machine will be louder, if it rains, there will be sound when the rain drops to the ceiling next to it, and there may be various noise interferences if the sleep is light.

My friend and I arrived at the hotel early in the morning. The staff was nice and kept our luggage for us so that we could go out and explore the beautiful city of Kyoto. First impression, the exterior looks very Kyoto-esque, and the interior has a little hint that the brand is from Thailand. We got a room on the basement floor, which at first felt a little weird, but it was nice, clean, and had a window that allowed us to see the sky and get some fresh air. There was no moldy smell at all, which was a relief. Also, we spent most of the day outside anyway. Room is as cozy as the name suggests in the booking and it is super clean. The size is standard for Japan, with a smart design that includes normal-sized luggage storage under the bed. Bed is soft and the linens are clean. Only weird thing at first was that the sink is separate from the bathroom. But on second thought, maybe that's a good thing; one person can take a shower while another can brush their teeth. The shower room has a standing shower with great pressure and temperature control, but no bathtub. The amenities smell good, and the towels are good quality. Surprise! The free WiFi internet is super fast. I was able to back up 100 photos and 10 videos with no problem. Location: The hotel is in the middle of two underground train stations, so you can get in and out easily by walking for 3-4 minutes. However, for the first day, especially when you have a lot of luggage or big oversize luggage, and if you don't want to go around crossing the street looking for escalators or elevators, it's better to take a taxi. The hotel and Kyoto station are not too far apart at all. I know that taxi rides in Japan are rumored to be expensive, but it's up to you if you want to save your bag or your back. After you are free from your luggage, you can even walk 5-8 minutes to the shopping street or even 20-30 minutes to the famous Kiyomizu-dera Temple, which we did after recovering from 10 hours of sitting at the airport and on the flight. Since Kyoto has a lot to explore and there is great food out there, even food from combini Family Mart and 7-Eleven nearby, we did not try the room service or restaurant at the hotel. Sorry about that. In conclusion, this is a brand new, renovated hotel that is clean and has a nice location. I will revisit and recommend it to my family, friends, and favorite colleagues.

You can go from Kyoto Station by 1 station and take a taxi within 1000 yen. When going to the guest room area from the front desk, there is an automatic door, and it will not open unless you hold the room key, so security is also solid. The elevator is also large. The room was well cleaned, very clean and the room was large and comfortable. The bath was large, and it was not a hotel faucet that was difficult to use, but an ordinary type of easy-to-use faucet. The separate place from the toilet was also good. It was good that the amenities were substantial and there was a bath salt. Free PET bottle water, drip coffee, tea packs are also available. Since it is a new hotel, the facilities are easy to use and there are many outlets, so it was convenient. You can also watch YouTube and Netflix on TV. General hotel rooms have many dim orange lighting, but the main lighting of this hotel is white, so it was good. It was comfortable because I couldn't hear the noise in the next room, the upper floors and the corridor. You can rest assured that the large communal bath has a security card dedicated to women only. There were many kinds of breakfast buffets and it was very delicious. When I checked out, I was asked, ”Did you have any inconvenience in your room?”, but nothing was wrong. I heard about the inconvenience and thought it was to respond quickly. You can leave your baggage for free after check-out, so you can go sightseeing empty-handed. The only inconvenience I felt was ... If you are in a room near the JR track, it is far from the elevator to the room. It was difficult to walk with a heavy suitcase because it was quite fluffy floor material, probably because it was to improve the soundproofing of the corridor. Even if I walked normally, I felt tired feet walking on the sandy beach. It may be unavoidable due to the structure of the building, but it was a pity that I could hardly see the Kyoto Tower from the rooftop, but I could see the trains and Shinkansen, and the mountains 々 in the distance. Tables, chairs and benches are installed, so I think you can spend a pleasant time in spring and autumn when the climate is good. It was a very good hotel, so I would like to use it again.

We chose this ryokan because of the affordable price and location. When we arrived, our bags had been placed in our room (we'd sent them from our previous hotel via the takkyubin service), which was a nice touch. The room felt very small for the two of us. There was basically just enough floor space for our two futons laid out right next to each other. However, there is a large closet where they normally store the futons that we were able to use to store our luggage and other items when we rolled out the futons. The futons were very thin; I felt like I was pretty much just sleeping on the floor and it was rather uncomfortable. We got one of the private rooms so we would have our own bathroom but again, the bathroom was very small. Of course, we didn't spend a ton of time in the room anyway as we were out and about most of the time so the small space was not a dramatic downside. The neighborhood was quiet, which we liked, and the staff were very friendly. We had the western-style breakfast a couple mornings and it was quite good! All in all, it is an affordable stay in Kyoto, but I can't say that it is the most comfortable option. I would also warn that if you are looking specifically for a great ryokan experience and not just for a place to crash, this might not be the type of place you're looking for.

Went to both dinner and breakfast in the Yukatas they supplied. Really enjoyed that experience. I tried out the onsen, which was very well appointed but I didn’t stay long as I overheated. I believe the onsen to be less appealing in the summer when you’re over heated all day. But I did want to give it a go. The ryokan is super close (walking distance ) to the main shopping areas. They gave me a lift in the morning to pick up my rental car. They provided umbrellas when we were going out and they thought it might rain. Just extremely thoughtful service here. My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. Highly recommended and would definitely return.

R&B Hotel Kyoto Shijyo Kawaramachi

Kawaramachi

It is located at the entrance of Buddhist temple street for about 4 minutes walk from Shijo Kawaramachi. In the cheap version of the Washington Hotel, there is no public bathhouse that cuts the service to the edge and is popular in business hotels. The room size, facilities, etc. are standard for business hotels. Bedding, toothbrushes and razors are received at the front desk. However, the quality of razors was bad and the skin was cut. It is a pity that the lighting in the room is white fluorescent color and it is cold 々 impression. This wants to improve. Check out only puts the card into the machine. Not long after the opening, the building is beautiful overall. However, I think the hair remains on the bus and the cleaning is one now. Breakfast with free is a minimum set of several kinds of warm bread and cup soup, coffee and juice. Coffee had a cup service that could be drunk in the room. The price setting of 6000 yen is a major business hotel with a price of close to 20000 yen in business, and this location, this fee, and this facility can be said to be the best level without complaint. It is recommended because the net reservation of the company becomes the cheapest.

Two people lived in a whole Japanese-style villa ~ The room was very clean and beautiful. There were bungalows and tatami style rooms. The bathroom also had a super-class automatic bathtub. There was a comment on Expedia that the general hotel photos look better than the room, but here is the opposite. I agree too much that the actual room is much better than the photo ~, but pay attention to the checkin time to make an appointment with the store, that is, the store will send an email after placing the order. The young lady who came to pick us up checkin was very cute. It was a Chinese lady who was very good in Japanese and English. ~ It felt so good. If you missed it because there was no evaluation, it would be a pity 😆.

What needs to be improved: 1. The check-in address of the house and the address of the house are not the same place, and they are far apart; for tourists who do not understand Japanese, many problems are added. When we arrived that night, we couldn't find where to check in, which caused a lot of time delay; 2. We have made an appointment for the garbage cleaning service, but we went around and came back and found that the garbage was still piled up at home, and the service was bad; 3. About the facilities: The toilet and bathroom do not have heating facilities. I contacted for a long time and brought a heating facility. Shouldn't the room facilities be checked from time to time? 4. The overall feeling is very general. Friends who are more concerned about the above issues can consider carefully.

Very warm one-family building, although far from the station (very close to the second year of Han), but the environment is very good, very warm, quiet, can also experience the Japanese home life, suitable for family travel.

The hotel is very new and clean, the room is large, but it is a little distance from the city center, there is no lift equipment, you need to take the suitcase up and down, there is a parking lot nearby, it is convenient to drive by yourself.

The location is relatively living area, a little distance from the subway but acceptable. very quiet. The English at the front desk is very good, and there is a girl who can speak Chinese. The bathtub is very comfortable, generally OK, and looks better than the photos, and it's okay for a family. It was very expensive when I went in May, but now it is much cheaper in July☹️
