Stayed here for a weekend event at Olympia. This little gem is ideally located for transport next to Shepherds Bush station. There are a number of bars and restaurants nearby as well as on the doorstop of the Westfield centre. Staff are so friendly and cannot do enough to make your stay a good one. Room was modern and clean with tea coffee facilities and a fridge and water left. We would definitely book to stay here again

OK, I have to be careful not to totally slate this place, because it's basically a fair enough hostel for the price. However... The entire cardkey entry system was down for 4 days - meaning everyone left the dorms open 24/7, rather than go downstairs and get the poor bugger on reception to come up & open the door every time someone needed to take a piss. That's not great for security. I switched dorms mid-stay. No problem with the dorms, it was just they didn't have a bed available in the same dorm for a whole week. The lockers in both dorms were too small to put much in and the locks on both my designated lockers were broken, as were about half the others. This didn't stop someone using mine for a couple of days and putting a padlock on it, even though twisting the lock open - padlock or not - would have been easy. I was only putting my shoes & coat in there anyway. I stuck them on the end of my bed! On the plus side, there are some excellent lockers in the basement Chill Out Room, available for £2.50 per day on a coin-operated machine. You can get two proper backpacks in them. That's good value, though having to trek to the basement is a ball-ache. The dorms were very cramped. I don't expect an army barracks style of comfort: my bar at hostels is the standard set for Aussie and Pommie prisons these days! Spacewise, the dorms were well short of my bar! There are lots of old court and police station buildings where people aren't allowed to be held overnight nowadays because the cells are so small they violate Yooman Rights! The two dorms I was in fell short of that! Less than a metre between the two rows of bunks in the bigger dorm and about 2 feet between the bunk and a projecting bit of wall in the smaller one. The bigger dorm had a sink just inside the door, opposite the (broken) lockers, but the space inside the door - between the sink & (broken) lockers and before the bunks - wasn't much more than a square metre... and you're obviously in the way of anyone going in or out as you stand in front of the (broken) lockers. The smaller (6-bed) dorm had a sink by the window, which was more practical. Also... The website pic showed 2-bed bunks as the set-up when I booked online. The actual set-up in both dorms was 3-bed bunks. That's a bit cheeky. I was in the middle bunk in both dorms. I didn't have a tape measure handy, but the space between the middle and top bunk was significantly short of 2 shoe lengths - and I'm not Shaquille O'Neal in foot size. Well short of 60cm. If you fancy a career in the submarine corps, or if you're a method actor about to play a Silesian coal miner in a film set in the 1800s, this is fine. As it is if you're 1.40m tall. For anyone else, it's a mite cramped. There was no pillow on my bed on the first night, though one appeared on the second day. Beds were pretty comfortable, though the mattresses had squeaky plastic exteriors - can't whinge there: Poms aren't good with holding alcohol and I can imagine acci

The staff is friendly and helpful and we received a personal welcome note as well as a free bottle of water and a magnet of London, when we arrived. The location of the hotel is great: Just a few minutes away from Shepherd's Bush underground and overhround station (Zone 2), around the corner are a small mall and several good restaurants. The breakfast was okay (Full English breakfast, continental breakfast and cerials), although some porridge and some more fruits would have been great. The room had a good size with sound-proof windows and it was great to have an AC. The bathroom is okay, but the water pressure isn't great (like everywhere in the UK). What we didn't like so much was the cleaning service. It could have been better: even after a few days the floor has still been pretty dusty. Still: we would recommend this hotel, as we had a good time.

More of a 3 star than a 4 star. We usually get a certain type of rooms in different countries but here the room was below our expectation. Various points were wrong, the staff was responsive and offered to change rooms by upgrading us. We declined because we had already unpacked. The plus is the proximity to the metro and a relatively decent price for London

This hotel is a clean modern hotel which is well maintained. My wife and I stayed here twice, for 3 and 4 days respectively while touring the UK. The rooms were comfortable for sleeping, quiet and the air-conditioning worked well. The bathrooms were well designed and very clean. Housekeeping was fine. The major problem was that both of our rooms were very small and they had virtually no space for clothing. There was no usable drawer space and closets were tiny and had an inadequate number of hangers as well. If you are traveling for other than 1-2 days, there is no place to put anything. Living out of suitcases for 4 days or more does not add to the enjoyment of one's trip. The Breakfast is at best, just OK. There is a minimal amount of fresh fruit and while you can order off a hot breakfast menu, most things we ordered were not very good, so we stopped doing that. The Reception staff was marginally helpful. No one came to help us with our luggage. If you need a taxi or limo to take you to the airport, you are on your own. In addition, the front of the hotel is covered by bus stops so the taxi or limo has to try to find a place to pull us to load or unload. There are just a lot of annoying things about this hotel, some could be remedied, others probably not. For my next visit to London, I will not be staying here.

We have stayed in the residence part of the establishment****t. The location is ideal to enjoy all the comforts of the neighborhood such as restaurants and the best bars / pubs in the corner. The hotel is located in the centre of the city, and the hotel is located in the centre of the city. The room/ apartment is really well thought and with superb colors while staying class and over. With a table of dining room, and the very comfortable sofa, we feel like at home. Not less than 3 WC, 2 bathrooms, 2 bedrooms are available to you. This is on the floor you will find, the night space. The hotel is a very good place to enjoy the glass bays in the apartment, which will bring you a beautiful brightness and a wonderful view of the Shepherd's Bush green park. The hotel is a very friendly, professional and serviceable staff, and it is very friendly and helpful. We feel a real service when you pass the doors. We will not miss going again to Dao By Dorsett during our next London escape! We recommend closed eyes.

Stayed here last night with my son, we were at the stadium for a concert. This place is literally a walk down the hill to the stadium so perfect location. I couldn’t fault it really, it is a pub with rooms above- not a fancy hotel. I feel other reviews are very unfair… We paid 1/4 of the price to other places at Wembley. Our room was spotlessly clean with super comfy beds. would definitely book again!

We had to leave very unexpectedly, but did find the hotel a little run down looking from the outside. We had arrived early and the room was ready, but we could only check in early for an extra charge which we declined, as we were going out anyway so just left our bags in the car. The room was supposed to be an executive room however, it was like any other room we had ever stayed in so don’t know what was executive about it. Tea tray was a bit stingy with 1 packet of biscuits between 2 of us (1 biscuit each). Only 4 milk cartons, but plenty of tea and coffee sachets. The bathroom had nice shower gel and lotion supplied with plenty of towels but, also had blue insulation tape on the radiator and the ceiling above the bath was peeling it all looked a little tired. The room was clean and perfectly comfortable, but definitely lacked that added luxury that I thought we had upgraded to with executive. Maybe that was my own fault not checking exactly what the difference was between normal and executive aside from the price. Sadly, our trip was cut short with an emergency, so we never got to stay overnight or sample the breakfast.

Some hiccups during checkin. We specified in our booking that we have 2 kids. We even stated their ages. When we arrived, they said booking is only made for 2 adults. I showed them everything I have to prove my booking. They said we used a 3rd party agent to book (ie trip.com). The agent made a mistake and we should talk to them. (What???? ) But they will do me a favour and do the talking… ?? (Doing me a favour like I did sth wromg??). In the end they upgrade us to a family suite, adding that it could be for 1 night only, they may require us to move and bla bla bla….. Yes you upgraded me but so what! Your staff’s attitude is the whole problem. I used a 3rd party agent, but it’s a company you approved of. When problems arise you blame it on customer?! I gave a 2/5 for service simply bcoz of the upgrade.

I lived in this hotel for the first time in the UK. The experience was very good at the time, the hotel is in a good location and cost-effective, so I thought I would choose to stay here afterwards. I wanted to book a room in advance for the second time this time, but chose a lot of dates without a room. Later only accessible rooms were available. Think about staying alive for two nights. Because one of them happens to be a New Year's Eve, it goes without saying that the price is not cost-effective. The room I gave was facing the street, and I didn't sleep well after a night of noisy. And this time the service attitude was very average. Retaining luggage is also reluctant. The front desk was also lazy. In short, I won't come next time. In the end, a penny is a penny, and a willingness to spend money on Mayfair's Marriott.

Staff were amazing and attentive when issues arose. Booked the king size room which was large and spacious but that’s where the good parts end. - Air Condition did not work (Told reception when we got in at night and was given a fan) - Mini fridge did not work, so gave the food we bought to amazing receptionist - lamp in the corner was not plugged in, had to move the table from the wall to switch it on. - Bathroom wasn’t wiped down properly so you could see the residue of the last guests. Besides the amazing staff who helped and gave good local recommendations for bars and restaurants the quality of the hotel was lacking. Would not be staying again.

A MUST STAY hotel if you are in London but prefer to be a little bit outside of central but have Canary Wharf and the River Thames literally on your doorstep. There is an amazing shuttle boat that takes you for free across to Canary Wharf which is something you need to experience whilst staying. Very nice stay at the Bankside hotel though not without some difficulties. We had asked for a quiet room but were placed right next to the lift lobby and opposite the water dispenser, and with hard floors throughout the lift lobby and entrance area of the rooms this meant a LOT of noise coming in the room at all hours. In fairness, the front desk tried to find an alternative but it was not what we were looking for so we opted to stay where we were and made the best of it. Aside from this everything else about the stay was great, a really lovely modern hotel with very friendly and fun staff, great breakfast (though not cheap) and good location on the South Bank. We would definitely stay here again (though ask not to be in this room location). Special mention to breakfast staff who helped get extra fruit for our toddler and concierge who gave him Christmas gifts from the tree... lovely touches.

Everything was very good. Breakfast offers a lot of coice - except warm breakfast is only on Weekends. On the Trip site the check in time is incorrect (ov voucher it says after 12, but it is after 14) - despite us coming too early, they gave us the room and made coffee for free. Good location, very close to Imperial College, in the middle of Gloucester Road and South Kensington subway station, it is more convenient to transfer to anywhere. The hotel faces the street and is more or less noisy at night. It is also a residential renovation. Although the facilities are not old (in the case of Britain), the house is a bit crowded. The self-service ibis is quite good value for money and the Crowne Plaza next to it doesn't feel much better than it.

Where to start...first impressions were not good at all. We stayed on Wednesday 11th November. We were locked out, despite staff knowing we would be arriving late (we arrived at 23:15). We tried for 15 minutes, in the pouring rain to get in, we called and called and called..no answer and then the door miraculously opened as if by magic. We got to reception to be greeted by the most miserable person we have ever met. No apology, no hello, no nothing just ”gotta reservation?”..as someone who runs a 4 star hotel this guy wouldn't have a job, how he (Asian, 5ft 10ish, black jumper) actually HAS a job I'll never know all I can think is nepotism. I realise we are in London, the land of no manners but we expected more from a 4 star hotel. Anyway, our room was ok, no toiletries, only 1 set of towels (Covid? Who knows), poor tv channels and a non working remote due to our 'Mr. Miserable' host we didn't want to complain incase we made him cry. Nice pillows in the room, I like firm pillows. Breakfast was nice considering and the server Faruk/Faruq was lovely. An asset and a saving grace to our trip, helpful, friendly, welcoming, couldn't do enough for us maybe he could train Mr. Miserable in how to be nice. Our check out was smooth our receptionist asked how our stay was honestly we couldn't be bothered to tell her about our check in and bet she wouldn't have done anything anyway. All in all we wouldn't stay in a holiday Inn again, we have had better service in an Ibis.

Double check when booking about breakfast being included in your rate and be aware it is a simple boxed 'continental' breakfast; Parking, though advertised is not free - from £10 per night, again check when booking and spaces are limited. I have spent 40 years traveling the world and I have stayed in the smallest hotels that Japan has to offer including capsule hotels. Hotel Mimi beats them all - the room I stayed in was small, really small with no window. But it was great! - I knew what I was letting myself in for but I knew all I wanted was a comfortable bed and somewhere to wash and the room excelled at both of these things. Beautiful marble bathroom with Molton Brown soaps and shampoos. Now, if you ask if it was worth the nearly £200 I paid the answer is no - but this is London and thats what you have to pay. Stay at Mimi's - but make sure you know what you could experience.

Service was lacking when it came to moving bags in and out of the room, it goes a long way for someone’s experience when a staff member offers to carry or help with one’s bags especially when there is a few of them to carry or even having a luggage porter/trolley on site so one doesn’t have to make multiple trips up and down from the room. I arrived at the hotel extremely early, just after 14:00 and understandly my room was not yet ready. Joshua gave me a drinks voucher and set me up in the downstairs bar / restaurant. It's comfy and quiet down there and I was able to get on with some work. Once my room was ready I discovered that I had been upgraded which was a pleasant surprise. Then later in the evening Joshua was kind enough to bring me up a fan along with a key that allowed him to open the windows. So often you're just another number, but not tonight. Joshua was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and polite. I will use this hotel as often as possible and recommend it to others.

While I did not have high expectations for this hotel given its price point and location, I anticipated basic comfort which. The majority of the room's amenities were outdated, yet still within an acceptable standard for me. However, the air conditioning system was disappointingly inadequate; it failed to produce heat and emitted only cold air. Despite the staff promptly providing an electric heater when alerted to this issue, the room remained uncomfortably cold. The most disconcerting part of my stay was the condition of the bedding. The filler in the duvet had clumped together, as evidenced by the attached photo, likely due to improper washing. This left me with little more than two thin sheets in zero-degree weather, with a non-functional heating system. To find some warmth, I resorted to wearing additional clothes and draping my down jacket over the duvet—a far cry from a comfortable night's sleep. I must commend the hotel staff, who were excellent throughout this ordeal. Their service was the only warm aspect of my stay.
