The room size is acceptable for solo or 2 travellers. No toothpaste/toothbrush/slippers.. Staffs was friendly especially concierge. Paid $38 for their breakfast which I totally regret cause theres not much varieities. Would rather eat out which is cheaper n nicer. Room is clean. lots of eateries, malls, Asian shops and Korean beauty products store. Distance to Emporium is less than 5 mins walk. Through out my stay, I spent walking instead of taking their transport due to crowd. Few cafes outside of the hotel for breakfast or coffees. Overall I had a pleasant stay. Would definitely stay here again if Im in Melbourne. Maybe during off peak season.

Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel, especially for solo travelers. Excellent value and a wonderful experience!

The room was decent, and the bed was incredibly soft, a real 'white-people bed' as they say, with excellent blackout curtains perfect for sleeping. We booked a one-bedroom suite, and the staff thoughtfully added an extra bed for us. The only downside was the somewhat chaotic front desk management. When we checked in, they told us the suite we booked was unavailable, claiming it was double-booked and offering us a standard room instead. It was the first time I'd heard of being downgraded because a room wasn't available! 😂 After I showed them our confirmation, they fiddled around a bit and eventually 'found' a suite for us. However, our booking included breakfast, and after the room change, we couldn't access the breakfast area the next day. We had to go back to the front desk to explain the situation again, and they finally gave us a card. On the second morning of our stay, we again couldn't get breakfast and spent another half an hour sorting it out. It was quite a hassle, making me feel like the money spent wasn't really worth it. Throughout the whole process, there was no mention of compensation; they just fixed the immediate problem. In previous hotels, when there was an issue, they usually provided a better experience after resolving it. As for the restaurant teacups, honestly, they weren't clean; many had coffee stains.

I recently stayed at Novotel Melbourne on Collins, and overall it was a great experience. The location is unbeatable — right in the heart of the city, with easy access to shops, cafes, and public transport. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable, with large windows overlooking Collins Street. The bed was very cozy and ensured a good night’s sleep. Staff were friendly and helpful, especially at check-in — they made everything smooth and welcoming. Breakfast had a good variety of options, and the dining area was bright and pleasant. The gym and facilities were well-maintained, though the pool was a bit small. Overall, it’s an excellent choice for both business and leisure stays. The combination of great location, comfort, and professional service makes it one of the best value stays in Melbourne CBD.

If you’re looking for a hotel with high-rise city views, this may not be the one for you. But if you appreciate heritage architecture, this is a fantastic choice. Housed in a beautifully restored former equity building, the hotel blends classic charm with modern comfort. I especially liked the historic elevator features and the Luci restaurant, whose vintage design adds a unique touch to the breakfast experience. Speaking of which, breakfast was lovely - THOUGH I do wish barista-made coffee was included, considering the price point. Service throughout the hotel was consistently excellent. The front desk staff were warm and welcoming, creating a human and heartfelt atmosphere right from check-in. Room service was impressively responsive. One time our in-room dining order arrived a bit late, but the kitchen made up for it with a thoughtful gesture, which really enhanced the overall experience. The bathroom had a semi-open shower design, but water didn’t splash out much, so it wasn’t an issue. I also really appreciated the full set of Hunter Lab toiletries. It’s a great touch to feature high-end Australian products that reflect the local character. All in all, I’d recommend this hotel for its service and comfortable, well-thought-out experience.

We stayed altogether three nights here. The hotel was converted from a historical building dated back to 1890s . We enjoyed the stay-included breakfast at Alluvial restaurant. It got charming vibe. the King Classic room we stayed is spacious consider it is in zone 1 of Melbourne. The hotel is in walking distance to many of the Melbourne city attractions we are even able to take some rest in the room in our planned city walking trip in the middle of a very hot summer sunny day. The bathroom provides Byredo toiletries which we like. However, the decor is a bit dated and need refreshing and we are not happy with the service level of the staff. For example, the phone handfree function is not working properly; the safe is according to the hotel ”in the process of replacement” and not working either; the call to ”Instant Service” for help often took more than 5-seconds ring especially during the night time. There is even a false fire alert during one of the morning time of our stay. I doubt it is a standard of Intercontinental hotel or a 5-star rated hotel. For whom consider staying at this room type of this hotel, please note the windows is fixed and facing the hallway so the room has 1. no natural sunlight 2. no fresh air and 3. needs closing the curtains all the time if you prefer privacy. Another point worth noting is the bathroom floor is very slippery after bath, I would call it a death trap if you wear the one-off slippers that is provided in the room as you can easily get a slip and fall on the bathroom floor even for a grown adult.

Overall, the environment at Park Hyatt Melbourne is truly excellent. Both the design aesthetic and the overall ambiance reflect the high standards expected of a luxury hotel. The rooms are very spacious and well-arranged, making for a comfortable stay. The gym is well-equipped, which is a big plus for those who enjoy working out, and the pool is clean with a comfortable water temperature, perfect for relaxation. The breakfast was surprisingly good, with a wide variety and high quality, especially their freshly made egg dishes and bread. It's one of the more satisfying breakfasts I've had at a hotel in Australia. And all things considered, the value for money is also very good; it's definitely worth it. The service was almost impeccable. The staff were all professional and friendly, and many details were handled very well. However, a slight disappointment was that the room's cleanliness could be improved. For example, the phone in the toilet was noticeably dirty, which slightly affected the overall experience. But when I reported the issue to the front desk, they waived some minor charges for me. Overall, it was a very good stay. It would be even more perfect if they had stricter control over the cleanliness details. It's suitable for both business travel and leisure vacations, and I highly recommend it.

The staff are super helpful and friendly. But the bathroom and toilet facilities are a bit outdated. The tap over the wash basin keeps dripping water and it's making loud dripping sound that it's disturbing our sleep. Since we only stayed for a couple of nights, so we did not bother to ask for change of room. Also, it really difficult to turn the tap on and off with these old-styled taps. Hopefully some renovation is in line soon when we come back next year to stay there...

I had a positive experience at this hostel, primarily due to the friendly and attentive service. The staff were always willing to assist and respond to any needs that arose during my stay. Location: The hostel is conveniently located just a three-minute walk from Flinders Street Station. Additionally, there are trams nearby, making it easy to navigate the city. The transportation options are excellent. Facilities: The hostel offers shared spaces, including a quiet working room, a communal kitchen, and a small library of books for guests to enjoy. The atmosphere is lively, providing ample opportunities to meet new friends. Room Experience: However, sharing a room with ten people can feel quite cramped, and the experience heavily depends on the cleanliness and habits of your roommates. I often heard phone conversations at night, and personal belongings were sometimes scattered across the floor. While these factors are beyond the hostel's control, they can affect the overall experience. Restroom Condition: The bathrooms could be brighter and feel a bit dated. A renovation would be beneficial to improve their appearance. Overall, aside from the issues mentioned, I found my stay satisfactory. I would consider returning in the future if the opportunity arises.

Initially the’ve given me the worst room on my first day. It has really a bad smell which is coming from the carpet I think. With very bad vibes, dark, and its hard to breathe like literally. Centrally located in Melbourne's CBD, the hotel features a sleek, business-style decor. The rooms are not very spacious, and the layout is quite compact. My king room had no window, and the door couldn't even close properly because the king-sized bed took up so much space it would get stuck against it. In contrast, the twin rooms have windows and feel much brighter and airier. It's a serviced apartment with all the expected amenities, perfect if you need to prepare a simple breakfast or coffee. It comes with a full cooktop, dishwasher, washing machine (though I didn't use it), fridge, toaster, microwave, plus a dining table and crockery/cutlery. The surrounding area offers convenience stores, cafes, and restaurants to meet all your daily needs. Being very close to the High Court, it's common to see formally dressed legal professionals carrying thick files, which adds a unique touch to the local scene. I would definitely choose Wyndham again for my next visit to Melbourne.

Service: The service was great, and the front desk staff were very enthusiastic. They even asked if I had a preferred room number or numbers I wanted to avoid, which was very considerate. Environment: However, the overall room size was very small. The room I was given seemed to be a disabled-access room, with a very large bathroom, but I didn't like that there were so many rooms on that floor. Facilities: There's a gym and a swimming pool, but the pool is tiny, almost not suitable for actual swimming. The hotel entrance is a bit hard to find, located in what's essentially an alley. But the surrounding area is quite lively, with plenty of coffee shops and shopping options.

This used to be my top choice for hotels in Melbourne for years, but this trip was quite disappointing. The carpets were old, and the closet door creaked and wouldn't close properly. What was even more frustrating was that housekeeping didn't come to clean for two days straight. Coming back to an uncleaned room after a day out was a real mood killer. I had to call multiple times to finally get it arranged. The breakfast coffee was decent, but the variety of dishes was limited. The Chinese options were tucked away in the very corner; the char siu bao and fried noodles were extremely salty, and the pork in the siu mai was very fishy. This is the first time I've had to complain about a hotel I chose myself... 😑

It was my birthday when I checked in. My flight arrived at 7 AM, so I went straight to the hotel, and they let me check in at 9 AM (I've never experienced this before; even with available rooms, you usually have to wait until after 2 PM). I was so happy because I really needed to catch up on sleep after a long flight. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant, and since it was my birthday, they brought us wine and a small cake! Room was tastefully decorated with decent amenities but had a few critical issues: - mattress was sloping downwards on one end - bathroom had a rain shower but the open wall design (lack of doors) meant that the water was constantly splashing out. What’s the point of a rain shower if we can’t use it because of the water splashing out? - no fan / ventilation in the bathroom. We spent time in airbnbs and older apartments in Tasmania but the Motley Richmond hotel in Melbourne was the only accommodation without an airvent / fan! Not really acceptable for a 4 star hotel, as it left our bathroom smelly and/or stuffy. - kettle barely fit underneath the tap if we wanted to boil a cup of tea. Once again, the little things showed that the team did not think through the furniture design and appliance and the overall customer experience.

We had multiple issues with our 7 nights stay. Which some has been addressed and fixed immediately. One thing we do recommend to confirm check upon arrival or when booking. Lack of view - we’ve booked the 1 bedroom premium room. From the pictures it looked like floor to ceiling big windows with open view but we were assigned to a room situated in the heritage floors (2nd) which the windows are 1.5m high so have to tippy toes to see the view. Limited sunlight also, bathroom has no window. Issues we encountered 1) hall way light - wasn’t working on the first night when we checked in at 11pm. We couldn’t even find our room number cause it was so dark, we used the torch on our phone. Wasn’t a nice first impression if you are scared of dark hallways. The sensor was fixed the next day. 2) phone wasn’t working - so we couldn’t contact the front desk. We got in late with a toddler, so we put on ‘do not disturb’ sign but someone banged the door at 8am, to reach us to ‘fix the issues’. Not sure why can’t they just slip us a note under the door. 3) so many flies - the breakfast restaurant have serious pest issues. There were more than 10 flies flying around the buffet and the tables. We didn’t feel comfortable eating there after one visit. The whole duration of the meal, we were waiving off the fly. Major hygiene concern! 4) housekeeping was very average, barely cleaned the room daily. Only made the bed. 5) overall the staff were all friendly, special appreciation to the male staff at the breakfast room. The lady duty manager didn’t seem friendly, carries an attitude and likes to talk over you. Location is great, round the corner from the tram line. Will I stay again, most likely not. Feels more like a 4 star hotel, definitely not 5 star.

Rydges is a great hotel and the location is perfect. This is my second time staying here. The first time, I booked a Deluxe King Corner Room with the church view, that room is absolutely gorgeous. This time we stayed in a Twin King Suite. The view isn’t as nice, but having the beds separated from the sitting area is perfect, especially for the kids bedtime. A couple of downsides: the pool isn’t very kid-friendly if your children aren’t strong swimmers, or if you’re shorter and need to supervise them closely. The shallow end is still 1.2 metres deep. The couch in the room is also not very comfortable, honestly, the floor felt like a better option. We also had trouble getting through to reception from the room phone. We tried calling four times with no answer and ended up walking down, which was fine, but a bit inconvenient. Room service picked up quickly though, so I’m not sure if there’s an issue with their reception line. Overall, still a lovely stay, just a few things to be aware of.

The hotel service was excellent, and the staff were incredibly friendly. Our room had a city view. Both at check-in and check-out, the staff helped us with our luggage. A particularly helpful male staff member gave us a detailed introduction to nearby attractions and even showed us a shortcut to Chinatown for dinner. The location is very convenient, with plenty of free trams nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

I was a bit nervous when I booked it, wondering how small a 9-square-meter room would be, but it was actually perfectly sufficient for one person. The bathroom is a bit on the smaller side, but it's adequate for an Asian person. The location is excellent, right opposite Southern Cross Station. It's a five-minute walk from the SkyBus stop, and there's a 7-Eleven right downstairs.

The hotel's hygiene is excellent, and the lobby is spacious and bright. There are plenty of elevators, so even during peak hours, you don't wait long. The rooms are also spacious with beautiful window views; one side should offer a clear view of the river connecting the North and South banks, perfect for watching New Year's fireworks. Housekeeping is arranged from the third day of your stay, and they do a thorough and clean job. Overall, I'm very satisfied, although the location is a bit far from the CBD and Melbourne's main attractions. However, once you cross to the North Bank, you're not far from the tram free zone, which makes up for it. 👍👍👍

Clean, quiet, convenient, safe, and reasonably priced. It's right opposite a police station and a large supermarket, and close to the train station. The Atlantis Hotel is directly across from the Victoria Police Centre and Coles Central Supermarket, and very close to Southern Cross Station, making it incredibly convenient for train and Skybus travel [strong recommendation emoji]. Highly recommended!

I was fined for droping my luggages at the reception it took me only 5 minutes parking in front of the hotel to drop 4 luggages at hotel reception. It make a very bad first impression for the hotel. The fine was $150. Room was very big and clean. I was very impressive.

Initially the’ve given me the worst room on my first day. It has really a bad smell which is coming from the carpet I think. With very bad vibes, dark, and its hard to breathe like literally. I’m not sure why they are still giving this room to their guesses I’m sure they can also feel it. I’ve complained and thankfully they let me transfer to the other room thanks for the receptionist

The location is great—close to the CBD, so no issues there. However, the bathroom layout was disappointing. There was no holder for essentials inside the shower, and the towel rack was placed far from the shower area. I'm not sure how they came up with such an impractical design. Overall, I’d say the hotel deserves an average rating.
